According to the band members, Judas Priest recorded their album 'British Steel' in 1980 at Ringo Starr's house in England w/ a studio, which once belonged to John Lennon... Apparently late one night, Glenn Tipton was banging out a riff on guitar while Rob Halford was trying to sleep upstairs in the house ... The next morning, Rob came downstairs... sleep-deprived and cranky, and he told Glenn, "I've got a title for that one - 'Living after midnight'..." It became the first single and music video from 'British Steel' and a party anthem across the US, the UK, Europe and Japan... 'Breaking the law' became the next big single and the album became Judas Priest's first gold record... the song 'United' was also a single in the UK. More tracks from the album became staples of Judas Priest concerts - "Metal Gods" ... "Grinder" ... 'Rapid fire'... 🤘🤘And I believe u ladies did 'Steeler'... the album's closing track. Judas Priest tried to 'Americanize' their sound on their next album 'Point of entry' in 1981... but singles like - "Don't go"... "Hot rockin' " ... 'Heading out to the highway'... did not have the same impact. There were some standout songs on that record - 'Solar angels' ... 'Desert plains'... 🤘🤘 So, Judas Priest went back to formula - British heavy metal 🤘🤘 and their 1982 album 'Screaming for vengeance'... made them kings of the world for a while... The album sold platinum (now 2x platinum) in the US and they were headlining arenas on tour w/ 2 major singles - "You've got another thing coming"... and "The Hellion/ Electric Eye"... and other standout songs: "Riding on the wind" ... "Devil's child" ... 'Bloodstone' ... 'Screaming for vengeance'... 'Fever'... 🔥🔥
Motorhead is another metal band that SHOULD be in the Hall . At 70 yrs old, Rob Halford can still sing like he did 50 years ago Their debut album was released in 1974 > Dreamer Deceiver Live at BBC
I always like when you beautiful ladies where your band shirts Kathy with her guns and roses and Donna with her Beatles shirts yes we feel bad for Glenn but at least he was there he deserves to be there. And you didn't mention where lulu was and we found out she's slower than a turtle today that made my day lol Wintersun Alex ❄️❤️
Another great episode ladies! A legend left us today, Kris Kristofferson. 'Stranger' really shows who he was as an artist in 1975. Heartfelt vocals and a soothing melody make this song special.
The British Steel album from 1980 is still my favourite after all these decades. Favourite track from this is Metal God's. Very fitting in today's world. Prophetic even.
One of the best if not their best concerts was their "Fuel for Life" Tour. Pick any song off that video and you will truly see priest at their prime. My favorite song off that concert was "Some Heads are Gonna Roll! You need to react to that one.
Poor old Glen, he was brilliant, he came on and did a few numbers with them a couple of months ago when I saw them live in London he can still rock that guitar though!!
always love your reactions ladies i remem, ber a question of a reporter in an intervieuw with Rob and Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead both from the Uk and great friends he asked Rob how they came up with the bandname ROB answered it was because of Lemmy lemmy took over and said Rob asked me if i knew a great bandname for his his band and i answered Jesus Christ and Rob misunderstood he thought i said Judas Priest
This is a long one. They talk about the two guitar players, Rob, and the drummer. The bass guitar player Ian Hall even today is still with the band. The had a least 4 drummers since the 70's, Rob left the band for 2 albums, KK went solo for awhile. Thru it all Ian has been with them the whole time. Please give him some love the next time you listen to them, please.
Some of the people in this show rockin out to Judas Priest wasnt even born when this song came out in 1980 🤘 Imagine, these guys have played together more or less since 1973! Impressing.
@@robertserafin-uc3qn Wrong, April 11 1980 was Brittish Steel released, and Living After Midnight was the 6th song on that album. In 1969, as you said, Judas Priest wasnt even formed yet.
This song, like breaking the law or another thing coming, I could go the rest of my life without ever hearing again, and would be ok/fine with that. lol :)

@KathyLuluandDonna Bummer. Be careful ladies. TH-cam has been on a tear lately. And don't show support for one political leaning either because they're going after that too.
Just saw them October 24th 2024 and they were phenomenal!! It was my first time seeing them and they ROCKED Austin!! Loved every minute of it!!
