There's one easy solution for this shows problems:
Just cut one or two episodes early on in the script stage. So there's less time for filler scenes and the budget doesn't have to be spread too thin.
If not, just make it a 2-hour Paramount+ movie instead of a show. Same effect.
Cut that shitty musical.
If Knuckles gets a second season, what if... Knuckles encounters Team Chaotix? Like in their online game debut? Rouge will probably appear in Sonic 3...
I want the chaotix team in season 2 of knuckles and rouge being on sonic 3 would be great!
And it should be about the wife and her sister trying to find their long lost mom!!!! And she’s a professional soccer player and they have to play against her to win her respect or something!!! And yeah i guess chaotix can be in it.

Honestly i didn’t mind the Wade story to much as it was a way to connect Knuckles to Wade like how sonic is with Tom. It was an example of how Wade has something he loves about his life on Earth and that involves having personal connections as well. Helps Knuckles learn more about Earth and its values.
Knuckles sure learn about earth and good people!
Hell I think Wade was the perfect person to introduce Earth culture to Knuckles

And an compliment to the Wade story is basically the show is about knuckles teaching him so it makes sense in ep4 why it would be mostly him because he kinda improves as a character in that episode
@@whitneywoods54 Yeah no, show barely spends any time(If any at all) having Knuckles teach wade. I think he had a conversation about victory with Wade at the end of episode 2 and then the next time its relevant is episode 4 where his teaching method is "He must save himself(This time)" and then send him to Pachacamac to do the rest. _That's it,_ we're done with that plot at this point.
The main premise of the series and its barely there after episode 2 let alone episode 1.
I get the idea that their original plan was scrapped when they decided to make sure the visual effects match the quality of the movies. I would have preferred lower quality CGI than lower quality story.
And the thing with Wade's story is that it could've been done better, it just feels like a boring and watered down version of Po's arc from the first Kung Fu Panda movie where it's about 'a loser and incompetent guy that's looked at as a joke by everyone but they want to become a hero within, so they earn the title and become respected by everyone in the end'.
It would've been better if the climatic bowling alley was videogame-themed
Just like they did with Wade's musical, where he was dressed as Knuckles and was "playing" the games
This show really focused on a NPC in a sonic world
And that's the problem.

Gotta admit as soon as it said “Wade as Knuckles” I admittedly went “oh … that’s why the show is still called Knuckles”
If that mention of an alien in Reno is actually about Shadow, then I'm guessing Shadow's escape pod crash landed there after the Space Colony Ark raid.
I also thought about that too, perhaps Shadow must've landed on Earth years before Sonic and others' arrival.
Yeah, so this and both movies mention 50 years ago ref and in the 1st movie some people miss the line from Maddie mentioning how Tom's family has protected Green Hills for 50 years which could imply Tom's father may have been present in seeing Shadow let alone if they were to have it be that he was the one who shot Maria in having worked for the government in the past much like how Sonic X revealed the soldier that killed Maria and the guilt that came from it.
Well, use a calculator and subtract 2024 by 50, you get 1974. They are no doubt, teasing THE GOAT

OK, is it just me, or do the vocals for that awesome rock and roll music in the final battle sound like Crush 40? Because it would be so awesome if Crush 40, the masters of modern Sonic music, were brought back to do music for Sonic cinematic universe.

My only gripe with the series was that Knuckles was supposed to train Wade in the way of the warrior and yet there was no training what so ever. He had Wade find the warrior within on his own. Overall I enjoyed the series.

It was bad lol, there’s bits/conversations that are obviously stretched out because of time and money. It shouldn’t have been made. It’s better off as a tax write off
And another thing with that to, Wade is a comic relief character. He has nothing to work off of other than being the "dumb and incompetent guy that's clumsy" but i think they were trying to go for a plot with him that was similar to Po's arc from the first Kung Fu Panda guy of a "guy who's looked at as a joke by everyone but then becomes a respected warrior hero in the end" but it failed and was VERY boring compared to that.

23:18 the fact that it was exactly 50 years ago is further evidence to suggest that is is Shadow, cuz canonically his story happened 50 years before the main timeline more or less, which today would be 2024. I always thought that line was weird, I genuinely am surprised it flew over my head like that 😂
Everyone already knows that Shadow is in Sonic Movie 3 so its a very nothing teaser, only noteworthy to anyone who is not already familiar with the Sonic Series.

In my opinion the show is not bad but its not amazing as a sonic fan i had alot of fun with the show but its not the worst show ever it is enjoyable.
I'm the same. It was enjoyable and I had fun. It's not the worst, I wanted it to amazing too. But for something to watch in the meantime for Sonic movie 3. It was enjoyable.
I liked it to. And matter of a fact this also felt like Knuckles' version of the first movie to since
Both had an animal who was a fish out of water with earth and trying to learn how it was go on a road trip with their human companion.
Both had the animal and the human companion bond over time to.
Both the animal and the human are on the run from the bad guy(s) who want the animal's power
Both had the animal meet the human guy's family(Sonic meeting Tom's sister in law and his niece, and Knuckles meeting Wade's sister and mom)
Both had the animal during the final battle learn that he has to now fight for his family and the home he lives in. (It even felt similar to the final battle from the first movie to).
Honestly this should’ve been animated cause yeah the series was held back its budgets.
The problem with episode four is that its a show about a CGI character that trains another character his ways of the echidna,but they knew thes were limited. And i get CGI is expensive,but if u cant afford the character to appear through the whole show and be overshadowed by side characters in the universe. Also its the fact that if u remove episode four, nothing changes. Its still the same show because Wade didn't really have anything else to show other than the final fight scene where he just throws bowls at the main villain.If your reading this and didn't watch the knuckles show i recommend skipping episode 4 but if u want to go through the whole series then good luck surviving through the whole episode

It was great when the focus was on Knuckles, but when they shifted the focus to Wade it was like I just don’t care about his story and family.

I honestly did not realize how much people hated this show. Everyone I've talked to irl or outside of Twitter loved it 😕
And that all that matters! Some people just exaggerate lol
They wanted so hard to be Alan Wake 2
So about the knuckles show and what I think, I personally think it's really fun and I like it alot. However, all the negatives to the show could have been solved with two solutions:
one, make at least 8 or even 10 episodes.
or two make the 6 episodes an hour long each.
The first option would be the balance between the Knuckles and Wade stuff, because like four of the episodes is mostly on Wade while episodes 1 and 4(kind of) focus more on Knuckles so there would be a bigger equal number amount of episodes each about the two characters.
For option two, every episode each being an hour long will give an equal amount of screen time to the two main characters. ( I was expecting this option and it should've happened )
Are the options expensive? Yes, but if possible in using the money they already had to make the show any negative would just be a nip pick.
Maybe when the Knuckles show gets a possible season 2 more they make another spin-off show about a specific Sonic character this kind of stuff can be improved especially if it features a lot of human characters. That's all I have to say on the matter.
I think the pros and cons of the show can be captured with two specific facts
1: The tone and vibe of this show most resembles The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog but if it had been a life-action hybrid animation instead of all animated. Scratch and Grounder now work for GUN instead of Robotnik.
2: For a show title "Knuckles" very little of the plot is about Knuckles.
To be fair, I'm sure a lot of the issue is because they wanted to play off the Sonic 3 and Knuckles gag, they know Knuckles is the best selling point they had to offer, and the cost of the live-action hybrid is way higher than doing the equivalent written story in the form of Sonic X or something.
Buuuut, that kinda leads to the question of "why not just have the whole thing be animated?" which like, clearly they want to do live action to catch a broader audience. But the logistics may be doing them more harm than help?
Overall I enjoyed the show, but also I kinda enjoyed it because I opened it up on a side screen while I was working on other stuff and promptly forgot it was supposed to be "The Knuckles Show" and not "Sonic Movie 2.5".
I loved the show but wished for more knuckles, loved how they featured my hometown Reno.
I mean that guy did say it was the worst HE ever experienced... Maybe he just hadn't experienced that much Sonic media

Same I fought it was enjoyable and I had fun. But yeah episode 4 was my least favourite of the show, so much so I skip some of it to the part where Wade gives Knuckles his hat. But I enjoyed my time and now I'm just waiting for Sonic 3 to be here ! Hopefully the trailer will be here soon.
It is definitely not the worst out of the sonic franchise, though if I had to say something about Bad about it. It needed a little more action. And it focused a little too much on Wade, not that I had a problem with that. Just knuckles wasn't always a part of it, which was a shame

I swear this happens every time when a Paramount Sonic project comes out. People somehow bloat their expectations into thinking the next thing will be a profound masterpiece but then freak out when it’s just ok.
🤔 Since Sonic basically has Tom & Maddie, now Knuckles has Wade, I wonder about Tails could he get a spinoff with him & Maddie’s sister and her daughter, also I liked the Robotnik/G.U.N. connection, because remember in the first movie Robotnik had a bunch of agents with him besides Stone, which Robotnik worked for a covert government agency they would call in for certain circumstances

Got done wacthing it, and had to hear your opinion on it. My main complaint was pretty much too much human screen time, but the cool thing about how they used Chief "Mac" is now we know how Tikal would appear, and interact with the rest of the cast in the later installments. Lastly I could see the tensity of whenever Rouge the Bat and Shadow the Hedgehog relationship could be with G.U.N. with how humans view them as threats and not living creatures with wills and rights to live (which could be explored in Sonic Movie 3). Last stretch, I thought that demon looked familiar it's so nice SEGA and Sonic Team can acknowledge Sonic 06.
Here's to Blaze and Silver appearing one day in a movie or all out series!
I wonder if that wall will ever be fixed, or will it become a running gag in the series! XD

i like pachacamac’s inclusion. he doesn’t have much of a characterization in all of sonic media and i was pleased with the way they did it.
I actually liked Wade. The only problem was that there was too much Wade and not enough Knuckles. While Wade is a likable character on his own, I came for Knuckles, not Wade.
I honestly enjoyed it. I like Wade and Knuckles did have some progression learning how to call Earth home.

The animation quality was spectacular. The villains and action scenes; phenomenal. I honestly feel like they could have balanced out the Wade family thing, and the Wade training with Knuckles. Not to mention have Wade at least learn one new thing from Knuckles, in every episode. Then apply that to the finale. Also, the way Knuckles could've started to train Wade, could've been written better. All in all, the concept was excellent on paper. The writing is in the grey. The execution, was 60/40, at most.

Cgi is expensive, especially cgi that stands the test of time. It's either we get worse cgi but better story or the opposite. That's why I love the focus on practical effects in movies. Look at lotr vs hobbit.

During episode 5 and the start of 6. I just remember thinking to myself, where is Knuckles? Which is concerning slightly but still somewhat enjoyable.
