I'm back with Paul (Squirrel) using the shared cockpit feature of the Majestic Software Dash 8 Q400. We flew from Birmingham (EGBB) to Edinburgh (EGPH) - it ended in disaster... or did it? :D

Matt Davies hey Matt. Could you tell what song you're using around 51:27? Help a flight gamer out? fantastic video though. I actually love the emergency landings. Maybe next you could do some sort of Ryannair extra hard landing or something.

Interesting enough these kind of mistakes have occurred in real flights as well. Lesson learned I guess :)

matt you legend. great quick thinking. the way you handle the situation and division of workload is superb. you didn't get hung over what happened just what to do. incredible flying. but next time think about fuel a bit more. you taxi some head wind and other thing take a bit if fuel. so add 10% more than estimate at minimum.

I ran out of fuel when on a 10nm final into Vancouver in the dash on vatsim, that was awkward telling atc we couldn't make it. Anyway great video matt ;))
I love this video! lol. I love that he landed so well and that Matt still turned off the lights and other switches after dying on the taxiway hahaha. Matt only missed the beacon since the engines were off!

That's Flybe when they come to Heathrow shortly... somehow run out of fuel just as the plane lands, taxi off the runway and stop just as they taxi off, open the front and baggage doors and passengers get their own bags and walk to the stand. All for just £34.99 one way!

great video as always matt. only thing i would improve is at egbb flybe leave one engine cold until theyre waiting at the runway. dunno wether its changed since i last flew out on one. i was thinking of getting the dash 8. this video has confirmed i need this haha!

I've Flown on an Air New Zealand Dash 8 Q300 on a domestic flight and they are great to be a passenger on.

+Matt Davies When i start my plane the screens do self testing the turn on, but the PFD doesnt and the 2 screens on the right side dont. ( I have the majestic dash 8 normal version not pro) help please thanks

I purchased the dash 8 yesterday, but I have no idea how to fly it. Today, spent 3 hours on figuring out how to fly it, but no luck. It would be nicw if you can make a tutorial for it. Thanks a lot!
By the way, I would like to point out that the "notorious breakdowns" in RW Dash 8 operations (if you're referring to the series of landing gear incidents) ended up turning out to be SAS skimping on required maintenance.

Flybe. Faster Than Road Or Rail. But we took a page out of Ryanair's book and if you want to actually get off the plane at an airport terminal, you have to pay extra for the taxi fuel.

how do you before use GSX during share cockpit how does it work?
I'd have tried landing with flap 5 and props in cruise setting. Not sure I'd have got much further, but would've made the approach even more fun :p

What scenery do you use for the UK? FTX England or something else?
You mentioned Navigraph Charts causing you problems. If you have an iPad, I highly recommend you use their iPad app. The app itself is free as long as you have a subscription/account with them (which I assume you do) to log into it.

I think a good idea for videos is practicing how to deal with facilities in different aircraft.
ROFL At least you got it on the ground. Passengers may not like the walk to the terminal, but at least they are not DEAD.
