- How was our first trip away in our caravan?
This is all about that first trip, how we set up, what out caravan looks like and how we spent our days.
A brief background story. I have bought a caravan due to lockdown and having to live away from work. I used to say with a friend, but this became illegal. The hotels were shut in 2020 and the only one in the area I was in was for Doctors and Nurses. With being a shielder during the first lockdown after Doctors orders, I didn't feel it would be safe to stay there, nor do you really know how clean a hotel is.
So I bought a caravan and this is where my journey begins.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my caravan when away from home for work, but I have no idea how I am going to cope with 3 other people in a small space messing up my caravan.
This trip we went to Scarborugh (Scarbados) and I show you our days out aswell and what we got up to and how we set up the caravan and what it looks like.

Sally you are so funny. The bad weather follows you, let us all know, in advance, where you are going next, so we can all go somewhere different away from the bad weather you bring😂🤣. Your mini break looked good fun though, even though you weren’t happy having lodgers in your caravan🤣

Just a word of warning, please ensure you remove your electric hook up cable fron the reel when in use. It is a fire hazard when wound tight, because of the heat electricity generates. Take care.

i didnt know either until a neighbouring caravan owner told me the risk. now i regret buying such a long lead😢
The jelly thing is an Anemone (not sure if that's how you spell it) they open out when under the water.
Thanks Sally, really enjoyed watching. Shame about the weather but you always make it an interesting time nevertheless. I’ve never seen those jelly creatures on the rocks before, but I don’t think they’re limpids as they’ve got a hard shell? 🤷🏼♀️ Love your sunglasses Sally, very glam 🤩😎

You seem to have had much better weather in north east than Norfolk on the east coast bit more rain but we had gale force winds blowing brr& 20/21 May it’s been horrendous rain ☔️ winds & looking naff for weekend

I know you have already been told this by another comment and the person that wrote it was absolutely correct you must always unwind the electric cable fully it happened to me in my shed some years ago when I did not do this and the cable completely melted so looking at your video you have not done this it will overheat and possibly catch a fire so always unwind it other then that welcome to caravaning

We moved back to Brid in Oct after 41 years away and need to go back and revisit all these places - once the weather improves! We used to take our kids to Peasholm Park back in the 70's when they were Frankie Jacks age - happy memories!! Despite the weather it looks like you had a great time though :-)

Sally, I just love your travel vlogs. It's always fun and exciting to see the sites that are on the other side of the pond. It gives me some ideas of where to visit once I feel safe to travel again. The scenery snd those cliffs, a bit scary looking down but are absolutely stunning. Funny, Puffins are my favorite bird. I would love to see them. Gary is so funny and Frankie Jack looks like he had a fabulous time. A wonderful learning experience too. Had the giggles when you were talking about the wind and the rain. Hey, at least you weren't in a tent this time....lol. My parents used to take us camping alot when we were young. We went all over. Most of the time the weather was in our favor but there was one time where it poured in the middle of the night. My parents had just bought all new camping gear..a tent that slept eight and new air mattresses and sleeping bags. The tent system dry inside, but every air mattress had a leak and we found ourselves sleeping on a cold and damp floor where you could occasionally feel a rock that was under that tent. The next day we stayed a a hotel and headed home. The air mattresses were returned and better ones were bought and off to more camping experiences after that. I have to say, a caravan is definitely the better way to go. You have created so many great memories and alot to share a laugh or two when looking back. Always fun to virtual travel with you!
