21:55 In many martial arts, the concept of slowing down your breathing, letting your instincts and intuition guide your actions without emotions that can burden the heart and mind is very prevalent. It's one of the main reasons why so many people in Asian cultures meditate during their training in martial arts. After that, they can meditate while going throughout their day, and their moves become much faster, their punches more intense. Take some positives in that Krillin, you are not the worst. I love this form, Goku is such a super badass and Jiren is just a badass. Great speech by Vegeta, Beerus telling Krillin to shut up and the epic fight. What an episode! Let's watch what happens next, next time shall we?
Whis's speech in this episode is criminally underrated and brilliantly written. Yes, a Vegeta speech will never not hit, but the narration of Goku adapting and overcoming his final barrier to MUI, mid fight, is a beautiful sequence.
It's like how super Saiyan god is the base form of super Saiyan blue. Ultra instinct sign is the base form and mastered is like it's super Saiyan form. But it's actually how the angel's like Whis has their silver hair. They are automatically in ultra instinct
My favorite episode of Dragon Ball Super. The story, action, music, animation, freakin’ Goku. Peak DBS. Goku’s first fight with Beerus as Super Saiyan 3 showed a slight hint, and over the series Whis has been leading them to this. Goku achieved it 🙌
What you're referring to is called OODA loops, which stands for Observe, Orient, Decide and Act. In combat, you'd want to overwhelm your opponent with OODA meaning you want their mind to work against them by causing them to think to the point of almost overthinking and making their reaction time ever so slightly slower. In an extreme case, think of it like sensory overload. At the same time by relaxing and relying on instinct, you lessen the OODA loops that you yourself are going through and your reaction is quicker. These can be ever so slightly but can be just enough to make the difference between victory and defeat.
This is where a lot of fans finally say Goku reaches Flash levels of speed. He moves so fast, all you see is his body vibrate and hundreds of punches happen. And yeah Ultra Instinct is kinda based on a real thing. It's a hyper focus state, and technically it can be applied to anything. Some say it's based on the brains response to stress, because there are two kinds of stress. Distress and Eustress. Distress, is the bad kind where something challenges you in a way that feels overwhelming and negative. But Eustress is when a challenge occurs but it feels, possible. It's difficult, but you have the ability to deal with it if you give it your all. That if I empty my mind and try my best, I push further and further than I ever could normally. I used to play Super Smash Bros Melee competitively and sometimes I still do, but I've had multiple times where an opponent is truly just beyond me. There are some players that literally insane, you have no idea how much better they are than you until you try to play them. And I've had some games playing against people, where sometimes, you just get in that zone. All that stuff you normally can't do, you can do. Everything you normally get hit by, you avoid it. And you're not even aware of it until the game is over and then you can't get back in that mindset.
I think it's AWESOME, man- that you incorporate fan made remix'd themes of the series and put them int tastefully, as you did with Vegeta's little speech to pump goku up mid way in the fight. Respect to you for helping promote someone's music.
Vegeta definitely pushed Goku into mastering UI . After that speech that's when he closed his eyes and started letting go of his thoughts. And it all started from Vegeta giving Goku what energy he had left.
No matter how many times I watch this episode I get goosebumps everytime, it was done perfectly from vegeta’s speech to the transformation couldn’t of been done any better
I really do appreciate how beerus told everyone to shut up and watch. He at this point was no longer concerned with the 7th's destruction, but instead win or lose he knew this would be a battle everyone needed to witness.
15:03 Yeah, this moment is WAY better in Japanese. I'm sure you must have seen that, too. But even as a person with NO knowledge of Japanese, I was kinda trying to memorize the Zenos' words in this scene, they sound SOOO cute in Japanese there... 🥹😅🥰
I'm always so shocked when i come back to TH-cam and see how far behind you guys are compared to the patreon. We're watching og dragon ball and already passed goku's first world martial arts tournament and about to start the RR army arc
That’s what it is an oozaru sound effect basically. The English dub never used it up until Ultra instinct point but the Japanese version used it in their versions a lot in dbz and Kai.
In Manga beerus hai ui (not mui) i don't why they nerfed beerus in the anime and also people were saying after this that goku surpassed beerus so no beerus is still in a different league
I just disagree with the "Mastered" designation, or MUI use here. Here Beerus says "The true power, complete in all it's magic, this is Autonomous Ultra Instinct". In the manga Whis says "He's perfected it, the true state of Ultra Instinct". Both in the anime and in the manga, the moment is described in a grandiose way, that leads to this MUI naming. Nobody claims Goku mastered Super Sayan when he first achieved it on Namek. He did so in the time chamber during the Android saga. Same reasoning should apply here. Doesn't make any sense to go from a sign state to a mastered state in one step. This should simply be known as Ultra Instinct. Makes much more sense, because there would be nothing more to improve if he'd mastered it, and at least in the manga, he certainly improved upon it.
I have been waiting for this episode from you guys since your DBZ reaction days. How far we've come. This is my favourite episode of DBS on par with the next one. Spoilers The best part is that Goku's version of Ultra instinct is basically the first step of the ladder vs The Angels who are always in the UI state and are much "sharper" than Goku. Also if you read the manga Beerus is still levels above UI Goku. Whis has told Goku that his MUI is infact imperfect as he uses it as a "transformation" rather than a technique which he should be in 24*7 like the angels. It's insane how deep this form could go but as it stands Goku cant touch Beerus even with this form.
I love when you looked at her when the Gods were standing up. When we first saw it we could feel it in our souls that this was a top tier moment in anime!
You mentioned calming down and being able to win after you did. Ive done the same, theres a lot of truth beyond the crazy of db style fights. I found doing techniques and counters hard to do until i switched off, almost defocused from the attack and moved in the way it felt natural to do, then tacking the 'technique' element into the end to turn a simple dodge into a counter. This was back in 2008 way before this aired ofc. When it did i was immediately getting flashbacks to that moment which makes this form go even harder for me.
Masterd Ultra Instinct is awesome but like they said it’s not a level that can be easily reached so that means his body will be very damaged and in the Japanese the ape row is better too hear
so Dragon Ball has had multiple instances where Goku (and sometimes Gohan) has had a beast roar alongside their own voices. One instance is Goku SSJ4's Super Dragon Fist. Occasionally it's so powerful that as he's saying it you can hear a dragon roaring very subtly in the background. Usually though the animal roaring is the Ozaru because it accompanies a transformation. But the first time I myself noticed it was when Goku headbutted King Piccolo and shot through him. They show the Ape as a light/energy silhouette as Goku is launched up at King Piccolo.
When they were falling while staring each other while ready for their landing and when Goku closed his eyes that was fire. Whis Beerus and Vegetas commentary was great. In the manga Roshi shows similar movements to mui when he fights Jiren and it inspires Goku to reflect on the teachings of every master he's had and then he unlocks it. This episode to me is better than the next one
21:30 ur talking about flow state :) It’s really a difficult thing to accomplish and only the top level fighters/competitors can “achieve” it. For anyone confused it’s basically just like ultra instinct where you stop thinking about what ur going to do next and your body just acts on its own as a result of years of practice in the sport.
Belmod: “Oh come on! Are you suggesting that he can master Ultra Instinct in the time that he has left?! Please, you’re a fool! That’s impossible!” Vegeta: “You see Belmod, you’re not dealing with the AVERAGE Saiyan warrior anymore! He has risen above and become a Legend! A legend that you fear!” Frieza offscreen: “OH MY GOD!!!” P.S. you have no idea how hard it was not to comment with this joke until you got to it in DBZ Abridged
The amount of ads on this video seemed way more than usual which kinda spoiled the experience a bit for me. I understand why there are ads but the amount on this specific video annoys Excluding the ad issue though, this is an awesome episode to watch. One of my all time favorites
This is my favorite episode in all of DBS, because of Vegeta's speech combined with Beerus's comment, whether in Dub or Sub it was awesome. BTW Ultra instinct was revealed to not be a form or transformation, it's more a state of mind/being. This is shown in how it's designed to look like base form with a bit of flair in "sign" and MUI. So in Theory he could have a transformation with this state (similar to how SSJ God is Goku's base form with god ki and blue is the SSJ form with god ki.) A fun thing I like to think is real, is that when Goku first achieves MUI, he is shrouded in energy and looks like a being made of pure energy and this in some way pays homage to the fan art of SSJ 20 Goku. When I first saw Super Saiyan 2 Gohan, there was a lot of fan art about higher forms one of which that stood out among me and my friends, was Super Saiyan 20 Goku, and he looked exactly like that, a being made of energy in the silhouette of Goku, same blue energy too (blue was for his Kamehameha).
I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets inspiration from this show, I was training several months to hike up my first mountain when these episodes aired, the big day came and I was going up without any problems for a few hours until it became extremely difficult as I was getting to the peak, getting slammed by 80mph gusts of wind, clinging to a bolder trying to rest, I almost gave up until I thought of a part of the next episode where Goku forces himself up again and continues his battle against jiren, it somehow gave me the motivation and strength to reach the peak, it was an awesome moment
THIS EPISODE!!! I was floored even though I got spoiled somewhat from the Japanese advertisements. This s--t delivered and more. I was nearly brought to tears of pure happiness
Jiren vs Goku, fire vs water. Sun vs moon. The references are non stop over the next few episodes. Jirens power is raw and chaotic like the sun whereas goku is calm and tranquil like a full moon reflected on a still pond. The inspiration for the form and the aura goes back to a famous Bruce Lee quote; Be like water.
"Trespass into the domain of the Gods!" man vegeta has such a way with words. Feel like i could lift a damn mountain when i heard that for the first time
This episode was the best of all time The complete Autonomous Ultra Instinct Goku is so majestic and more divine now this is a brilliant episode, and also the animation the choreography and the camera angle awesome great reaction Madison and Baris we all love your reaction thank you for reacting this episode. He's reached the level of the angles UI is an angelic technique which is why it's even hard for destroyers to achieve that's why his hair is white and he admits a angelic like aura. Now he's not as powerful as the angels he still just scratched the surface but if you notice, all the angels have white hair and are always in a constant state of perfected mastered UI it's basically permanent for them. Goku has barely tapped into mastered UI. it's safe to say that both him and Jiren have surpassed the gods of destruction but still aren't close to the levels of the angels.
The oozaru sound was likely intentional. The Japanese version of DBZ had them making oozaru noises a lot, particularly Goku and Gohan as they powered up. Gohan charging his final kamehameha against Cell uses this perfectly in Japanese
8:56 It is . And if you remember DB is also inspired by Bruce Lee and i saw a vid of him explaining what ULTRA INSTINCT is .Not the form itself but just explaining how to get there.

@@jsmithers. it is literally nothing like that you literally know nothing🤡
@@jsmithers. buddy the only one crying here is you. You low class oaf🤡😂
16:44 the silence is so loud
Can't believe it's going to end really soon😢😢
Don't worry we will get og dragon ball reactions
@@MrDoomsday7that will be wild 😂😂
In my opinion this is the best episode in the tournament of power those words by vegeta hit hard
Vegeta definitely pushed Goku into mastering UI . After that speech that's when he closed his eyes and started letting go of his thoughts. And it all started from Vegeta giving Goku what energy he had left.
That Bruce falconer track made vegeta's speech 100× more awesome
The episode that crashed the Internet🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Whis! Goku has done it, hasn't he?
“Can’t wait to see their faces when they’re destroyed.” Lmao. Y’all are equally savage.
LETS GOOOOO!!!!! 💪😎💪 This episode didnt break the internet. It shattered its limits!! 😁
"KAKAROOOOOT!!!" Goosbumps!! every! F'ing! Time!! 👍😊👍
Literally had chills exactly when you said it bro‼️ One of the dopest scenes of Super ngl
He gains full control over ultra instinct when he fights moro and granolah
Bro won in life
For some reason in the Japanese subtitles when Berus stated he’s finally done it, and Wes said”Hai””……Hai” it hit way harder
This episode is my favorite and left me speechless. I've watched his transformation into Autonomous Ultra Instinct many times.
Something about her reactions seems fake to me or very exaggerated to me. 😮💨
In her defense, bds dragged tf out of this.
This episode and the next were some of the best DBS has to offer. It's amazing
The gods of the multiverse stood up to show respect to a single mortal..
Thats why goku is my goat
Then there's also Mastered Ultra Instinct Susanō in the manga.
Idk about sasano but I see lmao
It's weak as shit.
There is also True UI in the manga...
There is even true ultra instinct far efficient than mui
I have been waiting for this episode from you guys since your DBZ reaction days. How far we've come. This is my favourite episode of DBS on par with the next one.
Spoilers
The best part is that Goku's version of Ultra instinct is basically the first step of the ladder vs The Angels who are always in the UI state and are much "sharper" than Goku.
Beerus has mastery of UI just not completely like the angels
8:31 she called it 👏🏻
What I love about vegetas speech, is its almost as if the saiyan king is commanding his warrior and goku responding to his kings commands
I love when you looked at her when the Gods were standing up. When we first saw it we could feel it in our souls that this was a top tier moment in anime!
Got sooo much chills und tears...this Episode and his Majestic form is a Legendary History all time ❤.
if you want i can provide full reaction in hd .
Masterd Ultra Instinct is awesome but like they said it’s not a level that can be easily reached so that means his body will be very damaged and in the Japanese the ape row is better too hear
no its not better in japens dont here goku sond like btihc on creack when yelsl in japense
Mastered ultra instant is a form of great speed and defense
so Dragon Ball has had multiple instances where Goku (and sometimes Gohan) has had a beast roar alongside their own voices.
21:30 ur talking about flow state :)
It’s really a difficult thing to accomplish and only the top level fighters/competitors can “achieve” it. For anyone confused it’s basically just like ultra instinct where you stop thinking about what ur going to do next and your body just acts on its own as a result of years of practice in the sport.
Ok what's with the delay? Lol thought there was a drop everyday besides weekends
Gave me so many chills watching someone watch this for the first time 😂😂 I remember watching this when it first came out, was jumping up and down
Belmod: “Oh come on! Are you suggesting that he can master Ultra Instinct in the time that he has left?! Please, you’re a fool! That’s impossible!”
Vegeta: “You see Belmod, you’re not dealing with the AVERAGE Saiyan warrior anymore! He has risen above and become a Legend! A legend that you fear!”
Frieza offscreen: “OH MY GOD!!!”
P.S. you have no idea how hard it was not to comment with this joke until you got to it in DBZ Abridged
The amount of ads on this video seemed way more than usual which kinda spoiled the experience a bit for me. I understand why there are ads but the amount on this specific video annoys
Excluding the ad issue though, this is an awesome episode to watch. One of my all time favorites
Any notice the nod to Vegetas theme in the music just after the Epic Vegeta speech??
Amazing!
So in Theory he could have a transformation with this state (similar to how SSJ God is Goku's base form with god ki and blue is the SSJ form with god ki.)
A fun thing I like to think is real, is that when Goku first achieves MUI, he is shrouded in energy and looks like a being made of pure energy and this in some way pays homage to the fan art of SSJ 20 Goku.
19:16 "how is Goku soo good at what he does? How does he master things like this??!!"
Muffin button
I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets inspiration from this show, I was training several months to hike up my first mountain when these episodes aired, the big day came and I was going up without any problems for a few hours until it became extremely difficult as I was getting to the peak, getting slammed by 80mph gusts of wind, clinging to a bolder trying to rest, I almost gave up until I thought of a part of the next episode where Goku forces himself up again and continues his battle against jiren, it somehow gave me the motivation and strength to reach the peak, it was an awesome moment
19:15 The reason why Goku is able to master such things is because he is a combat Savant.
THIS EPISODE!!! I was floored even though I got spoiled somewhat from the Japanese advertisements. This s--t delivered and more. I was nearly brought to tears of pure happiness
Goku Ultra Instinct Every Attack in Dragon Fighter Z Crazy Well and Beautifull ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The next powerful form who beat master ultra instinct ultra ego Vegeta the true God of destruction ❤❤❤❤
The growls and screams Sean did as goku in this is INSANE!
Vegeta may call himself the Prince of all Saiyans, but when he addresses Goku like this, that is a King speaking to his best warrior
Do you mind making the small screen more clear to see? Thanks ❤❤
Funny how Baris doesn't like Zenny's, but in Japanese version they were my favorite
Mastered Ultra Instinct it's Too much Powerfull like Basic but Ultra Instinct Transformation Perfect ❤❤❤❤
18:25 What was that? 🤨
I saw that too lol
@@Lance-wn9dcwhat was what? I was only focusing on the show
The moment that truly broke the Internet. The one that coined the term.
I need the next episode! Like now!! This is such an amazing journey for you both and I'm here for it!
Jiren vs Goku, fire vs water. Sun vs moon. The references are non stop over the next few episodes. Jirens power is raw and chaotic like the sun whereas goku is calm and tranquil like a full moon reflected on a still pond. The inspiration for the form and the aura goes back to a famous Bruce Lee quote; Be like water.
dam what was the track on vegeta's speech, its fire
"Trespass into the domain of the Gods!" man vegeta has such a way with words. Feel like i could lift a damn mountain when i heard that for the first time
This episode was the best of all time The complete Autonomous Ultra Instinct Goku is so majestic and more divine now this is a brilliant episode, and also the animation the choreography and the camera angle awesome great reaction Madison and Baris we all love your reaction thank you for reacting this episode. There were other parts of super that you guy didn't react to that is also fun and stupid but great reaction again
Yall reaction is amazing started watching y’all yesterday react to DBS and I’m all caught up now I CANT WAIT FOR YALL TO REACT TO THE NEXT 2 EPISODES
7:47 you added that music didn't you?! They should have kept Bruce Falconers tunes!
At 13:25 every shake was a punch
Thts crazy to think of
I mean Jiren could do that with just his eyes with just his own strength
He's reached the level of the angles UI is an angelic technique which is why it's even hard for destroyers to achieve that's why his hair is white and he admits a angelic like aura. Now he's not as powerful as the angels he still just scratched the surface but if you notice, all the angels have white hair and are always in a constant state of perfected mastered UI it's basically permanent for them. Goku has barely tapped into mastered UI. it's safe to say that both him and Jiren have surpassed the gods of destruction but still aren't close to the levels of the angels.
13:08 hes punching so damn fast he’s flying
I hope everyone here knows that Jiren is way more powerful than Goku.
Vegeta said don't speak down on Kakarot! RIP Toriyama, Dragon Ball has definitely motivated me at times to be better, both physically and mentally.
The oozaru sound was likely intentional. The Japanese version of DBZ had them making oozaru noises a lot, particularly Goku and Gohan as they powered up. Gohan charging his final kamehameha against Cell uses this perfectly in Japanese
This video is mindblowing best episode of super 😊🤠😎
8:56 It is . And if you remember DB is also inspired by Bruce Lee and i saw a vid of him explaining what ULTRA INSTINCT is .Not the form itself but just explaining how to get there.
The prince commanded his vassal. His vassal empowered by his prince.. obeyed. Sayain blood is at work here.
