I didn't see the original list, so when I was watching this video and I heard him say he could maybe put the Bengals at 7 instead of the browns I literally had to stop what I was doing. In what dream world would you have the browns on a power rankings at 7 and the Bengals not even on the list. Absolutely ridiculous and has to be just for straight up attention. Which he got it from me because that's extreme nonsense
As a bengals fan, obviously I do think we should be top 10.. but I do still have some questions as we go into the year. I’m not worried about Mixon leaving that much, more about the defense.. our young secondary’s improvements and replacing DJ Reader (by rotation)

bengals had a top 3 offseason across the league. they got younger, faster, and more explosive (and cheaper).. they also nailed the draft. cincy will never sign aging free agent talents to blockbuster deals that the sports media loves to cover, which is why it's off rich's radar.
You don't know how good any team's offseason was until they start playing games.

Based off of what? Browns had 5 starters last year and led league in injured starters. Burrow has to prove his wrist in okay and won't hinder him let alone another injury. Bengals have not proven they can make playoffs without Burrow.

Until Mr. Burrow makes it through a preseason, and entire season for that matter, I think holding an ounce of skepticism is warranted. 2024 will be a telling year and I can’t wait to see what happens👍

Give the the facts Rich. When the Bengals went to the SB, experts had them finishing last in the AFC North. One prognostic had them finishing at 5-12.

to be fair they're still being gassed up over their one playoff win against Pat over 3 years ago, I said last year before the season they were missing the playoffs, same this year. And if you want to be above the browns, try beating them... Rich has them ranked correctly, not top 10.

Last year was just a disaster from the start with burrow getting hurt in training camp, burrow finally gets healthy in the middle of the season and he beats the 49ers, bills, loses to Stroud, has a lead in Baltimore when he gets his season ending injury, back up QB takes over and goes 4-3 (KC struggles to beat him in KC)... Bengals finish with a winning record...
Then they have an off season and draft, that on paper, is a team way better than their Superbowl team and their second AFC championship team.
They are better and have depth at every position. No way they miss the playoffs this year. Even if burrow gets hurt. Browning was a better QB than burrow last year in, BOTH, hitting targets in a clean pocket and hitting targets under pressure.

The Bengals have the easiest schedule in the AFC North due to their 4th place finish. This should help their chances of winning if Burrow can stay healthy. However, they still have 6 games with AFC North rivals. I will remind Bengals fans: ZacTaylor is 2 and 6 versus the Browns. Their victory over the Browns in the finale of 2023 was against the B team, as Stefanski rested the starters. As always, injuries will determine who wins the AFC North.
Im a Steelers fan and Dolphins fan fan. Bengals will have their day (or year).

Power rankings are during the season when this team beats that team, but lost to this team & all of that stuff.
I always viewed it as taking the old school college football approach and applying it to the NFL.
Cincy can't even get past Lamar Jackson or Cleveland. They're 3rd best in the AFC North

Perhaps the loss of the OC in Cincinnati and the DC in Baltimore will play a bigger factor. Neither Russell Wilson nor deshaun Watson return to how they looked in years past, and the diviosn we all predict to be the best will become the new nfc south 😂

Burrow has missed half a season in the last 3 years. that is 17% of his games. We all know what he did the other 83 percent of the time. He will be fine and is about to remind people this year. Played more games than lamar did in his first 4 years btw. And you dont have people talking about lamar being injured anymore

Obviously there are questions surrounding the Bengals going into the year, Joe's health, Tee's Contract, the loss of the OC, but the team still finished the year with a winning record and barely missed the playoffs with Jake Browning leading the offense, the secondary is a young unit led by veterans Vonn Bell and Mike Hilton and needs to take the next step up, can the O-line stay healthy and give Joe the protection he needs, who is going to step up and be the number 3 receiver now that TB is gone, which TE is going to step into the number 1 role this year? As a Bengals fan, I have questions regarding our team as well and I don't hate that the team wasn't in the top 10 but that doesn't mean we don't have top 10 potential.

I get your optimism, but Caleb hasn't even taken an NFL snap yet. To be a top 10 team, the Bears will have to be a 5th seed or better in the NFC. I don't see them beating the Lions in the division. The question is whether they can pass the Packers.
