@Not Me John isn't a big dude, he's about 5'9" or so and maybe 165-175 lbs. He is pretty average height and in really good shape. Scott is a big dude! I met him a few years ago, he is probably 6'2" and 235-245 or so.

The picture of the elephant on the ammo box should’ve tipped me off. I still have 10 rounds of that first box of ammo left… I have no desire to ever fire that rifle again!

The most "painful" guns I ever shot were a 10 guage shotgun with 3 1/2" magnum, a 45-70 Contender with a 14 inch barrel and a Ruger single shot number 1 in 45-70. Not too bad compared to some of these.
Yeah those 10 gauge slugs are pretty mean, my father-in-law sure wanted me to shoot his 10ga when we were out target practicing, I'm sure he just wanted to see me get bruised if I shouldered it wrong.. LoL 😆
I have shot a 45-70 handgun and hated it. I worst gun I own is an 1886 Lebel. It shoots an 8MM X 51R. It kicks like a 12 ga with bird shot in it. Not too bad at all. I try to stay away from the biggest booms due to spina injuries in the past. I'm kind of a whimp like that.
the only 10ga I've been able to find for reasonable prices are slugs, and i find them more comfortable out of my 36in 10ga than 3.5in 12ga turkey loads and i'm only 5'7 and 150lbs

I read a story about WW I or WW II, I can't remember, where some English big game hunters loaned the Army their 600 Nitro Express rifles because the normal guns they were issued wouldn't penetrate German armor, and the German snipers were behind armor and just piking the British off. The 600 Nitro Express went through the armor like it was butter. However, the first soldier who fired the gun from the prone position shattered his collar bone, and they started firing from a standing or kneeling position from that point forward.

I got ahold of a flintlock style .75 cal. pistol, owner asked if I want a full load or a half. My young and dumb a55 said "FULL LOAD". I hit what I was aiming at, and still have the mark where it's hammer struck me on the forehead. Was AWESOME.
