@@JohnKenneth-l8q That's good to hear! and yeah, minimal background process keeping the laptop quiet and tamed. I also run dual battery power bridge on my lenovo t480 and I guess windows 10 just compatible when you have multiple batteries.
Yesterday i installed 24H2, before this i was on 22H2, and my update service said you no longer will receive cumulative updates on this version. So i upgraded via ISO file & using power shell. So far it's good. No issues.
You need buy a new licence key to activate the LTSC edition but apart from that the lifecycle is pretty good - 5 years support as opposed to 2 years support for mainstream Windows 11 builds. The main difference here is you won’t get any new features - only security updates over the LTSC lifecycle. If that sounds like what you want, you’ll be happy with it because of the relaxed hardware requirements for business and organisational customers who want stability and security in their day to day environments. That’s for whom the LTSC edition is marketed.
I couldn't have said it better myself brother... Thanks a lot for the info and a clean, straight to the point video. Just to add to what you are saying, for those who didn't know of course.. There are versions of MS Office LTSC. This is all I am running from now on. Also, you can completely uninstall MS Edge and use only your preferred browsers. Together with these, install your copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro, the non-DC version 👌👌
I have installed windows 11 home (clean installation) on unsupported hardware using rufus options. I have only one issue with my laptop; although wireless network card initially worked, windows 11 updated driver and then wireless network card stopped working. To make it work I have to uninstall driver and reboot, so windows reinstalls the the downgraded driver. But a few minutes after reboot windows updates driver and card stops working again. How can I prevent windows from updating the wireless network driver only, but keep other update settings standard?
I installed windows 11 normal edition on an older laptop non compatible, i re formatted the drive and it allowed me to install it, and i have no issues either.... dont even need that edition 🤷♂️
Everything in this video was alright until you said that regular windows 11 was not as snappier as windows 11 LTSC because it was constantly checking for the minimum requirements while running. That would be rather stupid, not even Microsoft would do such thing. LTSC version is snappier because it has less features, less services running, than the regular version. Let me add that those requirements are mainly checked at installation time, once installed you can deactivate Secure Boot for example, it may be needed for installation of some linux distros in dual-boot mode.
I think there is no point on doing this even after modifying multiple iso files i think its better to go for linux , because the ultimate goal should be to reuse the hardware some how and linux does it so well. yes it is complicated and i recently stated to daily drive the linux and i am loving it a lot.
You are not modifying the ISO file and this version has support till April 2034, how long do you think that unsupported hardware that is now at least 7 years old will be in 2034?
Love the jacket, bro. Merry Christmas! currently using LTSC windows 10, it's so stable. I don't think I'll be switching anytime soon.
Same bro, it fixed the heating issue and triple the battery of my dell latitude 7490 laptop
How do you get LTSC windows 10?

you cant activate the eval copy with a purchased key.
If you try it after the eval expires you will direct you to a link to download the real LTSC ISO. It did for me.

Linux is not everyone's cup of tea, and also app compatibility is an issue
