If I had to guess, Belakor is probably the being who sabotaged the polar gates, granting Chaos access to the Mortal world for the first time.
This would have been the deed he performed to earn the favor of the Chaos Gods in the first place, which suggests that he may have even been one of the Old Ones himself.

I’m not sure why but out of all the forces of chaos I like Belakor the most, he’s just kinda a loose cannon who still has armies of demons and cultists but isn’t with any one of the chaos gods

@@hxrd_christ from the little i gather from the khorne roster i assume the mono gods factions are gonna be the daemons of chaos with extra units
while warriors of chaos will be the mortals with some daemons so belakor will probably be Archeon but with daemons rather then mortals
Be’Lakor got more lore in AOS in one edition than he ever got in all Warhammer. They even rela book in the Broken Realms books in his perspective. I love how in AOS we are finally getting Daemins of Chaos perspective. Even the lesser daemons.

Do you think Belakor is the last Legendary Lord for Total Warhammer 3?
He may be a complete punching bag in both 40k and fantasy, but I'll be damned if he is not one of the coolest designed character in both.
I think my favorite bit of Be’lakor lore is the fact that he has canonically lost a fight to *Tiktaqto*
Now, I love the lizards, but man even Tiktaqto could kick Tiktaqto’s ass. I just find the fact that he beat Be’lakor hilarious.

Be’Lakor is the wild card of the forces of Chaos: fighting for his own, inscrutable ends outside of the most chosen of the Gods of Chaos. When he becomes the Master of Shadows in Mordheim is another really cool tale of Be’Lakor influencing the events of the Warhammer World.
It is cool - unfortunately for him he gets stuck there as the warpstone is what let him manifest. He couldn’t hold his connection to the mortal world outside of Mordheim. And the chaos gods laughed again. Poor guy.
I hope he leads a rebel faction of chaos warriors in warhammer 3

With the Beefmen update, now every faction in Warhammer 2 and the upcoming Warhammer 3 can defeat Archaon the Everbeggar. This dude really needs an immediate rework.
@@ozgurbayram379 it's not so much Archaeon but how the Chaos invasion spawns no matter how many armies it's to bottled up, last couple of Empire play throughs I've done he didn't even reach Praag, 4 armies with lightning strike and a healthy supply of witch hunters and it doesn't matter how many there are, they are so bunched up you can pick them apart at the choke poibts

I appreciate your attempt at making Bel'akor relevant in Warhammer 40.000 given how much GW has been incapable to give him any significant action in that universe. Besides failing at destroying the Phalanx when a literal Deus Ex Machina dumped him of the ship.
Good video though. A bit sad there wasn't anything on his action in Broken Realm given that's the highest he ever went as an antagonist.

It basically took him a new model to do something relevant. For one the most infamous and terrible of Daemon Princes in both universe, the only event he got present are :
The Charadon War, with him being present for...whatever reason, we'll see when the book is out.
And the Thirdteenth Black Crusade, in which he basically fails from A to Z to take an under-secured Phalanx because the Legion of the Damned appeared out of nowhere to save the day.
My main problem with Bel'akor in 40k is that he's basically an imported character from AoS, like most daemons. But where other characters, like Skarbrand or Kairos Fateweaver are given enough screentime in both universes to be relevant, Bel'akor is ...there, but does nothing.
He wasn't there for the Horus Heresy, has no particular action in any of the 12th Black Crusade, and even if he's suppose to "help" or "manipulate Abaddon in the shadows...there is nothing illustrating that. He was imported from Fantasy to 40k, but wasn't given the proper place to appear as...anything relevant in 40k.

Be'lakor is a newcomer in 40K but he is off to a nice start. He has a solid starting base and is proceeding forward. That's better than most named characters both old and new who have barely two lines of text between them.
In WHFB he is the MVP bad guy and in AoS his involvement in Broken Realms was arguably the most impactful.

These guys rarely appear. I can count on one three-fingered hand how many times these guys appeared over this decade. Be'lakor has more screentime than them and relevance.
You should have mentioned Doombreed, N'kari, or the Changeling.

And I am not complaining on Bel'akor getting new lore, far from it.
What I meant is that for all the supposed "importance" he had has THE Daemon Prince of Chaos Undivided in 40k...well, let's just say it took some times for him to start a narrative in that universe. He'q technically been around since his former model's release during the...5-6th Edition of 40k, I think ?
So yeah, it's good to see him again. But it's long overdue that he should be doing stuff as important as characters like Typhus, Ahriman or even Abby.
Smart to release this video now.
Get views now, and when he eventually gets revealed as the ninth legendary lord, get another surge of viewers again.
This makes me hope that all the dark gods get a daemon prince FLC, i'm, genuinely surprised we didn't get daemon princes on launch
Perhaps there will be greater known daemon princes as legendary lords and lesser daemon princes as lords that lead their own stacks around the map .

What are the pros and cons of serving chaos undivided. First thing comes to mind is that you technically are independent you don’t have to serve any of the chaos gods and they essentially have to compete for your favor and attention
The downside is that it is much more difficult to gain favour with any of the Chaos Gods, which is why very few Daemon Princes are actually of Chaos Undivided.
I don't know why I never subscribed to this channel. I love your warhammer lore videos. It would be great to see you make more videos on the lesser known races of the warhammer world!

A common trope I notice in Warhammer is that the first is usually the greatest.
First Emperor Sigmar Heldenhammer, first royarch Giles Le Breton, first Phoenix king Aenarion the Defender, the Dwarf ancestor gods, Nagash was the first necromancer, and as mentioned here, Be’lakor was the first Daemon Prince.
Interestingly that makes a lot of sense. To Unite a Number of Tribes, Kingdoms, Kingdoms takes a very strong and capable leader. Or in Be'lakor's case to trick all chaos gods into giving you power it takes a cunning and ruthless person, and since the gods learned from this mistake they never gave that much power again.
Some of the greatest rulers in History were also "firsts". Charlemagne took over half of a devided realm and used strength, cunning and ruthlessnes to reunite it, and take over the rest of central europe.
Alfred the Great ruled the last of the saxon kingdoms in england and reconquered / United the remains of the saxon kingdoms (his son finished the job later).

Hey guys, what happened to the embedded subtitles being featured in the videos? I miss them.
He addresses that in the last video. He changed it because it was tedious work to do because it needed to be timed correctly and he didn't know if people really used it.
English is not my first language but I didn't noticed it so I think it's fine. And if it helps him making videos faster I don't mind him not putting subtitles in.

A belakor campain would be interesting in tw wh3. Where you have to deceive the chaosgods and hunt their champions for power or Something along that Lines. It pobably wouldnt be lore accurate but still make an extremly fun faction mechanic

All his good lore is in AOS now, and by a lot, Broken Realms Be’Lakor in AOS has done more for Be’Lakor than fantasy and 40k has ever done in 20+ years. Not only that but AOS has characterized Chaos Daemons instead or portraying them as abstract.

I think the scariest thing about Be'lakor is that, even though he always failed, his schemes almost always had the potential to actually succeed if nobody stepped up to stop him.
I feel like it gets lost in the memes about him being a cartoon villain that Be'lakor repeatedly came *this close* to actually becoming a Chaos God.

I know Belakor is in both Universes, like most if not all Chaos entities, but is the same character in both universes or two representations of the same stuff?
Probably the same character, the way I see it the chaos dimension bridges into various universes two of them being 40k and fantasy
