Ive had the two camera setup for about 5-6 months and it would disconnect randomly. Then one day it wouldn't re-connect so I had to unplug the cameras for a few minutes and then it re-connected. But now your turn it on and it just says no baby unit is paired... No menu options im pretty ticked off about it. I really liked this setup and it turned out to be a POS. The ir lights go dim after like a minute too which was kinda irritating if you hear something and look at the monitor and its almost black and your have to click on it for the ir lights to light up again.
I bought this camera a couple of days ago and I love it. I believe they fixed the battery life issue bc I can have mine unplugged for hours. I really wish you could use 2 cameras with this even if you had to buy one separately. 7in monitor is awesome. After reading some of the comments I’m now worried it will stop working after a few months. So far so good! Keeping my fingers crossed.
It's good at first but had to replace the old one we had because after a while it stopped working and now it doesn't work for mobile viewing. For some reason it just will stop working and doesn't respond to anything. It even at first would follow movements and that also stopped working. The camera keeps malfunctioning but did like it when it worked properly. Unfortunately you have to have it for a bit to truly know like I did.
Hey there thanks for this video! I have a question about the nighttime mode, when you activate it to see your little one does it make a clicking noise turning on the camera? We invested in blink minis and indoor/outdoor cams and they’re great but at night when we turn In the camera to see our baby the camera makes a clickin noise and red led light u can’t turn off. Now we can deal with the little red light but that clicking wakes our up lol trying to find a baby can with no clicks 😅 thanks!
Were you able to connect more than one phone to yours at a time? My wife and i planned to both have the app on our phone, but we are finding that only one person can be linked to the camera at a time. Also if your loosing connection, it might be your wifi signal. A phone and laptop are forgeving with a patchy signal, but this camera might not be.
I know the manufacture says you can connect more then one, we only tried having the monitor and my phone connected. We didn't try connecting 3 or 4 devices at the same time. And it could be. But I'd be very surprised since other monitors we've tried haven't had the same issues. I'll have to try moving the box if that pops up for another monitor.
Wood you download to a cloud do it work w/ a Android phone with Wi-Fi or without Wi-Fi this is my question thank you for your help answering a question
I have had a vtetch 7” baby monitor (RM7764HD) for almost 2- 1/2 yrs and it’s worked fine until now. The online Tech support’s suggestions are not helping me to get this to work. I tried the reset button in the back, rebooted both the camera and the monitor but it won’t stay on but for just a few seconds. Any suggestions?
Question… can you also hear everything? Or is it just the camera, for example if they cry… I know it’ll tell you if they move too much but I was wondering if you’re able to hear them
That’s a tough one. Yes and no. Most of them have the same mounting style. And putting them on top of the dresser isn’t the best. I always had to put a book or towel to angle them more.
Is there any other monitor that you would recommend more than this one and without the connectivity issues? I am looking for a monitor with and without WiFi and ability to hook up two cameras to be able to wacth two babies in a separate rooms. Thanks :)
Hi HerZika1! So I did some looking, and I haven't tested or reviewed any, but it might be worth looking into: Babysense 5" HD split-screen baby monitor, it has two cameras and one monitor. Owlet Cam 2 pack smart baby monitor. you can view the cameras on your phone. and the VTech VM3261-2, monitor is a little small for my liking, but the reviews are really good. All of these are highly rated monitors and not too expensive. I haven't reviewed them in-depth, but I might want to later on. I hope this helps even a little!
Don't buy it. Not worth it at all. Stops working after a while. The camera to monitor connectivity starts to play up. BT make the best ones I think as it was my first monitor and lasted over 3 years and the charging port starting to become loose. Had the v tech for about 3 to 4 months and starts acting up.
Was great for a few months. Not it disconnects and overall works maybe 40% of the time. Also the battery life is TERRIBLE after just a few weeks you can’t keep it off the charger for more than maybe 30 minutes. But that seems to be the complaint for all of them. Baby monitors are all over priced junk.
I use it as an outdoor cam n even in rain works welll 😂 i like i can see my front n back house and its on live view display i can turn the cam with my phone up down almost 360 and i can talk back n forth way better then regular home cams so yeah i use baby monitors to monitor my home while i step out
They work for only 3 months then start acting up battery not holding and WiFi will go off and on then it will not zoom in or turn right or left I’m on my 3rd one wast of money
We’ve been using the rm5766hd and it’s absolutely horrible. I’m constantly reconnecting it to WiFi every hour, so that’s always fun sneaking around your kids room at 1am because the monitor dropped connection for the 10th time today. I spend more time reconnecting it to WiFi than my wife does breast feeding lol Save yourself a headache and don’t buy ANYTHING vtech baby related. Absolutely useless.
Don’t waste your money on this monitor 1 month in and no battery life on the hand held and will not stay connected even if you are right next to the camera!
The worst monitor! My first had horrible battery life and connectivity so they send me a new one. New one has same issues! I have a small house and it still won’t connect for more than 10 minutes at a time. I advise not to buy this one
Thank you for this review. White noise cancellation is a key feature for us and you confirmed it doesn't.
Glad i could help!
I bought HelloBaby HB6550, picture quality not so good, but enough. I love it, The price is so great, less than 100! You can use 2 cameras too!

What did you do? Same problem with me

Any updates on the camera lasting?
Hope it's still working well!
Does the camera still work 2 years later?

after 2 mouths my vtech cannot connect to the camera how i can pair monitor with camera ?
Thank you so much for reviewing the camera, super informative & helpful!
Thanks for watching! I’m glad it was helpful!

Are you able to use the device effectively without wifi? I live on rural property and don't have WiFi.
Well honestly we had some issues using it without WiFi, but the company does say you can. It just kept disconnecting for us if it wasn’t on WiFi.
Hi, I have been using this product for 2 months and it won’t power on anymore. Has anyone else experienced this?
Wood you download to a cloud do it work w/ a Android phone with Wi-Fi or without Wi-Fi this is my question thank you for your help answering a question
Android yes
Great info, but will it work without the internet?
Yes it will. Once of the reasons we got this one was to avoid Wifi and Internet
@@alexanderthetechdad Ok, thanks very much.
Does anyone know if it records ? Or just shows a live feed ? Like I want to be able to see what went on throughout the night.

Yes! :) We found that the camera picks up all the noise in the room so you can hear them if they cry or just fuss. Hope that helps!
I see you have the infant optics camera also. What are your thoughts on it?
Infant optics is a great camera!
I have lost my parent model how can I connect it to my phone? The camera will not read the QR code
In your opinion are these cameras better mounted or better on top of a dresser
That’s a tough one. Yes and no. Most of them have the same mounting style. And putting them on top of the dresser isn’t the best. I always had to put a book or towel to angle them more.
Hi I have this device. But the monitor is not working, anyone knows if I can connect it to the Google nest to use as a monitor
can i put this un my car use it as a car cam
unfortunately it does not record
What's the name of app on Android market

Thank you, I was sold on this until
you mentioned the connectivity issues. Thank you for saving me a headache!!
Happy I could help! Honestly a really great monitor, its just that connection kept dropping.

Mine lasted a day before it got stuck in pairing mode 😩 now idk what one to get lol
Thanks for the very through video helped alot.
Thanks for watching! Glad it was helpful! 😁
The first camera died so I bought a new one on eBay but then figured out that it can’t connect to a different camera??? Is this right?

My monitor will not charge? I reset it... is it just dead?
Does anyone think the sound quality is bad? I have the volume on all bars selected and I have to hold the monitor to my ear??!
This cámara record everything, and I would like to know the price ❓
It was $149 Canadian last I check. How that’s helpful.
Do I need a monitor or could I use my phone
Both
Hell no. These only lasted us 2-3 months each and had to be replaced. After two failing back to back we went with another brand
Please talk about the app
CAN IT BE RECORD
sadly no

I appreciate this. Because I didn't know if the camera was able to be moved or if the camera was stationary in the cover mount/stand.
They work for only 3 months then start acting up battery not holding and WiFi will go off and on then it will not zoom in or turn right or left I’m on my 3rd one wast of money
Bought this model. Monitor doesn’t turn on anymore after 4 months use. Waiting for my warranty replacement from vtech
Same here!!
@@mathilde6041 I received the replacement here in Toronto 2weeks ago . Let’s see how long it lasts.
My batter wont charge after 6 months

I'm so frustrated with this product....Has never worked...and no response from customer service.
so sorry to hear that
The naming conventions are annoying. C’mon VTec
completely agree
