MGM costume designer Helen Rose designed the costumes for Eva in North by Northwest, but Hitchcock did not like them. So, he took Eva to Bergdorf's to select a ready to wear wardrobe. Helen Rose went on to design the bridal gown of Grace Kelly given by Grace to The Philadelphia Museum of Art.
