Thx for the review Joe & Lori - Luv this vehicle. I've driven the 23 & 24 model yrs with the 3.5 TT and the EV version too. The best feature is just how quiet it is. And when you step on it the exhaust note is deep and sounds great!! So many luxury features; large sunroof that open, massaging drivers seat, heated seats all around, full gorgeous soft leather, plush carpets and buttons to access nav, radio & media options + Volume button - TY Genesis. I really don't like how some manufacturers make the driver go into 3/4 screens to access some features. The fit & finish is Grade A and the materials are top grade. 0-60 should be under 5 seconds That large screen is the new feature for me. There is NO better ICE vehicle in the market at this price pt. This is a FANTASTIC Value Proposition. I'm in Vancouver and the 3 local deals are all very accommodating. Thx again you 2.
For sure! Genesis has some really cool models like the G80 and G70. The G80 is all about luxury and comfort, while the G70 has that sporty vibe. They both come with awesome tech features and a smooth ride.
Been looking at these the last few years. Too many issues with rear diff and transfer cases. Still haven’t fixed the issues. Otherwise great looking SUV!
Your reviews are the best, Love the exterior, prefer the current interior, not a fan of panoramic screens at all. My 2024 3.5 Sport Prestige is more ergonomic with a separate instrument cluster (3D), and infotainment screen, these pano screens are a compromise height and no glare protection, the reason instrument clusters are hooded. The rest is beautiful but give me the original dash layout.
@@CarlosRTorres-mq1cu yeah, seems like every GV70 owner says this, and maybe I can’t blame em, but they can’t deny the current screen sits too far away from the driver to use comfortably. I think that’s one main reason for the refresh.
@@tknice I rarely touch the infotainment screen, the controller wheel is excellent, between it and the steering wheel controls no need to touch the screen at all...........
Like the new GV70 Joe! Looks awfully similar with the new upgrades (like the screens) to the new GV80 though 🤔. Bringing the luxury to a smaller size and price! Great job as always Joe and Lori.
Nice review as always. There is a difference between Sport vs. Lux for both GV80 and GV70 when it comes to exhaust. On the sports version, the exhausts are visible but on Lux, for both GV80 and GV70, they are hidden. I guess for the US debut, Genesis is not showing the GV70 Lux/Standard version which has been selling in South Korea and Australia. The GV70 is getting my attention. Let's see what packages will be offered in US. On Genesis' South Korean website, there is a huge selection of packages, but I know for US market they will limit the packages as always.
So I own a Genesis G70 3.3T Sport, and while overall it's a good vehicle there are some issues. They are cheaper than the equivalent Mercs/BMW's & Audi's for a reason. The dark chrome for example peels away almost immediately and even if you get the dealer to replace it, it lasts weeks at best then is gone again. I don't mean just tarnished, I mean it's gone leaving your trim looking like it has leprosy. The satnav in mine failed and the company Genesis got the software from is now out of business. As a result they found another patch to work but the satnav now looks likes it's from a 2002 Elantra rather than a luxury car. I still like Genesis as a brand but it is not the equivalent quality of it's competitors. It looks like it is but after a few months you see the cut corners.
this is how a luxury car should be interms of interior all they really have to do is work on driving dynamics like bmw and you just cant beat it. leaps and bound ahead of merc audi and bmw interms of interior quality in this price point
I’ve had a 2022 GV70 3.5T since the time it launched. Amazing car and I love it. But the servicing in most places is done by Hyundai and the service experience is severely subpar compared to other luxury brands.
How about Luxury, Tech and performance? No other ICE achieves this high standard of luxury at this price pt. Test it out. Luv to hear what your opinion is after a weekend with it. Cheers!!
Um ... This model has the 3.5 L TT ICE that does 0-60 in less than 5 seconds. The Acura RDX can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 6.2 to 6.7 seconds, depending on the model year and trim.
Thx for the review Joe & Lori - Luv this vehicle.

Those side mirror turn signals are super slim & trim!

Genesis has colors I wish the other manufacturers would use.

Fantastic colors, but Genesis has problems with paint peeling and fading.

The best in the segment....Genesis did an excellent job...
They have totally reinvented the Genesis GV 70
You better believe it brother!
@ yes sir
Sarcasm?
What? Reinvent? How???
Genesis is killing the overall look and the color patterns & interiors is 🔥
I wonder how hard it is to clean that busy grill.
The previous round real exhausts tips looked much more aggressive than the new ones.
I agree.
Nice to look at, but I would be wary of the paint peeling and fading that genesis is having problems with.
I haven’t heart about paint issues.
I’m on my second Genesis no paint problem whatsoever
The paint on my 2020 G70 w/45 K miles is flawless.
That’s a beautiful car!
It looks fabulous. Perfect color.
Great review and great car.
Very good looking vehicle.
Love the way they made the EV version exactly the same…..no “electric” badges all over
It really can be simple like that
Nice car. Looks perfect..
LOVE it! I wish they would get rid of that light chrome trim though, it would look sooooo much better without it!

When are these expected to hit the dealerships?
These suv's with no bumpers. A front end accident at 20 mph is a total loss

How much chicken wire can they fit on the grill?
This kills the acura rdx
The body shape kind of reminds me of the Audi Q5 and the interior instrument cluster like a BMW X5.

Hey Joe- Could you please review the new Tesla Model 3? I'm thinking of getting it and would love your review of it. 😄
They're teasing us with the Magma sub-brand with all this orange stitching. xD

Spare tire?
Can we stop with the cheap flat screens for the dash? The biggest zonk of modern vehicles. Am I the only one?
Yes
What I've been saying!!!!
No your not I can't stand them, even if they rounded off the corners slightly that would probably help a little
Nooo that’s exactly how I felt. I thought I was the only one. The graphics look outdated

So a 10 year powertrain on a twin turbo v6!
And 5 year bumper to bumper!

Hoping you got time with the Ioniq 9
It’s probably a 2025 with a 2026 Sticker Tag. There is like over 1,000 2024 GV80s for sale and there is only a month left in 2024.
The grill, what a pain in the ass to keep clean!
Is this bigger than Lexus RX 350?
Hey, sorry for the late reply! But no.. It's actually smaller than the RX.

Visible rear wiper an absolute pimple on the rear styling
I wondered this. But every time you do auto show reviews, why are they between 10-15 minutes
I think I might be just too old for Genesis
