It's really really awesome to hear someone like Adam give props to the many fans and cosplayers that really do amazing things. Nice to see that he really loves what he does and loves meeting all the fans.

I like that Adam is giving context to these photos. Because I saw Adam post a lot of these photos on Instagram but without context behind the photo.
My Sleestack story. Lived in San Diego many moons ago and was dragged by a friend to a party at someone’s loft apartment downtown. The host was a very sweet older gentleman named Gene, whom I’d never met before but his place was filled with old, original movie posters and props and at one point I notice an Oscar on his mantle. This especially caught my eye and I got closer to read that it was awarded to our host, Gene Warren, for best art direction 1960, The Time Machine. This was pre-Wikipedia and most internet so I could only assume this was real.
I asked Mr.Warren about it and he said yes, that was him, it was real and I managed to engage him in movie conversation to learn that (I’ll keep it short) he had directed, produced, filmed, written, hundreds of of film projects, commercials (the tiny Chuckwagon in the Alpo (IIRC) dog food commercials was him). He had also been writer/director/designer/producer/prop builder for Syd and Marty Krofft productions throughout the 70’s including Land of the Lost. What wonderful stories he had. He passed away a while back as did his son more recently (according to Wiki) who followed in Gene’s footsteps with his own storied Hollywood career.

Honestly, this is the first time I have commented but I love your love for other people and their own creations, you like me and appreciate them all and their spin on it and their originality, I am a fabricator and in the process of getting my workshop up and running but I just love how you can turn nothing into something.

I did my first con this year and my first cosplay this year. I made the biker scout from the Mandalorian. A bit dirty and disheveled but I love it! Fan Expo Boston was my first, I'll be at Granite State tomorrow. This is so much fun, the community is awesome and being part of the 501st and raising money and all that is great too! Thanks for all you do Adam! Happy Anniversary!

Hearing Adam say “A furry, god these are great,” and the expression and reaction he made is so amazing and validating that he so easily accepts such a memed and hated community, it feels awesome to see how he reacted to that persons sona and outfit
2021 RSC was my first con, ever. I saw Adam from like 100 yards away at his autograph booth.
Wonderful video Adam. For anybody that’s curious about Adam’s appearance in the “You’re only human” music video, he played a drowning redhead with glasses that is rescued by a lifeguard.
He is in most of it, not just that scene.
I keep keying in on the ‘patina’ the work bench has acquired where Adam constantly rests his arms during these pieces to camera! 😆
I love them using the tape and box it came in. Live outside the box but use it.

Write each of the creators' names on individual index cards and hold them up in the photo when you take the shot. Easy peasy.
Better yet, have the creators display a business card with their creations. Most that do a lot and travel to cons have business cards with that info on it. Just ask if they have one, easier than carrying index cards and markers.
@@mopar_dude9227 a business card wont read in-frame from that distance. I do comicons all the time. I carry an arsenal of supplies including sharpies and index cards.
I finally watched Robin William's "One Hour Photo" and I jumped up and down when I recognized the Swiss Army Knife motorized display!!!

Portland's TSA must have more fun than most; I was flying out of PDX on my way to the Maryland Renaissance Faire. I had to check in an oversized, very long case with a special gate agent. They asked what was inside and I explained it was my Wizard's Staff. "I've never checked in a Wizard's Staff before" they said. "Then today would be your lucky day" I replied.
I've never been to a con and this video makes me regret it and want to right that wrong! It just looks like joy!

Not sure that was a Mandalorian. From the photo it looks like a Scarif Trooper from Rogue One. The sandy-beige color is the giveaway. VERY cool costume. The weathering is *chef's kiss*.
Regarding the Sleestack, my rpg group always have this running joke of “A sleestack! Quick, walk briskly to get away!”

I understand the feeling of not knowing how stage-craft any longer. I was in the middle of directing a production at my community theatre when the shut down came. Just opened that same production the 17th of September. Felt like a fish out of water.
