Matt awesome content as always! And And this isn't strictly relevant but, the team at projet fly is awesome fastest response to my support ticket I've ever had! Awesome work!!
From one pilot to another, taxi speeds differ, yes. However one of the main concerns with fast taxis on large aircraft like the 787 and 777 is friction wear on the tires which is also why there is a speed restriction on turns. You can cause the tires to heat up which as a result can affect your brake performance if you are constantly using them to slow the plane down. PMDG actually models this nicely in the 777.
Longest flight I've been in a 789 for was from Auckalnd to Chicago and you're right it was smooth as hell. Engine was bouncing around so much I was wondering how long till it fell off though!
Loved this video until turning to establish the LOC and the A/T decided to sh*t itself and give you 300 IAS. I felt your anger (as would I, after a perfect 8 hour flight for that to happen at the end!!!)
Am sure that would be for small/GA aircraft to taxi at "walking speeds", as a fair few Airports have upto a 30Knot taxi limit...you want to see how fast they go down ALPHA at LPL lol
Another awesome vid, Matt! Great route, beautiful aircraft, and always great flying music! "33 knots down the taxiway; sue me." - LMAO. Can't wait for the next flight!
Another Awesome video Matt, as always ! Still catching up on some of your videos from a couple of years ago ! loved this video the TUI 787-8 is one of my favourite aircraft ! Apart from the A350 of course, already looking forward too your next video.
Yeah you definitely departed from a gate on the north side because I remember on stream you had to wait ages to give way to an arriving easyJet a320! So you were sat there for ages haha. Great video as usual!
Top quality as always Matt! Fancy doing the Gatwick - Mauritius run at any time in the future? Flying the route with TUI in October and I need something to hype me up even more for the flight haha!
My instructor told me the walking pace thing but depends on where you are in the airport. Backtrack and quiet taxiways can go faster. Great video as always!
Walking pace applies to GA planes. Mentour Pilot made a video about taxiing speed. I think from memory he said: 15kt Max around the apron, 10kt Max during turns, and 30kts Max in a straight line.
I went to Cancun on a 787 and on the way home they were not allowed to start the engines at the stand due to the power of the engines, they had to start them near the runway!
Great video. In order to combat the annoying announcements, I deleted the sounds. They are located in the Qualitywings folder, within the P3D root. It falls under QCAS/QPAS.
Just a quick question Matt on something I've noticed, why do you always start Engine #2 first? Not a criticism, just a general wonderment, if you will. Keep up the amazing content.
@@DukemeisterBass pilots always start number 2 first as a rule, but there are exceptions I.e what side the aircraft was loaded on for the placement of stairs or baggage carts but 9 out of 10 number 2 is always started first
10/10 video Matt. Enjoyed the whole thing. Hopefully you can find some time to do a PMDG 747-8 video soon here on the channel, I don't believe you covered that aircraft yet in a YT vid.
Hi Matt, how do you get the active sky weather to work on the quality wings 787, for some reason, the radar doesn’t work and when I try to load the descent forecast, it says “active sky weather.txt not found”. Not sure why it is not working but I have been asking around to see if I can figure out the problem.
How have you got your sim to look that good? I have the same add-ons as you ( with the exception of active sky and Rex 4). Do you think Active Sky or Rex 4 are worth it? What is the visual improvement that is introduced with these add ons?
hi matt some reason I deleted my sim and everything when the aircrafts engine is on it jitters wobble and its annoying its on all aircraft pleadse help me please
And how do you make your terrain look so realistic? Even when i put default texture size to 4k×4k, terrain looks kinda awful and homogenous, especially deserts, snowy areas like Norway etc.
Matt I have a question, do you use a 4k monitor to fly? or a 2K? or 1080? and what are the specifications of your PC at this time, with which this video was recorded? Thanks
Hey Matt, question - how do you manage to move the camera freely around the airport / around the aircraft in the air? Is it an addon? Prepar3d basic version doesn't allow that as far as I know?
@@darrelmukandhla6548 thanks - i was wondering... i am a tower controller on VATSIM - can you use this addon to simulate a view from airport tower? It needs to be a free camera. Would certainly add immersion beyond Euroscope radar
Hi Folks, a question. How do you make your flaps and rudders going during a replay. In my case that stuff is all static. Could anybody tell me how you see rudders moving in a replay? Thanks for your support
Hey there, I used to fly fsx a lot (now moved to X-Plane 11) and what I would normally use is an add on. I can’t quite recall what it was called but i’ll tell you if I find out. So in conclusion you need a special add on to record your landing or take off or whatever and then convert it into a replay file and there you go! EDIT: add on is called “fsrecorder”
