Still one of my favorite Elvis Costello songs! When this debut album came out, I was the only person in my high school who loved it, nevermind I was the only person in my high school who ever heard of him. Since then, Elvis's career has been so amazing with the things he's done and artists he's worked with. His limitless talent and artistry and depth of musical knowledge has created a career that other artists can only envy.
I like your reaction, Nick. I’m an Elvis fan from the day. I didn’t find it but you haven’t done (What’s So Funny Bout’) Peace, Love and Understanding. There is a great video, too. The song written by the great Nick Lowe almost 50 years ago, 1974. Nick produced numerous Elvis albums including his cover of this song. Highly recommended! In the 50 years everyone and their cousin (including The Boss) have covered this song, Elvis had the biggest hit with it. With Sharon Van Etten having the most different and soulful take. Spoiler alert, Nick makes a cameo in Sharon’s video. The old man with the guitar and dog in the backyard. The song needs attention as its 50th approaches. I hope you see old messages and will do this Elvis classic. Maybe Sharon, too.
Costello wrote a song called "Shipbuilding" about the Falklands war in 1982. The version by Robert Wyatt is one of the most beautiful, subtle and intelligent yet powerful anti-war songs I've ever heard. I think it would make for an interesting reaction.
I love that you're reacting to Elvis Costello. He is one of my favorite artists of all time. I'd love to see you do "What's So Funny 'Bout Peace, Love and Understanding", "I Don't Want to Go To Chelsea", "Shipbuilding", "Oliver's Army", "Radio Radio", "Veronica"... SO MANY great songs!!
Love this song. There's an album called Get Happy! that has 2 great songs, Opportunity and Motel Matches. The great thing about this album, if you don't like any song your listening to at any particular moment, just hang on it'll be over in a minute or 2, as every song on this album very short

‘Oliver’s Army’ would make a good (if controversial) reaction!
Love this. He has so many great songs. And sounds amazing live too.
I'm not the biggest Costello fan but I really love a decent selection of his songs, this is one of them, awesome...

Try "Watching the Detectives" :)
Great artist, you should check out his Charlie Aznavour cover of She, it's brilliant.
Used in the Notting Hill film soundtrack, I believe.
Have you reacted to "Watching the detectives" by Elvis Costello, Nick ? That's a really good song.
I'll have to react to it!
Reaction request to West End Girls by Pet Shop Boys.
I love this song, so I should do a review of it, thanks!
