We had a great time, due in no small part to the fact we met up with The Trudgians! It was such a pleasure to meet up with Dan & Angela and share a few drinks and lots of laughs. If you don't already follow their superb channel, here's a link:

2:43 Toast the crumpets, cut some very thin mature cheese wafer strips and place on top. Microwave for 20 seconds, leave to cool for a while and add trimmed ham slices and relish if you like. Haven't had Marmite crumpets since and I was virtually addicted.

Great video as usual guys very informative and funny. However the mistreatment of a crumpet is beyond forgiveness, how could you. Crumpets are for butter, sometimes Jam or maybe Honey, but Marmite how could you. Like the look of the site by the way, might put it on our late summer todo list. All the best

I love this site - it’s only 30 mins from where I store our caravan so ideal for weekend breaks. Close to Kemble / Cotswold Aiprort - lots of activity with private planes as well as big jets which are dismantled and scrapped on site. There is a cafe and 747 exhibition too - great for kids and grown ups.
That sounds brilliant, we'll have to plan a visit, think we've driven past it before and seen all the planes lined up. Thanks for watching 👍

Hi mac and sarah Had a wee bit of trouble on the road to silverdykes at the weekend there was an accident the police had closed the road i had to unhitch the cvan turn it round hook back up and go a different road was gratefull to a couple of roadworkers who helped was trying to warn other drivers most idiots just ignored me and carried on served them right to get stuck in a traffic jam lol

Trying to sell my van to upgrade somebody offered me 2 k below the asking price what a cheek obviously buying to sell on what a nerve somepeople got

Thank you for sharing your time at Cirencester 😊 it looks like a lovely place to visit. My Question today is how did you get your kettle lead through the small hole to plug in? As I’ve noted previously we have a van identical to yours and can’t figure out how to get the white plastic circle out to plug the kettle in?? We’re off to Sandringham next week. Really looking forward to it as it’s been on our list for sometime now. 😊😊
Hi Jackie, thanks for watching 🙂 the round discs pop out, allowing the plug to pass through, then the discs pop back in again with the cable sitting in the little cut outs 👍

Great review both and a few new things we didn’t know about, Cirencester Park is a great site and so well located. The micro brewery looked and good place and fun times with the Trudgians. Cirencester is one of our favourite places for a weekend break and only an hour tow from where we live. Glad you had a great time. Thanks for the update both 😀😀

Hi Mac and Sarah
We have stayed at Cirencester park several times in our 30year Caravan career.
Always enjoyed it, as did our Golden Retriever Dusty and his successor our border collie Louis.
We have also stayed at Burford, another quality club site, right next door to the Cotswold wildlife park. The only problem with this site is apart from the wildlife park, there are no walks in the area and although Burford is only a short distance the main road is not recommended for a walk into town.
Morton in Marsh likewise an excellent site only spoilt by road noise, but the Votswold way passes by the back of the site and you can access this by taking the first left as you walk into the town.
Then turn left through the allotments are you are the Cotswold way.
Broadway, again a nice site and only a short walk into Broadway, a typical Cotswold town.
Great for you to bring back memories of places we have been.
We caravanned all over the Uk with our various vans, so hope to give you heads up on other UK destinations in the future.

Its one of our favorite sites, sadly can take 3 hrs from Essex. The Micro Brewery is excellent🍺 With so many walks into town and around the park, I think we have a step surplus after a weekend at Cirencester.
In the bottom of the wardrobe, at the back. A piece of wood protects the plastic surround of the wheel hub. I put a piece of wood on top, as shoes kept failing into the wheel arch void.

Great video of your lovely weekend at what looks to be a great site. Not stayed there yet, but it certainly caught our attention. We were in CAMC Broadway last year, which was an equally stunning base to tour the North Cotswolds.
It's great to have a few bevvies and not have far to "stagger" back to the van. Sadly, bladders of our vintage after a few beers never allow for a sleep without regular toilet trips every couple of hours or so.
Definitely toasted crumpets (preferably sourdough) with Marmite is the caravan equivalent of gastronomy in our book. With you both all the way on that one.
Finally, we really like that dandy looking patterned green Shacket that Mac was wearing at the end of the video there. Might have to shed about a decade's worth of winter warmth to get into Mac's size. 😂😂

Afternoon both,
A very useful and informative vlog about Cirencester, we have considered this site but never been even though we used other Cotswald sites.
Looks like you are settling nicely with the new van 👌.
The water pump pipe they are a pain and curl up, I put a length of old 22mm waste pipe on ours to help keep it straight works a treat. One to mention removal of one use clip and filter is a pain, replaced clip with a jubilee clip.

Mac &sarah can you tell me how i can find out the noseweight of a caravan without having to buy scales it must be in the owner manual some where i just cant find it thanks
Hi Cameron! I think the nose weight is very dependent and what you have in the van, especially in any front locker. However, your car will have a maximum nose weight limit, ours is 75kg for example. We have a milenco nose weight gauge to check it before we leave. Hope that's helpful, cheers

What exactly is marmite??
Well, its super tasty in my opinion, but you either love it or hate it 😅 Here's the Wikipedia definition...
Marmite (/ˈmɑːrmaɪt/ MAR-myte) is a British savoury food spread based on yeast extract, invented by the German scientist Justus von Liebig. It is made from by-products of beer brewing (lees) and is produced by the British company Unilever. Marmite is a vegan source of B vitamins, including supplemental vitamin B12. A traditional method of use is to spread it very thinly on buttered toast.
