Yes it does... My guess is that we had a few folks that just loved the adventure and then we probably had a few that were wondering.... "What did Elgin get us in to?" :-) Thanks for watching/commenting and glad your back. :-)
The weather sure does change fast in the mountains. We can always count on rain. Thanks for checking out our fan trip. I see you have a new video out! Welcome back to TH-cam!!! I hope your brother is up and driving the trails soon.
We had a blast, too! You and Lorie are great fun! We enjoyed her grandson as well. Thanks for joining us for the ride. Someday, we will make it to your side of the state and join YOU for the ride! Promise.
Had this on in the background of my roadtrip to MT today! Love the music and love how you introduce fans and new friends in the video so cool! Great job!!
Glad you like the music. :-) We had some great fans on this trip and many became wonderful friends. Enjoy your trip to MT! I'm sure Melissa will be replying to you when she has a sec... She is the most busy person I know! - Elgin
@@wyomingjeepers Thanks Elgin! I totally know what you mean, sometimes people that you meet on the road or with meetups like you had is the best way to meet people and become great friends! I'll have to talk to Melissa about where you get the great tunes I could see Oyster Traveller with similar music too!
@@melissacook In progress Melissa and yes no easy feet in the editing room! I try to remind myself that if it's fun in the editing room it will most likely be an awesome video, keep up the great work!! 🤘😁
Looks like a great time guys, question, are you guys doing this for 2024, if so please let me know, my wife and I would love to join you guys. Thank you and God bless 🙏
We are planning a trip for 2024. We haven't decided exactly where but plan to get an announcement out soon. Thank you for your interest in joining; we'd love to have you join us for the ride. Thanks for watching and leaving us a comment.
Fabulous views from Dry Head Vista. You covered some ground I felt familiar with from the late 80's, had two trips for a week camping at Big Ice Cave whilst doing volunteer work for the NFS. Also spent a week up at the Bainbridge Cabin but don't recall which mountain it is on, they were really good times!
That's great! Given your past travels, I bet we have a few more videos that will take you down memory lane. Thanks for leaving us a comment. We appreciate it.
@@wyomingjeepers Southwest, north of Yellowstone a bit. Last year we discussed your coming up for a day trip to an old mine, but floods blew the bridge out in the backcountry...no scheduled rebuild at this time. 🫤 I have Elgin's email, however, and will send updates as I have them.
I do have your emails too... I just didn't put it together that your TH-cam name and your email name are different. Too bad about the bridge. Sometimes, you have to think the Forest Service is not too sad about roads closing down. At least here in this area, it seams that way.
We hope to come up and take that drive with you when they rebuild the bridge. Please let us know when the canyon drive is accessible again. Thanks for watching and we hope you can make the next fan trip. Elgin and I were talking about where to go this morning. Thanks for watching!
I'm heading to WY the first half of June. Is that too early? Will the high mountain passes still be closed? What's the best way to get info on closures?
The first of June is fine in the mountains for the lower roads. The higher ones like the trips we took in Cooke City are the middle of June. Sunlight Basin is the middle of July. The Pryors (this video) is the middle of June. The best way to find out is go to the Forest Service and search for MVUM (Motor Vehicle Use Maps) for the area you are looking for. The GAIA Overland layer in GAIA GPS will tell you open dates as well. However, the best option is the Forrest Service MVUM. The book we are putting out shortly of all of our trails we put on TH-cam will have open dates as well.
June is typically safe for exploring but you never know. It is May 24 and the mountains just had more snow this week. Check the state road conditions for details on the main roads. Will you be in our area?
@@melissacook I'm not sure where all we will end up. We usually don't do much planning. Normally we just explore mountain backroads until we find an epic spot and then camp there and repeat the next day. Part of the excitement is not knowing where you're going to spend the night until your head hits the pillow.
@@explorationoverdrive9137 That sounds like the life. I have learned to plan a little in advance if I need a hotel room because we have had to drive half the night or more if we haven't but with a tent, that's not a problem - unless it rains. 🙂
No we haven't. Dan has not either. However, I do know it is an issue with JKs. There are options to take care of this. Let me know if you are interested.
One thinks of Wyoming as being nothing more than windy high desert and bad lands ... watching your videos has debunked that theory and is rapidly propelling Wyoming to the top of my list to explore!
I'm so glad we have provided you a better view of Wyoming through our eyes. We have a fan trip on July 13, 2024 (first mention of a date). Maybe you will find your way to our neck of the woods. Thank you so much for your fabulous comment that made us smile.
Your welcome, we'll be waiting for your next event.
We hope to get an announcement of the Wyoming Jeepers Fan Trip 2024 soon. We have to agree on the location first. 🙂

Loved the ending :)
That was pretty crazy! We didn't realize the extent of the flooding. Glad we didn't have to return! :-)
It was a little hairy there at the end. Haha - Thanks for watching!
We were just up on Big Pryor 12/23/23. Can't wait to go out again maybe in the next couple weeks!
Yep... Can't wait till summer!

We haven't that I know of but I've seen people have problems who didn't have a sway bar. That sure is a nice feature. Thanks for commenting.

Wyoming is beautiful that is for sure. There are some desolate areas too. The right badlands are pretty nice too... At least for us. :-)
