I am a drummer myself for 20 years now and I saw him with Sepultura a few years ago. And to this day I am not even sure if his kit was mic'd up at all. This dude is beyond insane and his strength and power are insane! His playing is inhuman!
I watched another reaction to this and he said those "cool upbeats" you spoke about almost sounds like he's off beat....but he's not! It's intentional and i am here for it! You took the words out of my mouth "this dude is an absolute powerhouse!".

Eloy Made Sepultura 10 times better just by the way he structures his parts to there Music. After Calvalera Left. that had really bad drummers. In my own opinion. I wish he would go back to those albums and make it his.
Eloy Casagrande (Sepultura) is superior to Tomas Haake (Meshuggah). Andrew Rooney (also a specialist in drums/percussion and drummer performances), from New Zealand, already had the courage to confirm this, to say this. Fact.

The groove on the double drum at 6:49 is insane. hes not just hammering the double drums, hes got an amazing groove in them…nuts.
Got so much groove for a metal drummer. Difficult to argue with the premise that Eloy may just be the best metal drummer alive
