Bourne series was one of the greatest action trilogies out there.

I hate it that they killed off Nicky. Other than Bourne she was the only character that had been in all the movies and knew Bourne a little bit.
Yes. To me the 5th movie doesn't exist. Nicky and Jason's story ends with the trilogy

The Bourne Legacy did not have Matt Damon yet is an excellent movie.

I was under the impression Nicky was Bourne’s girlfriend before he went into the program. Probably ex as it’s assumed he didn’t have any ties to the world. His Dad had been killed and so he was recruited as a “lone wolf”. I get the feeling from her character development that he was “the one” for her and would do anything to help or protect him as much as possible. Relationship or not.
Whenever I watch this scene I'm like "Dude chill out, she doesn't know anything!"😂

Her part was So convincing you can see Matt Damon almost broke character because he thought she was really scared ! I love these movies.

@@kingrobert1st If you watch the Bourne Stuntacular from Orlando here on TH-cam ( '2020 Bourne Stuntacular Complete Show with Preshow Ultra HD 4K Universal Studios Florida' and go to 4:17) we find out Nicky survived the events of Jason Bourne and is still looking out for him, though keeping her distance. Julia Stiles reprised her role here too, so fingers crossed she'll be back for the next one :)

Abbot lurking around Landy like a goblin, brilliant visual. Damon is very good, but it's the rest of the cast that make this a great movie.
Exactly what Damon would have said haha. It really is an incredibly talented cast. To act in these types of scene’s especially the last part really takes talent
It’s scary considering even you expect him to kill her since he lost Marie and he is on a war path. But sparing her showed Pam that he was aiming for something else.

I saw this movie in theaters, the audience was so silent during this scene you could've heard a pin drop.

I keep a pocket full of pins whenever I go to the movies so I can drop em when it's silent. I can assure that you cannot hear pins drop.

My favourite films. All the actors filled their roles perfectly.
My favourite scene is the very last one. Nicky sat in a bar watching TV. She hears the announcement that Bourne is dead.
She smiles.

All the actors in this franchise were phenomenal and gave grave spectacular performances but lets just appreciate Julia Stiles, she's preformed this character spectacularly in the few scenes she's in. The characters death truly was shocking especially since I had great expectations in her return. Still a great decision filming wise because the characters death had the intended effect, which wouldn't be possible had she given a poor performance so the decision was bitter sweet. I wish she had significantly more screen time though, she was great.

It's weird to watch Brian Cox not be in control of a scene.
I think I liked the Identity the best. That scene where Bourne drops from the top landing, holding onto the body as he goes down, then shoots the other guy on the stairs as he passes by, then uses the one he's holding to break his fall.... yikes! That was the most fantastic special effects/action scene I've ever seen, bar none ( at least that I can remember), and I've seen a lot of movies. It really didn't look fake, and it might just be barely possible.
Certainly made me an instant fan. Outstanding! Plus I like the girl friend, wish they had kept her, for at least one more chapter.
That's the one scene that isn't possible.. not even CLOSE to being possible. You can't just break your fall with a body like that it was dumb. That's like saying you can fall that distance and just land on a body an you good. rofl.
@@rlock8453 I agree. I remember thinking, "Bullshit!" when I saw that scene. It pissed me off because everything else seems very plausible.
Best action scene imho was The Dark Knight Rises prologue, where they capture a plane with another plane. Best action scene in the Bourne trilogy was imho the chase scene in Moscow. Morocco was pretty cool too.
yeah that scene was kinda lame, he could survive that fall with so minor injuries like in one in one thousand times
he was far better off staying where he is and trying to shoot his way down the stares or pull a wall climbing maneuver like in the embassy
for me the most capturing scene was the action sequence in the embassy and yes, the identity was the best of them all, not too much cuts and camera shake and still gripping action thriller from start to end
@@rlock8453 Actually it is very, very possible. There's evidence of people literally free-falling out of airplanes that survived. The most fantastic example was an allied soldier during WW2 that was blown from the sky and free-fell with his parachute failing to deploy. When the Germans eventually got to him they were so amazed that he was apparently unharmed and standing on his own that they gave him some food and alcohol and let him go.
In fact after much scientific analysis of all scenarios including aiming for water, aiming for trees or thick vegetation the best solution by the experts for surviving such a great fall is to grab unto a fellow passenger and use them to break your fall.
His searching gaze at 3:28 while trying to form words!!! Brilliant work.
I still can't believe the same girl whom he scared to death right here would later help him in the next movie.

Paul Greengrass's direction in this segment is staggering.
but the action sequences and the shaky camera not and that's where the movie should shine too.
The death of Nicky was the death of the series & franchise… for me.

You said it right. That was what I was thinking for too long. Nicky Parsons is essential to the story arc and development of the series and an important ally to Jason Bourne's character

The acting here from Julia Styles is excellent. Even small details like how she gasps when he appears out of nowhere and pulls her off the tram.

When he points the gun at her head, that was some serious acting by Julia Styles. Genuinely looked and sounded terrified.

An uncommon focus on realism that Tony Gilroy would later bring to Star Wars with Andor.
They should've ended in Ultimatum. Or at least let Nicky live in Jason Bourne. One of the best action franchise.

the winter soldier was such a masterful action movie in the avengers sequence it kept me at the back of my seat the entire time

@@cardinalwilson8034 no, the CIA has billions of dollars in fund. So I'm sure getting a GPS tracker shouldn't be a problem. I believe its the availability, no GPS were available, probably that's why nicky wasn't wearing 1. But I'm sure it's not budget issues.

At the end of the first movie Abbott leaves Bourne alone after that disaster caused by Conklin but in this sequel he's up to no good and wants him dead. Not sure how that switch happened
I would say it was due to the off-the-record killing of the mark Nesky (the Russian politician) which he likely had some involvement with - possibly even authorized it. So here, he was tying up all loose ends that could implicate him.
