You are truly amazing! This journey you are on can be so life altering! Our daughter lost her son, our grandson, to SIDS at the tender age of 2 months and 22 days old. Our daughter was at the tender age of 19. At first, his death pulled her and her husband closer. But as time passed, he blamed her - even though the autopsy showed no signs or fault of anything other than SIDS. To watch your child go through something as traumatic as the death of her son….I can’t even put it into words. I am so glad to see you be involved in the crusade to end childhood cancer and to turn this negative into a positive. My daughter turned to drugs. She was lost and in a very dark place for a long time! I, too, felt so lost. I couldn’t reach her. Fast forward to now, Tristen would be 19 now. Kristina, our daughter is in a very good place in her life. We are extremely close.
I saw your LIVE one night on TikTok. I binge watched every video! Jocelyn was put here for a reason and when we have accomplished what God put us here to accomplish, the He calls us home. The laughter that she brought to so many is unparalleled! If she hadn’t been diagnosed with cancer, none of us would know her or you and your amazing family! That being said, stay public and working for the good! But, as a Mom whose daughter went through the loss of a child, please take time to grieve. Grieve with your husband, your precious twins and alone. There is no time table on grief. You and your family owe none of us anything!

I would love to hear more about advocacy… like, how did you get your voice heard with all the medical stuff with Jocelyn. I by no means have the same situation, however I deal with a lot of medical stuff with my oldest and am currently expecting a baby with CHD. In my experience, doctors (for the most part) act as if they know everything and me as the parent knows nothing, even when it comes to baselines of how a child is. What worked best for you to have your voice heard while at appointments?
