This was a very difficult game for an early light gun shooter. Sequel, "Beast Busters: Second Nightmare" is a true replica of HotD as it is 3D. However it's very rare as its platform, Neo-Geo 64, was cancelled and is very poorly emulated.
This isn't a Neo Geo game. If you can't get Neo Geo games to work on MAME, it might have something to do with having the wrong version of neogeo.zip for your version of MAME.
