Yeah.... and it kind of upsets me. I spent most of the last two years building the META teams from years 1-3, and then I get told that BTW you can just pull the new one characters. SMH. I just built Hu Tao... here's Arlecchino. I just built Tartaglia and Ayato... here's Neuvillette. I just built Noelle... here's Navia (not too sore about that one). I just built Albedo... here's Chiori. Now I'm just standing by for Clorinde to power-creep my Raiden - and she will. At least Ayaka is still as good if not better tan Wriothesley, but cryo has fallen off a bit....
And I wouldn't mind so much, but I've lost every 50/50 for each of the Fontaine characters that I pulled for. So, thanks for the C3 Diluc, C0 Dehya, and C1 Tighnari, Hoyo.... but I would have been happier with e.g. Navia and Neuvillette.
Aloy, Xinyan, Hydro Traveler, and Dehya are definitely top 4, curious to know who #5 is

Every one overlook how easy to play he is for mobile players, other dps mains just cry and say that we got skill issue and thus need easy playstyle.
Its unfortunate they just left that mechanic for a good while now, most new enemies only have elemental shields
skill issue, you just need to tap 1 for stager and angle at the side for 1 hit lmao,
This is true, you can notice on the 11th floor with the metachul with stone shields (geo) and alrecchino is like hitting the wall, while neuvilette can pass the wooden and geo shields for me that is a pretty good extra added value
I think what puts Neuvillette really over the edge is his team flexibility, insane AoE and how easy he is to build, since you get 36% crit rate for free.
And free crit dmg
I think what really put him over the edge is how he can ignore 90% of the defensive mechanics in the game (need no shield, needs no heal, needs no Dodge, needs almost no positioning, needs no skill)
Free crit rate, free crit damage, large af aoe, best self sustainability and large constant damage
I don't think anyone even close to him
Also can bypass enemy shields like lawrachurl wooden or rock shields, which virtually no other dps can do
Its one problem, nerf nerf and there will finally be a balanced game

My issue is just skill issue. You can't just put characters down and explain: too hard to play.
They are great or not, skill issue just doesn't count.
Maybe I don't care if a characters is difficult or not for others, I just try and see if they are difficult for me or not.
I think everyone should decide if they are good with these characters or not.

It's just a fact that certain characters perform better than the others, and the majority are more inclined to consider how easy it is to access the DPS above anything else. Hypothetically, if Car A that's driven by a professional driver performs slightly better than Car B that's driven by an average car guy and knowingly it'll outperform Car A if it were also to be driven by a professional driver then I think we already knew what car most people will choose.

As a C2R1 Arlecchino main I really do think she is a step below Neuvillette. She might do slightly more damage but let's be honest, she pays for that with certain gameplay issues that Neuv doesn't have. Some of those issues make her way more fun though, like having to look for the right moments to heal, while Neuvillette is so perfect that he almost gets boring after a while because of it.

It's because he has DPS near the top of the chart, the best consolidated AOE in the game that allows him to hit a whole abyss floor without trying, and extremely high durability with tons of HP and built in healing. He's a casual player's dream with enough damage to be a top speedrun character. He's not as fun as Xiao or Alhaitham or especially Arlecchino, but he is stronger than all of them because unlike them, he has literally zero practical downsides.
I put her below Neuvillete because of Bennet's circle impact. Once we get a dedicated support to replace Bennet she will be number one.

@@PulseDemon.Gaming has reactions on his side. Raiden doesn't really have any reactions that benefit her DPS directly. She's bad in aggravate since she does large but less frequent hits, and her damage is pure scaling as Chevreuse just uses overload as a medium to shred resistance and Furina gives damage bonus.
Problem with Arle is that there are a lot of other great pyro dps. Two of them even made it onto this list.
Arle is an upgrade. Neuvillete is the team.
good point. to top off we have natlan coming up which will be gauranteed to have the definitive best pyro characters in the game judging by how recently, hoyo tends to release stronger characters to match their respective region. E.g. Neuv, furina for fontaine and Alhaitham, Nahida.
That's not even an argument for who is the best dps, which is the topic of this video. If you wanna talk meta changes and meta relevance, then yes.
on c2 arlecchino is one girl army ,perfect for quality of life
I wouldn't say he is the team, but he certainly is strong enough to the point where a team feels redundant to him
But tbf, you could see how strong arlecchino truly is when people are comparing her with the best dps in the game instead of other pyro dps
arlecchino is just a side/downgrade, not really an upgrade
crazy how ayaka wasnt even mentioned lol. that just goes to show how anti-freeze the resent abysses have been. I still believe ayaka is one of the top dps and that shell bounce back once the abyss is more favorable. ill acknowledge though that i guess you arent that strong if you need the abyss to be favorable to you. but thats just how it is sometimes the abyss doesnt favor a certain element. maybe in the future we will get an anti-hydro abyss and neuvillete wont be as strong who knows

ayaka will never be in the top 5 ever again. freeze is simply a suboptimal reaction. Any abyss that'll favor freeze will favor the other reactions a lot more, it's fundamentally flawed.

No one does what ayaka does better than her in the best given situation but neuvillete comes in like close second to every "dps's best situation" with the plus of needing no skill/build requirements. For exemple every character on the list (maybe with the exeption of navia and raiden) deals more dmg than him but hydro pump still top1

i played ayaka in this abyss against boss and i was dealing over 1 millon damage with only her burst in 5 seconds so easily i completely destroyed every single boss in almost 1 rotation and i was playing so bad cuz i was speed running to take the primo for my pulls
and she doesn't even have a good 5 star weapon and shes c0 same for every other character in the team there all c0 expect Bennett and they all have 4 star weapons
so yeah just play momo cyro bro losing 20 % crit rate isn't the end of the world you don't need 100% crite rate to play the game and I'm 100% that anyone even build a character with over 85 crit rate so losing that 20% is the same as building a normal character
and by the way i was playing her with c6 Bennett as well so yeah c6 Bennett doesn't affect her at all @@ashenzenden
people have that misconception about ayaka and they think she can only be played in freez
and i don't even think that this abyss doesn't favor her
i was using mono cryo or a hypercary you call it ( ayaka Bennett shenha and kazuha) and i was destroying every single boss with almost 1 rotation so easily with a c0 team except Bennett and it wasn't even close
the only abyss where she can't be good is if there is so many cryo monsters with high cryo resistance like the ones in the first half and that's a normal thing every abyss is different and every character will struggle in the same situation so it's not like it's just a ayaka thing
but you can completely destroy the second half of the abyss so easily with a mono cryo team and you don't really need Bennett you can play any other cryo character instead or you can play mona if you want
and you can even change the team completely if you want i played her with a 4 stars only and finished the abyss so easily with Rosaria and sucrose and Bennett and ayaka of course
so yeah i don't think he played ayaka enough to know how powerful the character is and i think it's the same with everyone they keep focusing on the characters that got buffed or the new ones and think that others become worse which is the complete opposite for ayaka for me shes as good as alhaitham
and her freez team is the best and the most broken team when it works
high damage and complete control of the whole field is just insane

Neuvillette doesn't need Furina as much as Arlecchino needs Bennett IMO. For C0 Neuv she really only brings her personal damage because of you lose the third draconic stack. IMO there is no debate on number one, in 99% of the situations and for 99% of genshin players, Neuvillette will almost always beat any other DPS at clearing waves of ennemies and bosses.

At C0, she still makes playing neuvillette easier cause she helps lower neuvillette's ER requirements compared to furinaless teams. It's also nice cause vv setups become easier

i never use furina with neuv and i never use bennet with my arlecchino. easy abyss 36. aint gonna tell me these units NEED those 2 supports to function that's cap.

Being used to playing Genshin on PC with mouse+keyboard, the one time i tried to play it on the phone made me feel like a drunken baby deer trying to pilot a space shuttle.
So, mad respect for winning that event.
mobile is very easy and even more comfortable than pc at speed running if you are used to it!
Took me about a month to be better on my phone than pc even being a mostly pc gamer
It is soo simple when I switched I didn't even feel anything.
Cause I did alot of mobile gaming before.
If it was a single character game I think I might be *better* on my phone, but I still can't get down swapping comfortably, I bungle it every time.

Neuvillette way better undoubtedly.
Even if Arlecchino has higher damage ceiling,she is not easy to use.
Neuvi can heal himself completely,can work against both solo enemies and a bunch of them.
Neuvi has good 4 star f2p weapon choices unlike Arlecchino.

As u said Arlecchino has higher damage so it is not a big issue to learn a new combat system.
Arlecchino can heal herself too and can be used for AoE also single target.

Imo i have both I enjoy Neuvi a lot but my choice could differ in coming days and i can feel Arlecchino potential too.
Arle also heals herself completely, she works against single targets and AoE

Furina also waiting on rerun, and I imagine she has priority. I expect Shen-he will finally rerun alongside Wriothesely earlier in version 5. Nilou not gonna show up again for a hooot minute. But who knows - depending on if the Dainsleif quest takes place in their region (could be Fontaine, Sumeru, or Mondstadt), we could see her and Alhaitham.

I saw a vid today of someone using C0R0 Neuvillette and C0R0 Arlecchino each solo to clear this current abyss together, which is insane. I think they are undeniably the 2 strongest DPS at present.
I also agree, Arlecchino feels so much better to play than Hu Tao or Lyney, the comfort was night and day.

Dendro is an element that centers around reaction - the fact that we have so many dendro-related reaction, it’s how Hoyo intend for the element to be used and Alhaitham makes use of those reactions in both his personal dmg and as a reaction driver.
Alhaitham’s highest dmg ceiling is Quicken - his personal dmg on Spread is amazing on top of being able to provide enough dendro application for aggravate for his electro team mates
Then you have the comfort of opting for Hyperbloom/Quickbloom team comp, trading some of his spread dmg to allow for another off-field dmg such as hyperbloom
Lastly, his synergy with the best dendro character in game - Nahida. Alhaitham makes use of all the support Nahida offers
So these are the reasons why alhaitham is strong

I think you placements are valid except what you said about Neuvillette and Arlecchino. You said let’s wait for new abysses but really if we look at their kit I think that Neuvillette is much more of a generalist and can work in almost all situations whereas Arlecchino has very noticeable issues against aggressive enemies and her AoE while it’s good, she is still much more tied to groupers there than Neuvillette and you mentioned it as well her being tied to Bennett is a downside because he also has situations where his circle and self pyro is a detriment and Neuvillette being a good support for Neuvillette but far from a necessity is an upside in my opinion. Obviously Neuvillette has worse Single Target damage but then he has the upside that he does not have to worry about dying. Coppellia is the best example for this. Great video still, but I feel like you’re underestimating the comfort that Neuvillette has in comparison to Arle
My guy there’s nothing to think about for the number 1 spot. It’s Neuvilette plain and simple. I have Arle and Neuv C1R1 and they are both absolute monsters but Neuvilette with that massive aoe, range, competitive ST damage output, healing, ease of use. He has it all. It’s not just about raw numbers because if that were the case he would never have been considered the best. It’s a combination of having everything you need on one character.
As for navia being number 4 that is certainly a…decision. Don’t think she should even be a contender at all.
Navia at 4 makes sense because she doesn't really care who the supports are, which is in contrast to all the #5 spot contenders, and without being burst reliant. Better supports give better results but the floor with poor synergy is also high. Being based on crystallize means you get shields and thus interruption resistance while onfield so she feels neuvi c1 tanky while not being defensively focused. Her AoE is significantly worse than other choices but you have the team flexibility to work around it. She's probably gonna fall off soon after Clorinde and Natlan though.

Bro xiao mains are so smart nowdays. Back in the day we used to have to cope and mald in the back while xiao slowly becomes worse and worse and newer better characters come out. It seems with xiaos glow up we also got a glow up 😅
@@pr0ntabi disgree because she has bad aoe and even though that can be circumvented, it wont suddenly make her as good as lyney or xiao in aoe. Also her damage. I dont know if all TCs just had bad navia sheets when she came out but thr sheets i saw a month agter she came iut had her with less damage than lyney, hu tao, xiao, neuv, arle basically everyone in this list except raiden.
@@putent9623 I wasn't claiming that she can scale as high as the other dps here and yea in practice she definitely doesn't. And I'm with you on the numbers and how Xiao has changed over time. My point was that her minimal investment _floor_ is way higher than all of the other DPS options except Neuvilette. Meaning it can help a new or struggling player get from not clearing floor 12 or needing help with weeklies to being able to do that themselves and making more account progress on their own. This is a pretty big deal for some people and a lot of Jello's logic for ranking DPS keeps that in mind. No one with our level of experience is watching these videos to prioritize who to pull, we want to hear the experience of a content creator who is doing a lot of team experimentation and contribute in the comments (hehe). I'm not defending her because I think she sheets better DPS, I'm defending her placement because she's way more casual account friendly and thus a higher value pull for the majority of players since they are all gonna be way more casual than us. Anyone can pull and have fun with Xiao but unless they put in the effort and get the right supports and artifacts and rotations down he won't feel good to play and then they'll give up. I don't want people to do that, feels bad man. So if they were on the fence I'm would push them towards the easy option until they get more experience. And by then ain't asking for advice anyway, you know?
Sorry for the wall of text but I feel that many mains become defensive about a video like this and part of that could be because of tunnel vision, not knowing or forgetting what the experience is like for the majority of players, which in turn makes up the bulk of this video's audience.

Alternatively, everything just dies with this character before they have the chance of being a problem. Her damage is so massive and frontloaded that you being a glass cannon doesnt matter when you're actually firing uranium grapeshot at the enemies and instantly killing them.

Neuv is miles better than Arlecchino to me. Neuv is so much easier to use. I use to have to refresh 100 times as a new player, but that stopped with pulling Neuv. With Arlecchino, it did not bring nearly the same value to my account.

They are both good, but for different scenarios. They even have similarities in their rotations: press E, do "teamwork is dreamwork", do charged attack, repeat...
Arlechino overload is better against shields, Neuvilette is better in AoE scenarios and against some aggressive bosses.

But her inability to heal makes her hard to play especially if u don't have a shield character.

She just needs 40k HP, don't bother to level up her talents except perhaps her skill for the healing.

The biggest issue with hoyo creators is that they assume everyone has every character. It was like that with Star Rail, when everyone was like "well duh, just use Seele", and it's the same with Genshin now - "well duh, just use Furina". Has it ever occurred to you that not everyone has her? She should not be a default assumption to judge DPS by.

Also, Furina isn't required anywhere, but yes, you need a handful of good characters to make a good team, especially 2 and furina is one of the best characters out there.

F2P Neuvilette is harder to play efficiently. He needs his 3 stacks, VV shred and elem bonus to do big damage, that is, bigger than 20k per tick. Messing up his team rotation is a dps loss for him.
i think the longer arlecchino is out the more people will realize that bennett is kind of annoying on arlecchino teams since she kinda dashes to enemies across the screen in some instances making it annoying to stay in the circle. YOU DONT HAVE TO RUN BENNETT! I DONT AND STILL DO SO MUCH DAMAGE even when my arlecchino is not fully built with garbo artifacts, im still doing all the content just fine

It's great to see Xiao put on a reasonable spot on this list. Right now, I have him doing nearly consistent 100k per plunge with your aforementioned Faruzan/Furina/Xianyun team. He's held back a lot by how much investment is needed to get higher numbers. However, once you get there, it's really easy to do consistent braindead damage with even suboptimal rotations.

i have tested mine today on a few bosses and it was delightful to see those juicy 145-160k per plunge❤ however with Zhongli instead of Furina cuz i don't have her. i think hes still one of the best dps's and nobody will make me think differently. best boy forever❤

2. Alhaitham- get full em kuki, hydro sub dps, nahida/yaoyao/baizhu or extra 50 elem shreds bosses and makes alhaitham tanky as well with xq dmg mitagation and kuki heal
3. Arlechino- vape or overload just e then do team stuff charge atk and spam normal great damage but im using glad hard to farm new set
4. Ayaka- if im feeling grandpa gamer i just do freeze
5. Xiao- if hyper invested with ffxx team hits hard esp aoe

Alhaitham only needs 2 c0 epic charas to work in the most usable team (Xingqui and Kuki). And, well, the second dendro - Yaoyao, Kollei or Dendro mc would do. He is not as tied to Nahida as people tend to think - I've closed the 12th floor for the first time without her. He's compatible with Furina thanks to Baizhu and Yaoyao. He works in hyperbloom, burgeon, aggravate, and Nilou's teams, and none of them require five stars except the last one to function, even thou they become better. He's more usable with Sucrose than with Kazuha if she has a Hakusin. He also doesn't have any other dps that can do exactly the same (Hu Tao and Arlecchino situation).
So, the top for me:
1. Neuvillette
2. Alhaitham
3. Hu Tao and Arlecchino
4. Ayaka, Xiao, Liney, Tighnari, Childe (pretty restricted but deal a lot)
5. Navia, Raiden c0, Nilou (cannot be considered "main dps" but contribute a lot)

I wonder how Itto in a Mono Geo compares. The rotation is so fluid and the buff is universal for the team. Even after trying other meta teams, some of my fastest clears are on this comp. With Zhongli, Gorou, Chiori and Itto, no one is really the MVP but the team works seamlessly. I think that it might make the list if Hoyo finally releases a 5star Gorou power creep unit

The not very good thing with older characters like Childe, Hu Tao, and Xiao. Is that they don’t have a good passives. That’s why they do require a bunch of investment to be a very good DPS.
They also don't have great constellations. On the one hand it's nice that Xiao is basically as good as he'll ever be at c0. But if you're chasing a support on his banner later to vertically invest that feels bad man...

This is what i mentioned to my friend the other day. Old characters have c1s that make them a little easier to use or a little more survivable. Fontaine dps have a c1 description that is a game changing paragraph about how you will now plow your enemies with the force of 1000 suns after they were already quite good at c0. The constellation and investment powercreep is the most obvious.
He can now say he can build and test every character and its not a lie.

in a navia team when you set up for those big hits you dont have any other damage dealers and you also have downtime on her damage...

because with this logic i could see eula being high up there if it is about who can hit harder for a damage per screenshot...

I don’t really agree with the Raiden placement (her being “on par” with Lyney, Hu Tao, Xiao) personally; I think she’s overvalued by a lot of the community. I think everyone else on this list is aptly placed, with the only sorta questionable one being Navia. Good video though! Always nice to see what others think of characters. It’s really quite amazing how quickly everyone has realized Arlecchino’s power level 😆
Neuv is undisputed no.1.. no contest.. Arlecchino doesn't even compare. Sure her ST teams are higher than Neuv teams but that's it.. Neuv has

3. Ease of access of damage.

I don’t enjoy playing as Hu Tao or Xiao at all even though I did try back in the day. But I will admit that I wasn’t as well researched at that time, and they both felt way more fragile at C0 and without their signatures than was worth playing for the sake of the damage output.
true navia over Xiao or hutao is pretty wild, I'd personally put them in the order of hutao Xiao navia due to hutao having more team flexibility than xiao. Navias frontload is great though.
I'd argue and say hydro isn't really an element made for on field dps, but I agree with the rest. He has a lot if not too many going for
Interruption resistance (not entirely immunity because apparently the chamber 3 second half boss can knock him out)
Big attacking radius while being a ranged character
Self healing
Easier access to his dmg (not necessarily so compared to arlecchino, but certainly is compared to pretty much the rest)
Essentially, he's a dps character that not only has a lot going for in his kit, he also has some of the highest dps that apply in practice (instead of just in theory) while having pretty much no drawback of any form. Arlecchino while having higher dps in practice and actually having more developing potential in the future believe it or not, she has obvious drawbacks that none of us can overlook
So yeah currently it is fair to say neuvillette is the number 1 dps character in the game (at C1R1 tho). We'll have to see how it goes in the future tho, because I believe arlecchino has the potential to surpass him. This game is a team game after all. But, until arlecchino's potential has come to fruition, he'll remain the best for the time being
Love how Arlecchino's playstyle is so easy to understand, but the challenging part is to avoid being hit less. I benched my shield characters just to feel the fun of practicing my dodges. Makes it seem a bit more fun.

If I may ask, I was building a team with Lisa Overload (I've seen recently your guide for Lisa and Chevreuse) and it's so much fun, but I'm definitely not very well build with any of the characters, if you test it, could you talk about it?
I'm using Lisa, Chevreuse, Fischl and Dehya (with Sacrificial that makes Lisa never get staggered and apply constant Pyro)

After testing What I am seeing is
Arlechino is stronger than Alhaitham but Alhaitham's team is stronger than Arlechino team
In Arlechino team, Arle alone is going all damage and bring 100K +
but In Alhaitham Teams, Alhaitham is bringing 80K personal damage, Kuki bringing 60K and Yelan and Nahida bring a Decent Chunk.
But Arlechino is Much faster than Alhaitham with his 1.6 sec cooldown.
Consistency is better In alhaitham team, Speed is better in Arle's team as after the 8th Hit, her Dps starts of fall because of Bond of life.
Arle and Al bring almost same DPS depending on Situation, Neuvillete is Stronger than Both of them and unquestionably strongest

Arle and Al are pretty much equal and I can't recommend, it doesn't matter, depending on situations one can do more than the other. I would say Arlechino is stronger because her personal damage is 80 to 120k while Alhaitham's personal damage is 80 to 100K team as better as he can run Nahida,Furina,Yelan,Kuki(and Kuki brings 60K).
The ones below are pretty apparent Navia,Hutao,Ayaka.
I would say Alhaitham requires more investment compared to Arlechino, So if you want to pull one, get Arlechino, but Alhaitham teams won't be inferior to Arlechino's.

I find interesting how the game has evolved, and they introduced this hypercarry characters just know. The first stages of the game were very elemental reaction driven, so almost all characters have skills that synergy very well when taking advantage of reactions.
But then you have Lyney, who best team is mono-pyro. And Neu solos everything, and Arle can do it as well. Hu Tao dishes out a lot of damage, but when paired with a support that enables her to make said elemental reactions. But Arle by herself makes big numbers. I have a feeling that Chlorinde will be the same. And I can’t help but wonder what kind of characters they have designed for the last two regions, if we already cover so much terrain already.
Yeah, the characters who just hit with raw multipliers are getting more frequent now. (The arguably version 1 to 3 had Xiao, Ayaka, Itto, and Wanderer. ...then version 4 came around to introduce a bunch in Lyney, Neuvilette, Arlecchino.)
For the future of the game, I look to the things that haven't been explored so much yet:
* Self-infusion (the Talking Stick battle pass weapon passive)
* Dual weapon infusion?
* Playstyles that you need to avoid causing reactions?
* Better combat movements (Genshin community keeps talking about how revolutionary it is that Neuvilette can slowly kite while doing his charged attack, but he's still slow compared to a lot of Honkai Impact 3rd's ranged battlesuits)
* Physical

If Xiao wasn't as expensive to build/unlucky with Faruzan being on his banner, he would easily be above the other runners up and I'd put him at 4th in place of Navia. Mine literally plunges for 310k and I know whales who hit way harder. Those are unprecedented numbers for an AOE dps.
310K is C2 Xianyun levels of damage so I don’t think that’s a good reference.

Also, Xianyun IS Xiao’s vertical investment. When people talk about clears with Hu Tao, she’s usually C1R1 as a baseline. For Raiden hyper, most assume C2. Xiao’s cons are worthless and his sig is a standard banner pull. I don’t think assuming vertical inv on his specialized support is unreasonable

@@pankace3296 What I’m getting at is most comparisons will assume C0 as the baseline. It kind of throws a wrench in things when you add constellations into the equation like that because 99% of the player base don’t have these and can’t relate so it’s unrealistic.

I wonder if you'd reconsider anything in a follow up comment or video if taken into account that new players have an easier tome guaranteeing a particular 5* (like, Kazuha, Furina, Xianyun), over any high con 4*. Because I have to wonder if that makes much of a difference. Maybe when deciding the 5th slot if not the higher up ones.

I just had a crazy tangential thought in thinking about how Bennet locked certain characters are. Pyro is really heavily associated with death and rebirth. What if the archon takes this idea and implements it into a gameplay mechanic where if a character dies, they are immediately reborn and they do more damage for time while on field
Ooooo nice idea. Maybe if someone is ded and the pyro archon does burst, the person ded is revived and has a buff for an amount of time. If no one is ded, then pyro archon does something else.
Or it could be like the Bailout mechanic for Renata Glasc in LoL, where a character who is supposed to die gets a brief second chance to get a kill, and if they get a kill they get to stay alive and not die.

Back in 1.3 when hu tao came out the simps trashed diluc and made fun of people for playing him

Plenty of crystals on the field for Navia, good rotation, swappy-gameplay and very defensive. Cleared both sides with it!

@@lastorderx20001 I main him because i like charged attack carries (like ganyu and tighnari) and because i like how stylish is his bow when he uses E and blow the shit out of everything in the end. Specially when he says 'now disappear!' Also one other reason is that he gaves me a reason to use my dehya, because i also like her but she's not good on almost any other team.

It’s hard to compare Neuvillette and Arlecchino. Neuvillette is an aoe dps while Arlecchino is mostly single target. Additionally, Arlecchino’s raw dmg is really high but slowly goes down. Neuvillette’s is consistent.

i dont know why people are forgetting how strong hutao is due to arlecchino release. although arlecchino outscales hutao in almost every team hutao is and will always be one of the top dps in the game and people saying she was never good or boring is just absurd
Does Arlechino really outscale Hu Tau's best team? I find her strongest team to be Hu Tau, Xinyun, Yelan, Furina. This is enough to one rotation most bosses. I think it is too early to tell yet because no Arlechino is fully built yet. On current builds I would say no way. Once she is maxed I think that will be true.
My c1 r1 triple crowned hutao does less dmg than my c0 jade spear Arle with lv8 talent.

@@AzureDrag0n1And I am currently one-rotating most bosses in abyss with a vape Arlecchino with PJWS and 8,6,6 talents on glad so not even her bis set. Only one I get real close but can’t quite finish is the plunge bot thing on 12-3. Once I get her talents up and signature then it should be doable. Considering there’s no Furina for Arle and she can still pull it off I say puts her ahead.
I think there's a number of things to consider for Neuvillette.
First is that he's ranged and can move while damaging. This from-afar-with-movement gameplay is a huge quality of life improvement. Even if his movement is slow, it's enough for a number of bosses (plus he then avoids short-range stuff).
Second is that he (can) require basically zero setup. You can Skill > Damage immediately which is incredibly useful in the overworld and it also really helps when your rotations get screwed up or you just need that last little bit of damage to clear the chamber. Obviously for best damage he needs full team swap, but unlike Arlecchino he's got access to relatively decent damage right from the start.
Third is that he's got access to a much wider range of teams. His passive works with literally all elements (except Hydro I guess) so he can be slotted in anywhere. Sure he may not hit peak without Furina but it also means that if you need Furina elsewhere he's still going to hit massive numbers.
The way I see it is that Arlecchino has very high potential but she also requires significant setup and rotation planning to get the most out of. Whereas Neuvillette feels pretty brain dead to play (in a good way); quick swap a few times, back to Neuvi then Charge Attack to win. And on top of that you don't have to worry about managing Healing versus Damage Output.
Frankly, Neuvillette is just in a league to himself in my book. He's just got so, so, so much going for him even if he can't hit those absolute peak numbers like others can.
