- Facebook Marketplace is an absolute treasure! Not only can you find really cheap items on FB Marketplace but you can sell anything on FB Marketplace. It is an amazing place to sell because of it being free and how many users there are on Facebook. I have found that selling more on FB marketplace, and faster, comes down to taking better pictures! I have increased my success on FB Marketplace by utilizing good light and a finding cleaner backdrop for my marketplace listings. I sell furniture mostly on FB Marketplace and have found enormous success selling over $9,000 worth of refinished, refurbished, and flipped furniture since Fall of 2020! One thing I’ve noticed about your photos that I think is very effective is that you lower your camera so the piece is straight-on. It captures the size/scale of the item well, and doesn’t distort the shape of the piece.
I busted up when you showed the chair in front of the garbage can... looked like it was getting ready to go out with the big trash day pick up...LOL I have a clothing rack on wheels that comes in handy with company.... when I'm placing items on Market place I remove the hangers and throw a white sheet over it...... I go as far as steaming the wrinkles out of the sheet to make a nice back drop. Just like you said with a neutral back ground the true color of the item comes thru. And when I'm needing more light I get my Halogen work light :)

I regularly sell on FB marketplace (through the website on my phone, I don't have the app). I had no idea how many features I was missing out on by not using the app! Really appreciate the video, will be sure to use the app moving forward as I'm sure it'll boost my sales.

Perfect breakdown and step by step clear instructions! ... you listed as pet free and smoke free though and technically you just got them so you honestly don't know the history. I'm also a reseller and have been for almost 15 years. I let people know that the items didn't originally come from my home but that my home is smoke free and pet friendly. You never know what could come from a situation... just speaking from experience with situations because of this exact reason.

I post all my parents pieces on marketplace and probably sell about 95% on there and the rest on offer up/their booth. Like you mention in a comment , many scammers on offer up so I’m always skeptical when they send a message. Great tips!

First this was great, you and Christina Muscari are the only seller who took the time to do this. Thank you. Question you have people come to your home to pick items up, so do you put that address in?
I do have them come to my house. I DO NOT put the address on the post. I only give the address when I have set a time and date for the person to come. Even then I generally wait until a couple hours before so I can make sure I’m home and everything is ready.

Even though I'm thousands miles away the information is relevant... one thing I have never heard anyone mention in videos that I watch are the tax implications when selling on furniture .. maybe you might comment, although I'm sure it probably varies from state to state... thanks again for a great video..

I have them come to my house! I always make sure to have someone else home and we have a ring doorbell

Just a little too for you. For Your tags you don't want to tag side tables just gold, or black, because that's the terms that will come up. You'll get jewelery and paint and all sorts of things with those tags.
Try gold side tables, side tables gold, endtablesgold, you get the drift. Much better results using very good tags.
You can use a tag generator like rapid tags.
When I put "gold side tables" rapid tags came back with this list

In my district it also pays for me to tag the name of the room e.g. bedroom, if I'm selling a clothes drawer, or vanity dresser, because that's how peeps in our area tend to search.

We just listed our first piece on my husband's FB account. We're wondering about boosting it but can't get the option to come up as it keeps saying you have to have an item available or in stock. It shows there is 1 in stock. Very confused! What are your thoughts on boosting items and do you know what we're doing wrong with the inability to get past the error? I have noticed a massive drop in views, but I'm also relatively new to selling. Wondering if you're seeing the same issue and what you are doing to remedy it?

Nope! No fees! We have a few lights that Neiman has had from his photography.
