I believe that genuine passion will make sure your love for what you do never dies...because of finances, it may not ever end up on a huge scale..
But at least you are in theatre, and doing your thing....all the very best

What I appreciate about this video is that they bring up a different and more colorful way of viewing broadway

The talent and aspersions the people have to go and do things like this is really interesting, having the originality to go and do this your self and at hime or where ever they want to do it is really cool and impressive.

I just want to share my sad story to you. I hope you have time in reading this.
I am Angelo, artistic director of Bahay ng Sining (House of Arts) Theatre in a small province here in the Philippines, and I would like to share my story and somehow get ideas from you. I am now celebrating my decade in this industry. My founded group is now on its 5th year in doing theatrical productions. Our first 3 years was done in my college school, we are school based theatre org before, but then I graduated college, me and my other members decided to continue our passion even though we will be having our own jobs. That's why we continue it and built it into an "INDEPENDENT THEATRE ORG". One of our goals in our group is to have scholarships in our members who were in College and Senior High School. All of the proceeds of our stageplays will be on our scholarship programs. Living in a simple province that theatre arts is not that important (because most of them are fond of watching movies and series), we are experiencing so much struggle in convincing the community to watch us. Actually, we converted my own house into a theatre house. Imagine that our living room is occupied by the audiences and our kitchen is our stage. My crew is really creative for this matter (that's why I love them so much). Approximately, our space for the audience can filled 30 persons. But since we are living in this place that only few can appreciate our works most of the time our audiences is just11, 9, or 7 persons. There are times that the fact that we just want to continue our passion and love for this art, even we only have TWO (2) AUDIENCES, we still keep the show going. THAT'S HOW WE LOVE THEATRE ARTS! If you are asking me how was the marketing and advertising going. IT'S REALLY POOR. We are just an independent group, so no one is helping us for the budget for our marketing and advertising, but we are doing our best to advertise our play in different social media accounts (THANKS TO FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM!!!!). My love for the theatre arts is really huge. I dream one day that I can make a big theatre industry here in my province (how pathetic).
That's my story. God bless to everyone!
    ART+HEART!
    Love,
    Angelo

It’s super inspiring that your passion for theatre shines through unfortunate circumstances! I hope that one day you achieve all your goals and dreams in theatre.
