- For the full overview and cut list of how to build an 8 Frame Langstroth Hive check out our blog post - www.revivalwoods.com/blog/201...
Building a beehive is one of the most rewarding woodworking projects. We built several 8 Frame Langstroth hives for our bee yard (apiary) from materials at the local lumber store. While the 10 frame hive is more commercially accepted, the 8 frame hive can be made efficiently from 8' boards. By following our cut list, you can make 4 boxes from 3 8' boards and build beehives cheaper than you can buy! We built the brood boxes, honey supers, solid bottom board, inner cover and a fancy gable outer cover. Just add bees!

Cut List for the project is here: www.revivalwoods.com/blog/201...

OMG, best tech video without talking it to death. Thanks so much for this. It's exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you for your work
Wish I can get a list of the equipment used here.
Awesome skills mate.
👍🏼😁
Great technique video. I also enjoyed checking out what looks to be perhaps a Thompson 18 or similar vessel in the back. You can't beat wooden boats and beehives together in the same place.
Thanks! The boat is actually a 1958 15' Lyman. Wooden boats were my first passion, but beekeeping is catching up!
You make it look so easy, but in reality 🤯 🤣
You make it look easy.
Thanks! It’s a fun project and it gets easier each time I make a hive!
Лайк, подписка. Удачи коллега, мира и добра.👏
Nice one 👌👌👍👍
👍 that was cool
Lol. Awesome video. Great work. :)
You should consider switching to Titebond III for hive boxes. They get exposed to quite a bit of moisture and sunshine.
Excellent, man you work fast. Lol very nice project. Do you paint or treat them in some way?
wish I had the equipment to have a go at making my boxes. Awesome work though, very neat!
Hello my fellow beekeeper. Do or can you build Layen frames?
Good stup👍
How long does it take you to complete 1 hive?
Great video!!!! The gig for cutting the notches in the boards is what I was missing. I've been thinking on how to do those notches for several days.
Hi , me too ( for notches ) 🙂
Are you using plain old yellow pine?
What size of blades do you use?
Man your fast!!
The title should be "watch me build a hive", not HOW to build a hive.
Hello Bill - There is a link in the description to our website for a full guide on how to build all the hive components - if you are interested in digging deeper into your own build.
@@revivalwoodworks1272 I was just trying to be funny BTW. It was a great video, lol
Hey there! Do you have a site where you sell this bee hive frames?
Nice to see.. 👍 What wood do you use?
Common pine I can get at a local lumber store. I hope to make some more boxes using hardwoods I had milled recently for really fancy boxes!
Im looking for measurments for pieces
Which blade is that sir?
mantap
I was kind a looking for a video to make me have boxes without having a whole wood shop ,,for the average Joe we just needed something With house tools
This could be done with simple hand tools, maybe a circular saw, some chisels. There are always bigger, better tools to be had. The challenge is to do it with the tools YOU have.
All he is using is a table saw
i want to buy four of these where can i get it
I don't have the blade to cut the corner joints like you have until you tell me the measurements on a rabbit cut for the corners of the box
I'm pretty sure it's in the description
@@creziegudgirl6893 have built a lot of boxes since I asked that question but thank you for getting back to me
Do you sell these? I would take two :)
Hi,
what is the size blade?
It is a dado stack at 3/4".
Good job Bro, what make is your table saw pllease! Thanks
The dimension plaise
I feel like he’s done this before.
faster than fastest
Where is thew FRAME construction? The rest of this is easy....
Good skills, but if you don't show the measurements of it! It's just a video of you making something, is not a how to!
sorry no thumbs up, If I am going to watch a how to video, I want a little instruction.
No Problem - I would invite you to check out our website, which has a 5 part, step-by-step, guide to building all the hive components! The video supports the posts and adds a visual how-to. Good Luck with your hives!
Dude this guy needs to slow down, these saws are dangerous! ;)
