Yeah I'm on PC, check out my other video for in depth but I remapped a back paddle to ctl on keyboard and use hybrid controls for the game. Find it so frustrating to try and walk with just the left stick.
What is the best way of parkour down without crouching at the end? it seems so inconsistent. Sometimes I stay standing, other times not. Also great video.
That's why I switched it to hold for parkour down/crouch - you do have to time things like vaults properly otherwise you crouch first, but it means once you stop holding, you stop crouching which is useful for parkour down. When on a rooftop, unless you want to slide off an edge, don't start parkour down button until right when you're at an edge. Once you're dropping and there's no need to hold parkour down, stop pressing it and you will avoid the crouch.
@@JGCoolAssassinhonestly i just press parkour down again immediately after doing a slide down and he’s already upright when hitting the ground. i think mirage has some kind of input queuing when it comes to certain actions. if you do a slide while running and tap parkour down at any point while still sliding, basim will stand up automatically after the slide ends
In settings, you go to controls and there's a menu to customise controller settings. They had this in Valhalla too, but now they allow you to make it a hold, which is much better than a toggle.
@@bendawson3322I did this one already which shows my control remapping using 3rd party software, but the start shows a bit of my in game controls. If it's not clear enough, I'll do another short one for just in game settings a bit more in depth. th-cam.com/video/QU6sXP7fFtY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AlGEI-2g4r_04PPg
Great insight as always, this is very useful. Have you figured out a way to trigger the dive animation from unity? I’ve been trying to do it but I can’t get it basim to perform the leap, as he just jumps down to an object instead.
th-cam.com/video/WqLxxFp49pc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8oyoHeozVrSDn0Sy in this vidéo for exemple he does the dive and it worked for me when i press X and O at the same time when leaping but it is not 100% consistent in my experience
Not yet, seems like most the Unity mechanics never left, but became very situational, like the diagonal wall run or some of the parkour down animations
It's certainly not as consistent as it looks in this video (lot of trial and error), but yeah it's a bit of spamming, attempting to get the directional input right and finding spots that it's possible at (still haven't fully figured this out)
X is combat, currently have press as light attrack, hold as heavy and also doubles as assassinate (can cause issues occasionally). Y is actually just eagle vision. I've been making use of my back paddles so don't have to claw lmao
He "sticks" to certain points, for too long. It's not fluid compared to old AC games. He always jumps to spots you didn't mean to. Parkour is probably the worst part of the game IMO
bruh people were saying the same shit about the original games back then lol. OG AC is only more fluid compared to RPG AC. Still love the games regardless, but man people never stopped whining since the beginning XD
This was such a neat video bro i like ur explanations, really good. Subbed
Thanks for the sub! glad you enjoyed it.
B/parkour down also triggers side ejects when you are holding on ledges
Yes thank you man
This one's for you, appreciate you ❤️
@@JGCoolAssassin no prob, looking forward to see more from u. ❤️
Ejects work normally as well but you have to be above an object. They're omnidirectional not just left or right.
Thanks
Awesome video
Glad you enjoyed it!
How did you bind the manual walk? I’m on console so that could be why
Yeah I'm on PC, check out my other video for in depth but I remapped a back paddle to ctl on keyboard and use hybrid controls for the game. Find it so frustrating to try and walk with just the left stick.
yes. automatic walking is a PC only binding unfortunately

@@ninjafrog6966yeah I think you're right about input queuing, the tap after slide is what I was doing for my Valhalla playthrough.
Where do you have a manual walk button?
I use the xbox elite controller 2 on PC so mapped a paddle as a walk button
How did you remap your sprint to Right trigger what did you change your left stick too?
In settings, you go to controls and there's a menu to customise controller settings. They had this in Valhalla too, but now they allow you to make it a hold, which is much better than a toggle.
Could post a video or a list of your control changes?

@@JGCoolAssassin thanks dude that helps so much 👍🏻
So how do side ejects work I use r2 for holding and press btw 🤔?

I have tried to do this by pressing X and O on ps5 at the same time but it is not consistent and i think its very situational

I’ve done this it was completely random tho
Damn bro how are you consistenly doing diagonal wall runs? Does spamming A have anything to do with it?

Wait can you map controls on consoles or is this just PC?
The in game settings should be identical on console as PC
Im assuming X and Y are combat buttons but do you claw?

that's my thoughts. Sometimes jumps aren't as reliable as they should be.
bruh people were saying the same shit about the original games back then lol. OG AC is only more fluid compared to RPG AC. Still love the games regardless, but man people never stopped whining since the beginning XD
yep but still better parkour since unity maybe even unity has issues
you don't need parkour tutorial for this game.... it's not like the old AC parkour
I'm only giving people what they want lmao
