Look forward to this. I think I've seen somewhere my XK left the factory in 09/02, was the 2003 model, registered in 03/03.
Jules, that demonstrates the point I was trying to make, thank you. I’m releasing the videos, one model year at a time, one per day. So it’s going to be a little bit of a wait before we get to 2003. 4.2L AJ34 very nice and should worth the wait. Much appreciate your comment, thanks Damian👍

Great idea, thanks in advance for the hard work. This is going to be particularly interesting to me ( as a newish owner) my 2000 XK8 I believe is one of the few which has the new A prefix build number which still has the Nikasil liners, if I’m reading my engine numbers right.
Brian, You maybe right. MY2000 was the introduction of steel liners but it wasn’t a clean cut off and start date. The first steel lined bores are engine number 0008181043 and above. The date of manufacture was 18th August 2000. So some early MY2000 cars had the old Nikasil coatings. Thanks for the comment Damian.

Great idea, will be interesting to see what comes out of it. I also recieved emails for V30 & 31 but neither will play, thought you would want to know.
Terry, have all the video's already to go. Had a change of thought after the initial release and now will be releasing 1 per day over the next week or so. Gives me some time to update some of the videos as new information comes in. Thanks for the comment and feedback, Damian

Well done for explaining the vagaries of production dates etc etc . According to the plastics mine is a late '97.
Would you by any chance have stats for the number of sports versions produced ? Like John Dee I also have a sports version, but, with chrome exhaust finishers ??
My short VIN is 020964.
Couple of comments, not sure if StIRling Moss had anything to do with currency, &, # the jaguarheritage link did not work.

Alan, 02094 is 1998 model year. No idea how many where sports versions something else to find out. The sport or classic version is the interior trim option only. Sport is surprisingly rare especially with half leather and cloth inserts. The chrome exhaust finishers are standard its just the size the varies. PS, what can one do with a "bleeding mirror", can they be repaired or is it a complete replacement ? Thanks
Alan, reference mirror, some people have had them repaired or purchased new/old mirrors which are still intact. Dont know where you can get them repaired, in my case I have bought an new/old mirror. Thanks for the comment regards Damian
