    Best part of this planet is HK and Jolee's banter about the students left outside to die.
    Jolee: "Why not shoot them where they stand? It would at least be more direct."
    HK: "That’s what I would do."
    Jolee: "Of course that’s what you would do."

      The entire banter about Jolee and it's role as slave is priceless "the master likes tombs too, don't you master?" hshahhaa I was like "WTF? Bioware" every time he talked, "at least the master doesn't beat me anymore" hahahaha I did it even as a light side MC, my Revan was always "I'm so, so sorry old man" every time Jolee spoke, good times.

    These sith sound a lot like Spartan training. Young boys were expected to steal to supplement the deliberate food shortage to learn how to survive behind enemy lines. They would only be punished if they were caught stealing because they failed and the weakness needed to be rooted out.

    • @danielcharland1374

      Thanks. I'm always interested in the historical inspiration for stories like Star Wars. You should have seen me when I was studying people like Napoleon and Hitler as a kid. I was like "Hey, that's a tactic Palpatine used to gain power!" every other page. lol

    • @samtownend6744
      @samtownend6744 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately there is not much evidence for the Spartan training and lifestyle beyond what other Greeks and later Romans believed about them, which the Spartans themselves probably propagated to make themselves sound like more intimidating and impressive warriors. Under the Romans they ran a sort of tourist resort where young Roman men could get an "authentic Spartan experience", which is where a lot of the ideas about Spartan toughness were reinforced in later people's minds. Although don't get me wrong, they were still a badass and weird society who were actually some of the best fighters in Greece, although they usually didn't know what to do once they'd won so they weren't really able to build an empire and declined as the other Greek cultures overtook them in economy and science

    Korriban is one of my favourite planets in Star Wars. There is so much lore surrounding it in Legends, and the new canon will certainly also develop its stories over time. I really hope that the name Moraband is never mentioned again though

    • @DenDhur
      @DenDhur 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ImperialistOpinions I hope Moreband is just a current name on the planet. Since history is written by the victor, the Jedi probably changed the name and erased all information about Korriban.

    • @JanPeverell
      @JanPeverell 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Shinjou Kinkai That is a good possibility. Even in Legends, Korriban was known as Pesagam while it was controlled by Xim the Despot and the name changed back later on. The problem is just that Palpatine himself uses Moraband instead of Korriban

      You will not stop palpatine. Vader will become more powerful than both Yoda and sidious. 😂😂😂. Which is true by the way I do believe that Anakin as Vader still could become a lot more powerful than palpatine than dark sidious if he was able to become a lot angrier as in the comics the angry he got the more powerful he would become doing how strong his emotional state was. One of his greatest feast was definitely taking down the Star destroyer and pure rage as part of his training I believe if I'm correct. Which is basically on Yoda level the but when it comes to combat specifically definitely Yoda and Mace windu would win well definitely May swindy because Mace windu specifically would actually use the dark side that Darth Vader would have against him as Mace windu was using the dark side against dark sidious and easily won. Which is definitely one of my favorite lightsaber fights 😎😎😎

    And even though Kylo Ren is not a Sith, his "sacrifice" was his own father.
    I'm just happy that it was shown in detail, compared to every other example.
    And of course there was the "Master V Apprentice" fight at the end of Sith training which determines the lives of (or end of) both Sith from that point on.

    I was looking up Sith canon on Wookiepeedia, and it said the Sith were created by a Rogue Jedi during "the hundred-year darkness". Did this jedi find the the remains of the Sith empire on Moroband, and just continued to pass on their teachings? Or did he create it from his own knowledge? I'd hate for the Sith pureblood species to no longer be canon going forward.

    When I was read Darth Bane Path of Destruction. When Revan created his holocron? Before he lost his memory or after the events with the Star Forge? Cause when I played the sequel to this game there was a big gap that was uncountable between the two games on what happen with Revan and the Sith order. Cause it sounded like he went back to the darkside and was teaching at the academy until he just up and left and disappeared. This is before the very new and recent Old Republic game

    • @theempiredidnothingwrong3227
      @theempiredidnothingwrong3227 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zach Hamell He created it before the first game.

    • @captainwilhelm9657
      @captainwilhelm9657 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Revan didn't go back to the dark side after he lost his memories instead he returned to light and was a jedi until he disappeared. In KOTOR II if you tell Atton that Revan returned to the dark side after he lost his memory at the start of the game than at the sith academy you will find a holocron made by a dark side bastilla that says that Revan was in charge of the sith before he disappeared into the unknown regions so you might have been thinking about that.

    • @rayden120
      @rayden120 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Captainwilhelm96 But that part also made no sense cause I remember we saved her from the darkside and turn back light and when she was talking about Revan she made it sound like they were both dark now and reopened or started a new Sith order under Revan until he disappeared. That why the second was so confusing on how everything took place it made the ending of the first game to make no sense.

    • @rayden120
      @rayden120 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Paul Harrison Ah I see. But I got to admit it sounded like when he was talking to Bane that it was made after. Which makes more sense for him to come up with the idea of the rule of two.

    • @captainwilhelm9657
      @captainwilhelm9657 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      At the start of KOTOR II when you first meet Atton and he is telling you about what happened after the Mandalorian Wars, he says that Revan returned to the light side after he lost his memories. You can tell Atton that he is right or you can correct him and say that Revan went back to the dark side.The purpose of this dialogue is to establish whether you went light side or dark side in the previous game (importing saves from another game wasn't a thing back then) and things will change accordingly. For example if you established that Revan went light side that holocron in the sith academy will be broken and unplayable. Revan returning to the light is what officially happened in the legends universe so when a legends book or comic references KOTOR I it will say that revan went back to the light side.

He should be fearing for his life at the idea that a meer student could overthrow two of his superiors. Also, just wanted to say that Uther's master Jorak Uln is awesome. Man, if you thought the old Jedi training was bad, just look at the Sith. People say a ton of Sith is stronger than 2, but with no real master to hone the strength of an apprentice, the Sith are weak, arrogant fools who are just trained to die for the true Sith lords (Revan and Malak..or just Malak right now).

    Here a question for the weekly q&a: It is fair when people saw "legends is better" even tho we are only two years into the new canon?
    My answer is yes it's absolutely unfair. The new canon is adding things and it will add up. It not like Lucasfilm will reveal a book that tells us everything no it going to take time. Eventually any "legends had more" or "we know jack in canon" we be invaded. Hopefully people will actually at least try to read the new canon instead of just assuming. From a certain point of view.

    • @JanPeverell
      @JanPeverell 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I absolutely agree with you. Look back at Legends: the first ever EU novel was Splinter of the Mind's Eye in 1978. That started it. But it took until 1991's Heir to the Empire that the EU got really going. The canon is already better after three years than Legends was after thirteen. A huge portion of the complains over the new canon are bad excuses for the impatience of readers.

    I would be a very powerful sith. High force sensitivey, coming from a race with great natural abilities, advanced training and conditioning, high intensity emotions combined. And I would kill my master, recruit high potential sister princesses implant and inhibitor chip and give them high intensity programming to ensure that there are completely 100% loyal to me I will be trained three apprentices they would all have potentially powerful emotions high for sensitivity I will give them advanced sith training and I would make sure that they have as much power as possible then I would also do the same thing that dark sidious did during the clone wars but instead I would also double the size of my armies and militia then I will make sure that I used to combine powers of all four sith Lords within the order of four to manipulate and control and they can Skywalker to the dark side I'll combined Force powers to alter the chemicals in his brain would make him easily fall under temptation and adding that to the fact that when he be asleep he be completely vulnerable and subjected to suggestion and it would be a very easy thing and now there would be five sith Lords that would all be very powerful and I would use my very massive army and Ally forces to take over the Galaxy within the matter of hours and then the Jedi even through twice as many would easily be all killed and combine that with five sith Lords the separatists trade federation and dozens of allied species that are all violent and aggressive and I would have at least triple the capability manpower and resources and I would rule for 100,000 years.

      @jeanlukvolker6647 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I definitely will use whatever talent that it would have and that would make sure that they would double up their training to make sure they would become much more powerful than they originally would have they definitely would be capable of powers they normally wouldn't be if they were Jedi knights. If I were to coup a Jedi order myself I would recruit everybody with even marginal forcesivity and higher and I would look at least in the couple different galaxies for Force potentials everywhere from two times higher than the average person all the way to the eight times which is a midi playing count of 20,000 and higher which was higher than Yoda. Sorry about that typo. 😂
