2 Tsp Thyme
1 Scallions
1/2 Tsp scotch bonnets Pepper
1 cloves garlic
1 tomato
1/2 onion
1/2 sweet peppers/optional
1 can Ackee
Salt fish
1/2 Tsp black pepper
1/2 All Purpose season

Thanks for sharing this recipe Ms Jody. You have taught me how to cook a lot of your Jamaican dishes very well. I love the way you explain things. It also helps that we are in the same location 😚 I usually use Cawood saltfish, but it's not as good as it used to be. Which brand did you use in this video? It looks better than the one I get. Also your ackee is nice and chunky, which tin brand is that? I understand that tin can never compare with fresh ackee, but the one in your video looks lovely and not in broken pieces. Again thank you for doing what you do for us.🥰
Your most welcome,glad to hear that🙏🏾 I don’t remember the brand of the salt fish I used it’s really thick in size… your absolutely right it really is chunky i was surprised I try my best not to mix it too much so it doesn’t marsh out, the Ackee I used call Dee Caribbean Ackee it’s very good brand, thanks so much for watching. Looks good but it seems to be dry
I didn’t know ackee was banned from the U.S from toxicity from the fresh ackee . Looks good though could I just use eggs instead ? Since the flavor is supposed to be similar ?
Although they look similar, Ackee tastes nothing like eggs.

Every time mi Ackee always get mash up, raise down di heat so it can tan suh? Mi Ackee get mash up man
You have to fold it in. When you add it to the pot, just move it around slightly like he’s doing here instead of mixing it aggressively
