"Blood Red Skye's". from around the same time is fantastic. They got older. but just as good.

Donna this one is for you-I went to a Priest show in 1987. They did a song called Desert Plains. In the middle there was a breakdown I dont want to give away too much but the singer goes off like youve never heard before (or since) when I tied to tell people about it over the years it was hard to justfy how intensely awesome that was. Anyway last week I came across a video on youtube that was damn near the same performance. Desert Plains is a classic, and the band brought it out when I saw them in October. The concert was in the Coachella Vally (the Mojave Desert) so it was appropriate they b played it...
Such a deep dive with the Priest. Not one I ever expected to see a reaction too.
Its amazing watching how Donna fallin' love with JP ( specially Rob (: ) and recognized almost all of them. ♥
Seminole Hard Rock is in Hollywood, FL. They have built a hotel there that is shaped like a guitar. If that's where this was filmed I was at that show. I recall they played the entire British Steel album and they did record that show and released a cd and dvd of it.
I knew when they said Seminole, that it had to be Florida.
My mum was very patient with me. We only had one record player in the house, in the main room, which was the shared living space; and I played _British_ _Steel_ over and over, especially just after my dad died in '82 (I preferred it to the following album, which I also had). She hated the music, but never made a fuss. Thanks mum.

One of my fave Judas Priest songs.
'Steeler' was one of Judas Priest's obscure tracks... closing song on their 1980 album 'British Steel' (which had their big hits, 'Breaking the law'... 'Living after midnight' ... 'United') ... Judas Priest was a huge influence on Metallica - their song 'The Four Horsemen' in 1983 had a similar riff and delivery.
Judas Priest were definitely the heavy metal band that cranked up the intensity and speed in the genre... Previous bands were slower, and both Black Sabbath and Deep Purple did crank out some fast numbers... But we can thank Judas Priest (and Motorhead) for introducing double-bass drumming to rock and metal and giving a more vicious delivery and black leather image.
Scott Travis (drums) joined Judas Priest in 1990 since the 'Painkiller' album.
Rob Halford (lead vocals) shaved his head in 1990... he claimed that he noticed he was balding in his 40's and wanted a new look as a result. He grew a goatee around 1996(?) after he left Judas Priest in 1992 and after his band Fight broke up in 1995... Rob's next band became the industrial rock band 2wo, which released 1 album 'Voyeurs' in 1998 before they broke up... In 2000, he formed the band Halford and returned to his classic heavy metal roots, releasing 2 studio albums ('Resurrection' and 'Crucible') before he reunited w/ Judas Priest in 2004.
Glenn Tipton was the guitarist in the red pants - he retired from touring in 2018 because of an affliction w/ Parkinson's disease. However, he is still in charge of the band in the studio... They hired their producer Andy Sneap to play concerts w/ Judas Priest since 2018.
K.K. Downing was the blond guitarist - he quit Judas Priest in 2010 (just after this tour) after he had helped found the band since 1971... He currently has his own band - K'K's Priest... w/ former Priest vocalist Tim 'Ripper' Owens... K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton formed the backbone of Priest since 1974 but disagreements split the songwriting duo apart.
Ian Hill (bass) is the low-key Priest member who stands in 1 spot onstage and kicks a++... He helped found Judas Priest in Birmingham, England
Unfortunately Glenn Tipton, guy with Red Leather pants was Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2008. I think this concert was around then.
He plays with the band today, but only a few songs
@tmznt .. Tipton still plays .. watch the videos from the new album. But not sure i see him on alive performance this year.

I heard them live yesterday here in Norway at "tons of rock". What a performance. His voice was just amazing and the band is just fantastic. His voice is better now than it was 15 years ago.

Rob, Ian and Glenn are now over 70 years old
Scott Travis has been their drummer for quite some time but Dave Holland was there probably as long as Scott Travis... But Judas Priest over the years have changed drummers Scott Travis has been with him for quite some time and still is.
Serious High School age nostalgia for me here.

Hi been following you guys for a while , ive just discovered the best guitarists ive ever seen , i thought Jeff Healey was good as he is blind , but this guy is on another planet he is a soloist . May i recommend Soothsayer emotional version LIVE 9-28-2012 at a Goth event . He is a bit scary at first due to anxiety and mental health issues i think he has . I look forward to you guys reacting to this amazing guy

Anyway they are great and have still got it.
I prefer my soft metal songs though like pour some sugar on me and nothing but a good time and twisted sister, also tnt.
Kathy had some great moments holding her tounge and Kathy and Lulu had a few great eye rolls there, lol. Lulu also knows how to make a whole lot of words into kind of one word or a sentence. Great job ladies.!

Became a fan once I heard Livin After Midnight in early 80s. Been seeing as much as possible since then. Didn't care for the albums without Rob on vocals though. About as bad as the albums without Bruce Dickinson on vocals for Iron Maiden... Great reaction ladies! Keep em' coming!!! 👏🤟🍻

Donna, as such a big Judas Priest fan, you just gotta learn the singer's name and stop calling him "the singer". LOL!! ROB. HALFORD. It's a testament to Dolly Parton's open-mindedness to be friends with Rob, who's music couldn't be more different from hers and also the fact that he's openly gay. And yes, Rob's appearance has changed over the years, he currently looks like a bald Santa! He's still got it though! try this one!

Nothing for nothing, Singer Rob Halford is in his 70's . Still sang his ass off. Unfortunately Glen Tipton was replaced & drummer is not original. Kk Downing was there but left band too Ps Seminole Indian tribe were in Florida.
