Thanks for the attempt here. Several issues should be addressed: Tabbing requirements have changed. A minimum of two 1" tabs are required for folded self-mailers. Either on the top or on the ends within 1" of the corner. Postage or indication of paid postage must be applied prior to submitting the mailing to the acceptance unit. Using the Quick Service Guides found at pe.usps.gov/text/qsg300/q000.htm is strongly encouraged during mail preparation and using the current and correct postage statement is also required.
This video is incorrect about sorting the mail. It has never been correct to just sort the pieces in zip code order and put them in a tray. Zip codes must be grouped according to a series of steps that vary with the category of mail you are sending, where you are sending it from, and how many pieces you have in each zip. (For a mailing going to many different areas, this gets complicated.) Plus, you must correctly label the tray with a barcoded label to USPS standards, fill out paperwork, etc. And, btw, before you do this, you need a permit from USPS.
