Is this something that I will need to do or is it remove the old and plug and play on the new? Thanks for your help and great video!
wow, its about the size of my MXM card for my laptop
If you had a choice of this Dell 3060Ti or a 2070 Super .. which would you go with? It seems they both have DDR6 and 8Gb memory. Yet it is hard to compare on many of the GPU websites.. any input? It does seems the 3060Ti from Dell .. the cooling fans are kinda cheap?
I think its better to go with the newer architecture if they are relatively equal, youll get more life out of longer driver support. Worse case down the road if the fans go bad you can zip tie some 120mm fans to it
@@CoilWhine Two more questions :) I assume the Dell 3060ti has thermal protection to try to squeeze more out of it with MSI Afterburner? and do I need to uninstall the GeForce Software first before swapping out or no?
Nah if youre going from Nvidia to Nvidia it should be fine
@@CoilWhine Thanks for the info!
Hi Coil Whine! How is its power consumption?
Very low, i haven't checked in a hot minute tho. They were extremely popular among miners because of their low power consumption.
Just snagged one on eBay for $270.
Great card! Snagged one from an Alienware pre built!
Awesome thank you
How about this rtx to mine eth? You can try it?
Oh it mines the same as any other 3060ti- 60mh at 120-140watts
@@CoilWhine I just got an Alienware with this card and I was hoping to mine eth also. Is there any specific settings I should set?
@@ferealz7891 set the mem to +1000 and the core to -400 and the power to 50% or around 120 watts
@@CoilWhine Dude thank you so much! Greatly appreciated.
Thank you Bro!
what size is the gpu?
I just bought an Alienware R10 from dell with this card, Im concerned with videos I've seen of it running hot
probably more because dell cant make a case with airflow than the card itself being hot
@@CoilWhine lol Geez, Thx Dell. This is my first gaming PC I was hoping to do a little mining on the side also with it
@@ferealz7891 Don't ruin it with mining. Minimg fucks your computer.
now I'm more interested in buying pre-builds
right now its all we've got. might not be the best, but its cheap
Can I know anyone had try this for mining? Was it decent gpu to mine ?
Works the same for mining as any other 3060ti
Whats the length of this card plz sum1 tell me :(
Its roughly 210mm long 120mm wide and 35mm thick
@@CoilWhine thanks bro its due to me needing to deshroud this and put it in my mini itx case haha
@@arasumi3408 thing really packs a punch for its size
I like how its not covered in gaudy gamer puke like most of the retail cards.
Thanks for the info
Can you do a dell 3080 and 3070
Id love to i just dont have them :/
@@CoilWhine ok fam
does the text light up?
Yes
Can this card be deshrouded?
yes
$400 in my country
Worth getting over $440 6700xt?
The 6700xt is more powerful but id take the Nvidia features every day of the week
Mine was outperforming the 2070 super by a noticeable amount
The best 2070 s vs dell
why didnt you do the tests of mining these cards? especieally interesting dell 3060ti without lhr
They both mine basically the same
@@CoilWhine +- 60 mh ?
@@Benjamin_Franklin yep
can you do it with a 2060 pls
I unfortunately dont have a 2060 :(
Great video! I have one with broken fan. Do you have any suggestion on what fan to replace with?
You should be able to get the fans for this off ebay but 2 90mm noctuas zip tied to it should work great
I just took this exact gpu out of an alienware r10 I bought that had major issues, but that's a whole other story I could write a book about.
Performance on this card is great, but HOLY FUCK do the coils ever whine
Haha coil go Brrrrrr
@@CoilWhine go brrrr so loud it amplifies my tinnitus
What are the dimensions of the Dell 3060Ti?
Its roughly 210mm long 120mm wide and 35mm thick
@@CoilWhine Danke! I just installed it into a Dell 3880. (only mods: an external power supply. I removed the original one. and I purchased a 24 pin atx to 6 pin motherboard adaptor.) I needed the external power supply to power up the 3060Ti since the original PSU did not come with a PIC-e (gpu) power cable. It's working like a charm. Not only that, it's mining 61 MH/s on a 3880!
@@alexgottmituns7049 nice dude, think this is my favorite rtx card because its so small and packs a punch
@@CoilWhine Thank you. I managed to install the Dell 3060ti inside a Dell 3880 (i5 10400 Mini PC). I did have to replace the PSU and get a 24 atx pin to 6 pin adaptor. The PSU sits behind the case. LoL.
@@CoilWhine Hi, is that 210 with the IO shield and the screw area? or 210 without the shield and the screw area?
Wait.... Step back a few.... You need to reset the bios when installing this card when moving from another nvidia card?!
I dont remember, i might have had to because of something odd with the motherboard not the card
i baught a dell g5 prebuild with an rtx 3060 ti and an i7 10700f and the cpu cooler is realy bad and i dont know what cooler i can buy to reduce the temperatures can someone help me because my case is realy small thanks!
Get Vetroo V5 on amazon, fits perfect and works great. No extra parts needed. $25 brings cinebench temp from 100c to 65c.
@@supercheapdad7362 Agreed, Vetroo V5 works great on my xps 8940 system with a 3060 ti.
I found a dell rtx 3060 ti for $340. I think nothing should go wrong with a dell 3060ti
Its been working great for us for the past year and a half
@@CoilWhine do you have hynix or samsung memory ?
dell prebuild in my country is 5999MYR (divide by 4 for USD). pretty cheap. I kinda like 3060 ti rather than 3070.
with how poorly the case cooling is set up on the xps8940 the performance gap between a 3070 and 3060ti might be smaller than youd think. of course thats if you keep the case closed
Can you do a video on the dell 3070? Assuming you have one lying around like Dawid ha ha ha..o
Man i wish, i wanna blower 3080-90 because im a maniac
