Found in the files of Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 are remnants of a currently unused Multiplayer mode! And, thankfully some of the unused assets can actually be modded back into the game so we can get a better glimpse into what this multiplayer mode was planned to play like! Hope you enjoy this video!

Honestly a multiplayer mode in poppy playtime would be kinda cool, they would definitely have to add more monsters tho but I do hope that they add this multiplayer mode in the future

I wonder if this is being developed due to the devs being scared that Monsters & Mortals will cancel the crossover due to the controversies
Glowstick Entertainment has already said numerous times that they won't cancel the crossover.

I think a dbd type gamemode would be sick, but should be kept until the end, so that they can focus on the actual single player gameplay first

A nice option would be hiding GrabPack hands. When these are hidden you can sprint faster, jump higher and climb so escaping would be a little easier for player

If some rando can make an entire multiplayer mode for Security Breach when that game didn't even plan on having one. Im pretty sure they can add the multiplayer on this game

I believe that the multiplayer mode WILL return in the future because the amount of the unused graphics are substantial
Literally the craziest way to tease Project Playtime, I wonder if they were just playing around with it at the time and then saw people being interested and went ahead to develop the actual stand-alone multiplayer game or if it had always been the plan....
they likely thought "hmm, what if we make this a multiplayer mode instead of just an extra bit on the 2nd chapter". Better investment.

I find this interesting because it gives us the ability to play as either huggy or mommy officially and I think that would be cool.
This would make a lot of sense to be on the console ports in my opinion, and even online play

As cool as it is that there is this in the game given the state that chapter 2 was in and the bad PR they have at the moment it would be much wiser for them to focus on getting the following chapters done, that being said if they wanted to add tiny bits here and there for modders to get their grubby mitts on to complete a makeshift version then I have no objections just as long as it's not made a priority, you know?

It would be cool if each player could pick and choose stuff like the colors of their grab pack hands which all do different stuff, and also be able to have like a stun cannon to use against the monsters.

if the emotes were kept in the game, i would flip off mommy long legs for taking my red hand
I reckon that when all chapters are made, they will realise the multiplayer mode, because when all maps are made, You will be able to make a vote option on which map you would go on.
I hope they continue this

I think they will release it when there are a couple more monsters in the game

the multiplayer mode was probably made (very) early before project playtime for testing
this is a step up in indie horror but this could have two major problems, if they don't make unique maps designed for a mode like this you are just playing the linear campaign with online co op which on its own wouldn't be bad but with the unused elements seen here it seems like their forcing a new form of gameplay on maps that won't comply for either the killer players or the survivor players
the other major problem i see with this is that their could be massive problems between operating system compatibility and also with all the unused stuff pushed out of bounds but still being rendered( because EnchantedMOB isn't paying any of his employees legally) that will not be friendly to computers playing the game on low specs since they will not only be rendering the map with all that junk still but all the player models, animations and interactions as well
MOB Studio needs to up their pay rate or this feature being added to the future will leave a bad stain in their young reputation as a studio, just remember Fallout 76 and that wasn't even an indie game

I do think these are assets from dark deception monsters and mortals since they will collab with mob games and add huggy wuggy, kissy missy in that game, and these are probably assets from that game for the collab
