Very helpful, thank you! I wasn't at all sure how to use this let alone a different DAW. But this one is so much easier and simpler. You made it look so easy and it is. I appreciate it! 🤙👍🙌
Maybe I'm in the wrong place. SountTrap was recommended to me, but all I need to do is combine a whole load of MP3 tracks into one large recording - it's for a dance set at an event. Just make sure the volumes are fairly consistent, and fade songs out, connect with the next song - simple stuff. Any ideas???
Hey John, thanks for that - what I gather is that you need to effectively stitch a number of songs together into one seamless track? You can do that in Soundtrap, and many get away with fading out one track as another fades in underneath - giving the idea that one replaces the other? Continue to add tracks like so, and you’ll get a product in no time - you won’t have any means of altering tempo to cater to clashing rhythms though
I'm in the same boat. Need a 6 hour set of music i have on my computer where i want to edit some songs and join them together. i would like to alter the tempo a bit though what program would you recommend for this?
This is one brilliant music making gear one thing that an old quack like me just cldnt resist getting some technology for frst thing I ever used was music maker jam . And I had some good fun using that but needed something bit more serous but easy to use aswell .My frst gig will be at the barrowlands playing a ten min set before viagra boys and Billy no mates . So young ones keep at it and dnt give up .peace , I’d Appleton cake walk etc etc is a big thing in the music game as you’ll know .but artists weather you beilieve it or not use these apps on songs that they get hundreds of thousands off pounds for .Yeagh lots off money instead off being split up like a cake . Lol
Hey JJ, I've just discovered Soundtrap. It looks great but i need to figure out how to cut and splice tracks and to change the tempo of one track without affecting the others. Is there a tutorial to teach me this?
@@JJRiordanMusic Wow Thank You so much! I really Appreciate that! It may be my internet connection..It’s unfortunate cause I really want to use the App
Hey sorry im not sure if im doing something wrong but im making music on. MacBook and whenever I try to right click to quantize it just adds more notes and doesn’t give me the option? Can anyone help😅
Hi JJ!! I love singing songs...now I just wanna try to make music..and this tutorial is so nice.... I wanna ask u one doubt..in the READING THE RULER part u are saying like u are switching to 4 4 time..can u explain what it is? I am just a beginner..hope u will help.
hey! it's in 4/4 as standard when you open a new project - but you can change it to another time signature by clicking on the cog (settings) - you can find alternate time sigs there, I believe :)
I’m 15 and at night I like to make songs there alright but I don’t she’s the voice for it I’m not sure how to change how I sound is there anyway you could help?
not entirely sure what you mean? are you hoping to process the voice for it to sound different? Re processing voice - compression, EQ and reverb are go-to effects that people use
Voice recordings have reverb dialled in as a default setting (no idea why!) - go into track settings - find reverb dial and roll it down to remove that effect
Hymns aren’t something I have tried before - do some research into the tried and tested criteria in hymns -chord progressions, lyrical content and take inspiration from there to start writing your own work
Great tutorial, JJ!

@@JJRiordanMusic yes, exactly. No need for altering tempo, just fade one song out & connect next song - all into one 4 hr track. Cheers

Noted! I have an upcoming series where I will address this!
Great video. How do we fix the latency using iPhone. It keeps being a bit delayed in my headphones
Avoid wireless / bluetooth connections - close any other apps that are open - use high speed internet connection :)
@@JJRiordanMusic Wow Thank You so much! I really Appreciate that! It may be my internet connection..It’s unfortunate cause I really want to use the App
So can you add your own instrument sounds? will it record with an interface?
If you have an interface plugged into your laptop / computer - there should eb an option to use it down by the play / record buttons - in the box!
Did you get your subscription notification sound effect from Don't Starve? Stands out so much if you've played the game
I didn't actually - must check it out :)

Hey that's bizarre - were you able to fix it?
You are on it JJ!!!! My source for soundtrap (spell check insists on sand trap . .. agh). info... thanks friend...jeff
Thanks for checking it out Jeff! Hope you're well ! :)

help, im on mobile and the piano roll option doesnt appear for me :(
Try changing your interface - Tablet or Laptops are much easier to use for production :)
how do you sustain the notes on the synthesizer?
hold down the key - add to the sustain and release envelopes on the synth, if they are available
tysm for the video. I appreciate it a lot but is soundtrap free?
It is! Sign up for a personal account and it’s free :)
There are some pay walls, but you can use the software for free :)
so there is no way to really sync this app with my other hardware gear ..... besides doing it manually ... right ? wow .. ok ..
if you using a lot of hardware / external gear, you can probably afford to jump into a paid DAW 🤣

I was recording straight from laptop but it put an ethereal effect over my voice, anyone got any advice??
Voice recordings have reverb dialled in as a default setting (no idea why!) - go into track settings - find reverb dial and roll it down to remove that effect
When I recored I’m on beat but wen I play it out loud I’m off beat help please
could be processing speeds or your internet / devices
Nudge the track into place by clicking and dragging - zoom in for more precise edits
Nobody seems to have mentioned... what platform is soundtrap on???
Literally the internet just search it up on any engine (google, bing, forefox) also if your asking who made it the program is by spotify
It’s online - totally accessible on any platform :)
Do you know if there is a way to add my own MIDI kit to Soundtrap?
It works in Google chrome via USB for me
I like the irish accent :D
sound!
@@JJRiordanMusic what county r u from?
is the interface of soundtrap is in-browser or separte as a software?
