I got a hate love relationship with this classic Playstation game. Every time I got to the 3rd fleet level those parallel beams got me every damn time. Love this game to pieces ❤️
Ray Storm, force and crisis titles.. is there anymore of these games franchise or it's just there 3 ? Wish theres a Ray collection of these games for Nintendo switch port including physical release.. and I think neo contra borrowed or inspired from this game franchise..

i played this as a child on ps1 but i remember the final boss was slightly different, the blue eye you attack in the middle would change colors from blue to yellowish to orange to red as its health got lower
No wonder there is so much death *The Arcade version is HARD as balls* On the Console version, it was set to normal diff, which is easier for those who wanted to chase WR score Putting the game on the hardest diff possible on Console version is basically the only way to experience the real Arcade Mode xD

@@arronmunroe Can we get an update? Any other source/site not working, one worked but textures are popping making it unplayable, tried fixing because i thought it was a screen Hz issue but not working.
Ok so the right way to play the lockon games is to not fire. Just accumulate max lockons on one point and only fire when it has maxed out. You will get a deep purple or black area on the target. It looks like a black hole. This is maximum damage. Keep doing that with lockons.

Partly, it's just that I have a lot of other games to upload, but I think it also is related to how vhr2121 had been unable to play until more recently, and he was the one I was going to play this game with. It was actually in 2018 when I first mentioned to him about playing it.
Saw one they got by accident or luck. Nobody knows how to play this game properly. Same with Gamera 2000 which used the same Taito game engine and lockon system.

I’ve got the Saturn version (Layer Section 2) and I love this particular 90´s Japanese Arcade mood it gives back. Especially the music.
