I tried the model below this and it was a pain in the ass to install and I could not get the router to handle the QOs. Returned it because the performance was no better than the old Netgear set up.

As long as you have coax coming to the house from the pole or underground box. The 3.1 spec is universal all companies comply with the standard. What internet package do you have at home better said what speeds are you paying for?
