Mabel’s prison is one of the most disturbing concepts I’ve seen in a cartoon. What could be a more terrifying prison than one that’s a depiction of escapism? Bill knew that all he needed to do was create a prison that preys on her naivety and desire to never have to grow up. He gave her the key to her own cell, but if she never feels a reason to leave because of how much more pleasant and certain everything is in here-in comparison to the stresses and fears of growing up during one’s teen years-then she could’ve kept herself in here for the rest of her life.
It is such a great design to keep I do think it would work on not an insignificant portion of the population without the other option being the apocalypse
I think the reason that the buff guys from Mableland were considered "real" is because they first showed up as a external creation from Bill in Dreamscaperers and are a genuine product of Mabel not Bill
Craz and Xyler appeared first in Legend of the Gobblewonker - they are the stars of a movie called "Dream Boy High" Mabel has a copy of, and it's on the floor shortly before her daydream of the human hamster ball, where she tells them they can look but not touch. They later show up in the real world in the Golf episode, where they work as EMTs. So, the Craz and Tyler we see at the end of Weirdmagedon may be the real people who acted in that movie and were forced into the roll of Mabel's imaginary versions of them during Weirdmagedon, rather than actually being figments from Mabel's imagination.
We actually saw a cranky Time Baby after he "reconstituted," in the "Time Travelers Pig" when Dipper & Mabel went into the far future and saw him destroying everything (and Mabel said "the future looks nice...").
Time baby ends up getting into a time loop where he tries to arrest Bill, gets killed, reconstitutes 1000 years later, takes over earth, rules for 200,000 years, then goes back in time to arrest Bill, and then the cycle starts over again.
I have a headcanon that Soos is actually a great fighter, having spent so much time around Stan, Mr. Brass-Knuckles. There's no way Soos DIDN'T learn to box from Stan.
@@WaryJester it's on the page were they go into his mind witch also has one of my favourite moments "Stan's bar mitzvah" were he wore goofy ass glasses to temple which is so fucking funny to me I love the journal so much
While Mabel did play a part in causing Wierdmageddon we have to remember that she knew nothing about the rift due to Ford telling Dipper not to tell anyone else about the rift (regarding Mabel this is in part due to him seeing her break a couple snow globes in the shop, and regarding Stan is due to him still being bitter about costing him West Coast Tech & bringing him back right before he was about to beat Bill). He only told Dipper due to seeing himself in him. Ultimately while Bill is the main culprit in causing Weirdmageddon, the Pines family's behavior leading up to it played a part in it as well. As for Dipper's door the basic idea early on was that it would show him going on many adventures with Ford, then seeing an older Mabel in high school without him and seeing the negative side of staying in GF. It was cut due to being too long and due to them deciding that the bubble couldn't show the bad side of getting what he desired, hence the fake Wendy instead. If you'd like to learn more then check out the official commentary track for the episode.

some trivia about the voice acting: 1) Jon Stewart voiced the judge Kitty Kitty Meow Meow Face-Shwarstein; Alex Hirsch was a big fan of the Daily Show and since Kristen Schaal (Mabel) and John Oliver (Wax Sherlock Holmes) were both correspondents, Gravity Falls was on Jon's radar and he was already a big fan. This might just be me...but throughout the series, I often found Dipper's desire to appear mature in the presence of others to be rather sad (if not cringe worthy.) I only say this because as the saying goes, age is PURELY a relative state of mind. It doesn't matter what NUMBER your age is, you should always be true to how old you feel in spirit. Look at Stan (Stanly,) he's way past his prime and still acts as goofy as he did when he was the Twins' age. Yet Dipper seems to think the moment he becomes a teenager, anything and everything about childhood needs to be wiped out from his life; as if there's some sort of law etched in stone that makes this binding. It only got worse when characters like Steven Universe, Wyldestyle from Lego Movie, Damien Wayne, Jazz Fenton and at one time, Lincoln Loud (before he realized his mistake) were making the same choice. Why does society hate childhood or child-like whimsy so much? Who says you can't carry that youthful spark with you when you're an adult
That’s exactly why Dipper learning his lesson is impt. Dipper learned to stop trying to act like an adult, and Mabel learned to be more self reliant and be less of a child. Both matured. In Dipper’s case, with some irony
@@ma.2089 That's the thing, the only time I thought Mabel acted childish was when she tried to make everything go her way...that and the moment where she thought stuff like High School Musical was an "accurate" take on what being a high school student was. Such examples include the visit to Dusk 2 Dawn, the Summerween adventure, the time where he refused Mabel's warning about becoming his own worst enemy and the puppet show. Just to elaborate; during the venture to the aforementioned Dusk 2 Dawn moment, Mabel was being true to herself and some of the teens found her antics amusing. I love that bill says it'd take a will of titanium to not give into it. Dipper has liked wendy ALL season 1 & 2 and still does. And he finally had the "chance" to be with her. But he's smart enough to break free & not give in
Infinity train is one series if you have not watched it. Also recommend Over the garden wall but wait until October for that since it's the perfect time to view it
Amazing reactions as always! If you guys want something to watch after owl house and Gravity Falls, i would Go with infinity train, it's such a good show, and it's easily on my top 5 favorites! It's a shame that It was cancelled after 4 Seasons, but what we got is already AMAZING! So yeah, you guys definitelly should give It a shot If you want, you won't regret it! PS: the edit is to fix a typo, sorry.
Two fun facts about this episode: 1) There was a deleted scene where Dipper straight up murdered Dippy Fresh on screen with a neck snap, but it was cut for being too dark. 2) The red grubs that Fake Wendy melted into are a real thing in the real world that really does almost that exact thing, albeit with bees instead of people. The larvae of _Meloe franciscanus,_ the bee-mimic blister beetle, gather together in bee-shaped clumps and release a chemical that smells like the mating pheromones of the female digger bee; when a male tries to mate with the clump, the grubs break apart and hitch a ride until he mates with a real female, at which point the grubs switch over to her, get carried back to her nest, and eat her eggs.
This reaction was amazing! If you guys need suggestions for what to react to next after finishing the finale, it would be amazing if you did amphibia or infinity train! -Amphibia has a lot of filler eps, but the finales and s2 and 3 make it worth it! (also the creator is friends with the creators of toh and gravity falls -And infinity train is overall just a bunch of rlly cool stories, it is amazing how they tell each of them
@@boardtoonsguy no need to be aggressive man- ty for telling me tho :] And I mean filler as in episodes that have no purpose besides building characters, season 1 only has a few lore/story related episodes (I did not mean it in an offensive way whatsoever, I love amphibia)
@@Poptailss I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be aggressive. It's just the word "filler" really triggers me. I don't believe in existence of fillers at all, since most eps in any show give interesting details abt the world and, as u said, pretty much all of them develop characters in some way. And what's the more important element of story then character development? U could have the most amazing plot, but without character development it'd be incredibly boring. Or the plot of ur show could literally be abt a guy working as an accountant in a tight office while fighting depression and with interesting character development (and good writing) the show will turn out great. Character development is a crucial part of any story and for that reason I believe in a good show no episode is skippable. And even if there's no direct character development in an episode, said episode will still check how character feels or what they do in the current moment of the story. Both incredibly important things. That's why I dislike the word "filler" so much. But once again, I'm sorry if I was rude, I'm just too flammable and I need to work on it.
@@boardtoonsguy yeah thats fair! Personally I love the "filler" eps because we get to see the characters (including side characters that we wouldn't have seen much of otherwise) grow. The season 2 finale wouldn't hit as hard without them. I just usually let the people know before watching it due to some not liking those kinds of episodes (usually older audiences) but I completely agree with you!
Infinity train is pretty great. Phineas and ferb isnt a serialized show but its a great little cartoon. Though infinity train is not a complete story so keep that in mind. It was cancelled for being too dark with the stories it told
I highly recommend watching "Over the Garden Wall! It's a 10-episode miniseries from cartoon Network 😆 the theme of the show has mystery like Gravity falls and a bit if spirited away kind of vibe. I also recommend watching this series on Halloween. I would love to see you guys react to it^^
"If you want to take Ford's apprenticeship, I won't get in your way." Too little, too late for that Mabel, you started the APOCALYPSE to stop it! Dipper's gonna have a full-time job keeping you in check after you're done with Bill.
She didn't know about the rift, because of Ford's advice to Dipper about not telling her. Also, the reason Bill has any presence in the world at all was because of Ford building the portal in the first place.
@@13emstr That does not change the fact that she tried to force Dipper into an never-ending summer by stealing from his backpack and entrusting Blendan, a man who cannot pull a tape measurer without burning his hair, with something from Ford's lab. Even if he wasn't possessed by Bill, Blendan probably still would've destroyed all of reality by accident trying to do that.
Why didn’t anybody think of just. Leaving gravity falls during weirdmagedion. His weirdness can only spread to gravity falls and nothing more. So why wouldn’t everyone just leave as soon as it happened . Before everyone turned into stone. Just flee from gravity falls. Even if they didn’t know if anything spread or not. Bill seems to only stay in gravity falls for now. Plus it would be safer to hide in larger structures
3:49 yeah I have no idea why he even considered doing that It's like...why didnt Dipper go with Ford downstairs and fix the rift then come upstairs to have the thing aw Body T 19:09 pfft I had the same thought
These episodes are definitely kinda disturbing, not in a traumatising way but more of a Is this still a kids show? way, the finale is definitely a lot but it makes sense with how much build up they’ve been doing

Technically you have one episode left. There are 20 episodes in both seasons. It's just that streaming services like to devide double length episodes into a 2 parter.
THIS is the episode where A LOT of people turned on Mabel. The fact that she considers her brother unsupportive to the point where she made a "BETTER DIPPER" was such a huge betrayal to a lot of her fans. I mean we can understand to an extent because she is a kid but it's still pretty awful of her.
@@arieanne3507 Waddles was an accident and wasn't replacing his sister, and Ford is their Uncle who offered him an education and an optional path. I admit Waddles was a stories, but thier personalities were honest in those stories. Or maybe Stan was picturing Dipper as Ford based on his own situation. It was still foreshadowing..
@@arieanne3507 Yes but the difference is huge, Dipper and Mabel had each other and friends outside of their sibling friendship, Dipper never made it a point to replace his sister with a clone when things didn't go his way. And again i know Mable is a child and she probably didn't see it as that bad but to rub it in Dippers face she replaced him is the big betrayal.
I'd think Amphibia, Ducktales, or even Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated would be better successors to Gravity Falls, and Steven Universe would be better as a successor to The Owl House. Either way Im pretty sure they already have Amphibia lined up after Gravity Falls.

I participated a little;) Fans have made a timeline of the hunt's progress, just search it up on TH-cam - th-cam.com/video/19beAwdWjbw/w-d-xo.html.
Take a look at those for sure!
Before you start the final episodes next video, you should react to “Bill Cipher Has A Gun” there are a ton of great animatics of it.
13:27 idk how I never noticed, but this is just that one he man meme.
@3:08 nobody ever notices the psychologist crushed and dead in the background
The bros have witnessed the Weird-mageddon! Pulling out the stops and it's no longer a kid's show lol! I can't wait for the finale! (I will, but still)
Yall should check out Steven Universe, it has all the anime references you could want!
And an awesome story in my opinion.
Time baby comes back in 1000 years and the end of the world is in 3012 in gravity falls
Those radical colourful dudes are always such a delight
It’s not anime, but Chowder, and The Amazing World of Gumball are pretty good. The humor and writing of these shows is right up your alley.
0:55 ah yes, the moment that scarred me as a 12 year old child, not the first time I got scarred but hey it did the trick.
I love that bill says it'd take a will of titanium to not give into it. Dipper has liked wendy ALL season 1 & 2 and still does. And he finally had the "chance" to be with her. But he's smart enough to break free & not give in
Originally Dipper was going to violently snap Dippy Fresh’s neck, but Disney said no. You can still find the storyboard of it on TH-cam.
24:48 Well, staying on Disney's page, the new "Duck Tales" reboot was also great :J
I wish Disney let them keep the scene where dipper snaps dippy fresh's neck
Infinity train is one series if you have not watched it. Also recommend Over the garden wall but wait until October for that since it's the perfect time to view it
Yes to infinity train, but also hooray to over the garden wall! I don't think anyone recommended it yet.
I feel like the reason behind why the border to keep bill there is probably because of other unicorns mixing theyre hair in random crap
Infinity train is awesome and 1 of the most unique series I've ever seen.
They said in yesterday’s livestream that they’ll probably do Infinity Train after they finish The Owl House!
@@sarahmorris4575For real?! Now i'm hyped!
Thanks for sharing that, i didn't watch the livestream.
@@sarahmorris4575 oh, that's amazing! Thanks for saying this.
@@GuiDubs no problem!!
Two fun facts about this episode:
1) There was a deleted scene where Dipper straight up murdered Dippy Fresh on screen with a neck snap, but it was cut for being too dark.
You guys are in for such an epic final battle next episode.
You guys should watch the 2017 Ducktales!
This reaction was amazing! If you guys need suggestions for what to react to next after finishing the finale, it would be amazing if you did amphibia or infinity train!
-Amphibia has a lot of filler eps, but the finales and s2 and 3 make it worth it! (also the creator is friends with the creators of toh and gravity falls
-And infinity train is overall just a bunch of rlly cool stories, it is amazing how they tell each of them
First of all, they're already watching amphibia at this point. It's just not on youtube yet. Second of all, Amphibia has no filler in my opinion.
@@boardtoonsguy Also do you know where to watch their reactions to amphibia? I looked on twitch but the streams are already gone
Mabel's world is basically the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
Time flies so fast
If you saw ghost-eyes he has orange hair just like wendy so that means ghost-eyes is related to wendy.
I would love to see you guys react to it^^
next you should watch "bofuri" ( full name : "Itai no wa Iya nano de Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu") and "wakfu"
If I was dipper I would tell Mabel that no matter what you try to dream up, grunkel Stan needs us
"If you want to take Ford's apprenticeship, I won't get in your way."
Too little, too late for that Mabel, you started the APOCALYPSE to stop it!
You should watch Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. after Gravity Falls, you would love it!!
Did you guys ever watched Over the garden wall?
If their answer is no, then they should.
3:49 yeah I have no idea why he even considered doing that
It's like...why didnt Dipper go with Ford downstairs and fix the rift then come upstairs to have the thing
aw Body T
19:09 pfft I had the same thought
These episodes are definitely kinda disturbing, not in a traumatising way but more of a Is this still a kids show? way, the finale is definitely a lot but it makes sense with how much build up they’ve been doing
0:34 actually bill is a Loki, Simpson did a collab
Try to pin Bill up against ANYONE in fiction outside the Gravity Falls universe. I dare you.
Series recs:
Castlevania
Infinity Train
The dragon prince
Kipo
Sheera
Kipo and the age of wonderbeasts is a solid series
Another great show to watch would be Infinity Train. It’s 4 seasons of 10 episodes each. Absolutely loved it
Fun fact: the original voice actor of the head arm creature was a child predator. Creepy hearing him say his lines after.
SHE DIDNT CAUSE WEIRDMAGEDDON. SHE WAS TRICKED BY BILL LIKE FORD AND DIPPER WAS.
IT WAS ALSO FORDS AND DIPPERS FORD FOR NOT TELLING HER ABOUT THE RIFT!
this is just bills fault, defending my home girl since 2015
DUCKTALES: AWOO OOO
3:09 did no one notice the security guard got crushed and died?
So is no one gunna point out the baby invasion in the time travelers pig episode.
Dipper created a better Mabel with Waddles and then with Ford...sooo...
@@arieanne3507 Waddles was an accident and wasn't replacing his sister, and Ford is their Uncle who offered him an education and an optional path. Mabel after all the support Dipper his given her over the series MADE "Better Dipper" or Dippy Fresh as a refusal to accept any change that was coming after summer.
@@decusq Mabel wanter Dipper. Dipper wanted a partner to do mysteries with. Dipper did decide to replace Mabel when he got a better fit. How he felt about Mabel as a partner was basically said by him in regards to Soos. She was too childish..didn't take things seriously enough.
Dam it couldn't you do 4parter?
Bill is my dnd patron lol
Also I've said it before and I'll say again, Wendy is fucking badass af
All the other reccomendations are great, but She-Ra and the Princesses of Power doesn’t get enough love some I’m nominating it myself.
She-ra is great! Thanks for recommending it.
I want them to react to "Kill la Kill" so badly
You guys should absolutely watch Infinity Train
We missed out on a great villain song.
Wendy is indeed a badass
When this series is done I recommend Steven Universe
I'd think Amphibia, Ducktales, or even Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated would be better successors to Gravity Falls, and Steven Universe would be better as a successor to The Owl House. Either way Im pretty sure they already have Amphibia lined up after Gravity Falls.
Steven Universe is great!
🫵😂
I’d like to suggest you guys react to the show “Once Upon A Time.” I think you would enjoy the twists on classic fairytales.
Please tell me you guys found the deleted Bill song after watching the show
you three should really try watching Summer Time Render
You should watch Centaurworld
They absolutely should
Agreed.
You should check out and Fibia just as much funny a lot of plot at the end of season two and three a lot of tears 😭
I would love to see you react to Steven universe ✨
Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated
