Honestly I think maybe a remaster of the first two would be okay. But I want The 3rd Birthday completely remade. I loved the game and cherish it for what it is. But the story just made absolutely no sense lol

I was around 4 or 5 and I remember watching my mom play this. Absolutely terrified me. Especially seeing the creature run off from approching the phone in the room with all the dead SWAT. Played it when I was like 16, amazing game.

The real problem is that they hadn't a clear vision for these games,you can see how different all 3 of them are and how only Parasite Eve 1 prevail on many aspects compared to his sequels. For how much I like Parasite Eve 2,I admit that after the Mojave Desert it drops in quality a lot and it's not as the same level as PE1 (especially the story) but then with Parasite Eve 3 they did even worse.I just wish for a glorious comeback one day,it deserve that but this SquareEnix doesn't care at all.

I liked the idea of where PE 2 was going. Aya being like Eve but using her powers for good in an organization (MIST) to fight neo mitochondrial creatures. Creatures formed from incarnations of Eve. Kinda like the original storyline of Castlevania where the Belmont clan keeps hunting Dracula. Everytime Aya kills one Eve, another pops up somewhere. But adapts with a new plan on how to destroy humanity.
At what point do you just say “Yupp, too late for them.” And shoots the monster? Last thing I’d be doing in this situation is wait and see what happens
SquareSoft at the time had one of the best (not sure if THE BEST) CGI quality we ever had on past generation games,Final Fantasy 8 also had incredible CGI.They were hands down incredible developers,with Final Fantasy 10 they peaked before becoming SquareEnix.

I remember reading about his scene in an old gaming magazine my cousin had. It scared the fuck out of me, but now i love it and all the other PE transformations. I used to be a huge fan of Eve from the first game 😂
I also saw this scene from an old magazine,it was the same magazine that I think also had Martian Gothic on it which looked cool but after playing YEARS AND YEARS later I discovered it was a very average PS1 game xD Such good memories,I will soon definitely replay Parasite Eve 1 aswell and perhaps post something about it.
A remake of PE 1 would be incredible. They would need to keep the fixed camera angles and literally everything else. Up the graphics like they did for the RE2 remake, keep the RPG battles and style all the same. I think it should also be voiceless on screen dialogue. Maybe have a little more of an interactive environment... I could see a HUGE comeback for a game of this caliber.
I want a remake too or a comeback in general but the hope of having that same feeling with fixed camera angles,RPG battles the same way and voiceless dialogs is kind of an impossible dream. At that point is better just a Remaster that you can make yourself already using enhancements on PS1 emulators like Duckstation,RE2 Remake itself (and most of the remakes) modernized the classic,not only graphics,without that PS1-era feeling.Other than that,this Square Enix proved that they don't care about this franchise and that they lost a lof ot their touch but hopefully someone one day will bring this franchise back.

I got it too on PS3 and that's where I finished it, I think it was in 2020. I enjoyed the full experience but from the lab part moving on it's mostly boring and annoying more than horror and intense (in my opinion).
I'm playing the first one right now! I'll have to play the second one next! I can't get past the garbage monster though. My mom used to play it for my sister and I as kids 😅 This was one of the times she told us not to look. Got it for my sis for Christmas this year!

Basically in PE1 a monster called Eve turned a bunch of animals into monsters by altering their mitochondria (dont ask) In PE2 a company was then offering very rich people the chance to 'evolve' themselves in the same way. So pretty much every PE2 monster is some rich idiot who thought becoming a monster sounded like a good idea, or one of the test subjects used to develop that procedure

Parasite Eve 1,for me,had a better story but also a better gameplay which was unique on its own and more RPG,also I hate the extreme backtracking of PE2 and since the lab section it drop in quality for me but I still really like it. I've not seen the movie but I remember that I saw the poster somewhere on the web and I think it was a japanese movie.Parasite Eve games are based on a novel (that's why Parasite Eve 3 is called "3rd Birthday" because they lost the copyrights) so I think the movie is also based on that,not on the games.I should give it a look one day.
No problem :) Yeah there is a third game called "3rd Birthday" but it's considered the worst in the franchise.It's on PSP (so you might have to go with the PPSSPP emulator if you don't own a PSP),I played it for a bit and despite it's not that bad it's definitely a game that didn't hit me as the first 2 games.
I said "ONE of the most", didn't say anything like that because there is worse in gaming's history. Anyway, it was (especially for the era) and Parasite Eve was made of stuff like this especially Parasite Eve 1.It's in the list of one of the creepiest stuff you could find on a PS1 title this well done,seeing a woman's body turning like that with that good CGI was a good cinematic for the era.
Scorn is pretty eerie, some cutscenes are of parasites digging into your guts and pulling them out, making more space for the parasite to transform the main character.

Yeah there is a third game called "3rd Birthday" but it's considered the worst in the franchise.It's on PSP (so you might have to go with the PPSSPP emulator if you don't own a PSP),I played it for a bit and despite it's not that bad it's definitely a game that didn't hit me as the first 2 games.

Anyway, it was (especially for the era) and Parasite Eve was made of stuff like this especially Parasite Eve 1.It's in the list of one of the creepiest stuff you could find on a PS1 title this well done,seeing a woman's body turning like that with that good CGI was a good cinematic for the era.
Scorn is pretty eerie, some cutscenes are of parasites digging into your guts and pulling them out, making more space for the parasite to transform the main character.
Damn, the girl was actually cute.
