I do EICRs of mostly schools and offices every day and find the Vessel Electric drivers to be the best for EICR work. They are ball end screwdriver shape, so take a second to get used to but are 100x more ergonomic and much nicer to use than the bosch go imo. I run 2 of them as my main drivers every day and only really need to use my normal drivers for stuff inside boards etc. Vessel 220USBS1U (1200 rpm and 0.4nm of torque) is amazing for faceplates etc, is an absolute game changer. Has loads of speed but 0% chance of stripping screws so no need to worry about snapping screws, faceplates, terminals etc. Vessel 220USB-P1 (up tp 480rpm and 2nm) is perfect as an all rounder. You aint gonna driver wood screws with it but its perfect for every day use. Both can be had off amazon japan for about 25-30 including shipping.
Hey thanks for the lead. I just checked Amazon Japan but prices are too high, about the same if I get it from Amazon Canada. They sell it about 40 Canadian and almost the same for shipping!
Use mine everyday generally for Eicr's, second fixing and even taking apart panels. Perfect when used correctly! Setting 1 on the clutch is perfect for fixing back covers and accessories without applying too much pressure. Only thing missing from this overview is probably the biggest feature of the Bosch Go and that the bit end is pressure sensitive, meaning you only need to lightly push into the screw and it'll automatically engage without hitting the button. My only issue I have with the screwdriver though is the button itself is too sensitive, I often find myself barely catching it and the thing starts driving, even whilst in the tool pouch of my work trousers. Biggest pro for the driver, absolutely essential on Eicr's when taking the cooker switch off, after someone before has absolutely mullered the screw and lug from cross threading 🤦 Overall, fantastic bit of kit, when used correctly! Definitely saved my hands from cramping after all the eicr work I do!
I broke my wrist some weeks ago, and then decided to get one. Have been using it for some weeks now and really helps a lot, even after my wrist is recovered I will continue to use it I think. First I did not know it would activate when one puts pressure on the screw, but even that feature is helpful. It is also very light and the battery life is quite ok. Thanks for also reviewing it Jordan!
Heads up lads. The Bosch Go 3 has been released recently, with a few upgrades. Type C charging, a light on the front, an upgraded chuck with a collar that you pull up to release. You can find them Ali for about 50us
Since you didn't read the manual Jordan, you also didn't discover that you don't even need to press the button to make it turn. It starts turning automatically when you press down on a screw.
I had the same model. Could not get on with it. Felt a bit bulky and awkward to use. To powerful for electrical cowerplates, even on the lowest torq. setting.
Use Max for drilling and set the torque halfway between the small screw symbol and the larger one which will cover most tasks. I actually removed the power button on mine and find it so much easier to control.
btw as an alternative to this bosch screwdriver the makita xfd11 has a superbly fine and delicate clutch which can do very low levels of torque, and with 22 settings on clutch (vs only 5 on the bosch here?). it is also a properl drill too... so more broadly useful as 1 single lightweight tool you might carry everywhere with you. seems like a pretty good alternative to this thing if you are prepared to spend a bit more money. recently got one off ebay last week from draculeze seller. in fact i dare you to a-b test them both against each other! head to head them on some real jobs and see for yourself which one you end up preferring to take with you. hee hee
@@dreamcat4 also dewalts 10.8 volt driver is fantastic with its 15 torque setting, lightweight, a single 2 amp battery will last over a week second fixing
This looks like those 2.4v screwdrivers from the 80s/90's - can't see how they're any more modern? Maybe a little smaller. I have learnt how to use an impact driver do this this job which is one less tool needed.
Once I got the hang of using my Milwaukee m12 impact it was hard to get on with using this 🤷🏻♂️although some people who use the 12v impacts go to fast a crack faceplates but when you get the hang of it I think the 10.8/12v impacts are miles better.. especially coming from doing 2nd fix on price 🤩
After watching this I'd say a Dewalt DCF680 is a better tool than the Bosch. We been using 2 of the Dewalts in the plant I work at to install M3 x 3mm screws for about year now. Until using it I figured the "Gyroscopic" feature was marketing wank but the motion activation variable speed and reversing is a must have if you're installing machine screws. Battery goes dead just pop in a fresh 8V battery.
The replaceable battery is a huge advantage, but I hate the gyroscopic feature. It is a personal preference. Also, this doesn't have the torque of an 8V driver. I guess this is more for domestic general-purpose use cases as you need a replaceable battery for work.
You had it actually almost! Sicher-heidS hinweis (sicher means secure) hinweis means sort of manual. How to do it safe. :-) greetings and enjoy your Boschhhhh!
Love your reviews but think you made this look like a load of rubbish .. I have the older model and it’s great for putting the odd inch or so screw but I wouldn’t dream of using near any electrical accessory unless I was doing a rip out . Keep up the good work Jordon , love your enthusiasm.
Not designed by somebody who uses a screw driver for their living. Ergonomically KRAP. Fwd / Rev switch arrangement slows the job. Torque settings aren't numbered. Did you notice that removing a bit was difficult, not enough grip to pull it out. Retaining magnet was good and strong but needs an ejector mechanism. Also the bit box was a struggle. So not living up to the original founder of Bosch's good design principles.
I agree with the comment on the magnetic bit holder. At this price point, it should come with a one hand quick connect that locks the bit in the holder and releases with the push of your thumb.
I got fired from an electrical company because I religiously used an impact driver set on slow speed and low torque to do all my screwdriver work. Oh well, fuck them.
Great review. I've already got one. I won it on Plumberparts' channel. You can also use the bits without the bit holder. The first thing I did was remove the annoying swivel hanger from the bit set.
interesting tool when you have rooms full of dado 100+ sockets you want to second fix on price these tools look like they would save your wrist no one wants a repetitive strain injury.

How u broke your wrist?
i press the middle button it start spin, i let go my finger, it still spinning. sometimes it takes 2second to stop. is it normal?
I use the black and decker screwdriver, which I've had for over fifteen years and still works well.
Heads up lads. The Bosch Go 3 has been released recently, with a few upgrades. Type C charging, a light on the front, an upgraded chuck with a collar that you pull up to release. You can find them Ali for about 50us
it still doesn’t have slow option

Can you tell me what equipment you use for overhead shots?
I had the same model. Could not get on with it. Felt a bit bulky and awkward to use. To powerful for electrical cowerplates, even on the lowest torq. setting.
they need to move the power button higher on the tool , way it's designed you have to hold the end of the tool!
You can just put pressure onto a screw and it'll start up automatically
Use Max for drilling and set the torque halfway between the small screw symbol and the larger one which will cover most tasks.

trust me usb c is a bad move as people will steal your cable to charge their phones
lol
i am still waiting for felo to release their 1000v vde certified bits. but they still havent come out yet

Tried one, couldn't get on with it, went back to my brushless Bosch GSR 12V-35 HX cordless screwdriver, which works either 10.8v & 12v batteries.
Leave it to the young ‘uns Jordan 😉 You look like you might be a bit out of touch on the tools ! 🤣
I use it for plumbing when I have a lot of supports to fit, certainly saves time. And I'm certainly not limp wristed 😀
I have the dremel version am an appliance tech I use it for door removal on dishwashers Thermador,Miele it works great advice use the second setting.

Craftsman makes one like this and it’s amazing and it won’t break the bank

nice tool.....didn't quite get the reference to Scottish Electricians though...?
Nor me strange comment
Will the charging circuit hold hispeed charging at 30 watts? I mean if we plug it in one of those speed phone chargers will it survive?

Just got an m12 myself. Perfect for the job

anyone tried or using the DEWALT DCF680G2 MOTION ACTIVATED screwdriver?
Butchered tool review :/
The worx electric screwdriver on amazon is better and only £40
Still no usb c 😢
Electricians favorite is a number two squared
tried one of these, seems really un-ergonomic. just use ur impact driver instead
Craftsman makes one and the button is in a much better spot so that it is ergonomic
Borderline life changing for EICRs.
I do 2 a day for housing association and it saves my wrists.
Beautifully said!
The bits are next to useless though for a lot of equipment because they wont fit down some of tge recessed terminal holes

It is rubbish 🤣 proof: th-cam.com/video/ealubZGT8ec/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=ProjectFarm
Jordan or his team might have spotted other Sparky TH-cam channels using them to take off and put on fascias and the like.
2:40 "This will be reviewed..." Not for the next one year and a half, I believe. 😉

Scottish, are you?
Like the look of the tools used in this video why not pick up your own from the following link. 👇

Is it only Scottish electricians that use an impact driver?? You can't beat the deal of a normal screwdriver.
Nice video

Get the Milwaukee drill driver, much better much tool more practical. Removable battery so no down time.
This too expensive for what it is and how it performs. Way cheaper and more powerful options out there. Check out project farms videos on this tool.
Agreed
The craftsman 4v electric screw driver is the best option
Wx 242 is better than Bosch go-2 .
This is NOT a USB C port. This a micro USB port.
Good case, hardly Amazing though 😂
clearly you don't know how to use electric screwdriver. :D
How can you review a cordless screw driver when you don't even know wtf a clutch is?
RFM before you try to show me how it works . Useless
You are producing that completely wrong.
The reason why it’s so cheap is because its made by Bosch
lol
would never buy one it's made by a german company sod the Eu
Likewise, we Europeans avoid buying useless British crap. I am sure the state of your economy reflects it :-)
