    In this video, Dr. Eric Berg explains what glutathione is in this video, its benefits, how it can get depleted, and where to find it.
    Glutathione is one of the most powerful antioxidants in your body. You can get it from your diet and produce it from your body. It is high in sulfur and can be found in all cruciferous vegetables. It helps prevent damage to cells. It has anti-aging properties. It helps fight chemicals you get exposed to in your daily environment.
    It can get depleted over time by various conditions in your body and environment. Watch the video in full to find out recommendations as to what you should be looking for to add more glutathione to your body.

    It's always good to revisit these nugget-type videos, thanks Doc, the pattern I see when you discuss the different ailments always seems to come back to simply adjusting your diet and reaping the benefits of a ketovore/carnivore lifestyle or as some say a "meat-heavy low-carb diet" actually low net carbs more specifically cruciferous vegetables only.

    • @nsudatta-roy8154
      @nsudatta-roy8154 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the profile pic is you, then you can never get enough cysteine from cruciferous veg to amount to any therapeutic benefit. Cysteine is transported to the cell and delivers cystine into the cell to raise endogenous glutathione. Not even liposomal glutathione can enter the cell.
      If you really want to elevate glutathione, you'll have to consume the precursors and have a balance diet to benefit clinically from glutathione.

      Biggest issue with GCH, and the reason it isn't pushed nearly as hard as the others, is most of it never makes it to the liver. It's almost entirely broken down (and combined) in the stomach to branch with other compounds, the net result of which do not offer any benefit. To get the most out of GCH you have to inhale it, or inject it. This is also the same reasons most supplement manufacturers don't offer GCH as an oral pill -- IV/IM injection and inhalation assumes extra liability and responsibility the manufacturers don't want to be part of.

    Hi Dr. Berg. I deal with Melasma and acne. I'm interested in trying Glutathione and NAC. Are there ever any risks to taking these? Thank you!

    Does it help take out hydrogen peroxide like catalase does? And if so is it just as good?

    So if Glutathione has a high sulfor compound, would it work if I took MSM (organic sulfur) to improve Glutathione levels? Or is it still better to take Glutathione in its ready form?
