It took me 4 kids to realise thats exactly the items baby needs. No more , no less. 😂 I had 3 boys and they are all different seasons babies. 4th one is a girl and I went nuts with a clothes shopping 😂 5th one I dont know yet but buying only minimum like ypu. Thank you for the video.

5 kids! You're a hero in my eyes 😍😂 It's so easy to buy loads, especially for a girl, but definitely for the first 3 months, it can be so much simpler than we make it 🤣 Congrats on your 5th!! ♡♡

Thank you so much . This video is great help for me ! Please what size for the jacket/pram suit? Do you suggest up to 1 month or 0-3 ?

Do you layer the vests under the sleepsuit or when would you use the vests otherwise? My baby will be born in November, so just wondering if we still need vests, or purely just sleepsuits ? Lol

Hi, a silly question but does baby wear a vest under sleepsuit? 8 months with my first and not sure how to dress a baby!

The rule of thumb is baby should have one more layer on than an adult.

I dare to disagree. Footies are terrible for nappy changes. For me it was a shirt and a swaddle. I only had a warm thick footie for going outside. Well, my baby was born in winter and the heating was already provided. But I would prefer a thick swaddle to a footie; and a blanket for breastfeeding. At least at the beginning. What's the point in a foote when you have to take it whole off for a nappy change. Baby is cold anyway. But I only swaddle in the first weeks. Depending on the child preferences. If the baby doesn't like swaddling, I would probably prefer socks over a footie and you can even check if baby is cold or too hot.

I believe the thing most first time mommies don't realize is that baby ca use a blanket in the pram/stroller because 1) you are awake AND 2) you keep watching them. The SIDS recommendation are for sleeping when unwatched mainly. And even those allow a blanket if stucked under the mattress at the bottom of the crib. You can swaddle baby in a special blanket for every season. These pram suits are useless for newborn, expensive and too difficult to put on. 😅 Well, but do what you find best fitting for yourself. It's a hard time the first month especially. After first month I did switch to footies gradually. Because my baby started to roll very early. I didn't do tummy time with her until the first month was over and she still hitted her motor skills milestones very early. I did the natural breastfeeding position almost all of the time though. 😅 Up to you, up to you. Every family is different.

Thanks for your comments, they may help someone else out! The only thing I found is when I used a blanket instead of a pramsuit, my baby would kick it off/wriggle out of it, so it was always easier to just put that extra layer on. Did you have to keep changing the swaddle everytime baby did a poop explosion? We had so many poonamis so found it cheapest & easier to change the sleepsuit ♡♡

@@lottiejlife It would be possible to wash my swaddle... They could even be boil.. Just a white cotton square shaped piece of cloth. My baby never kicked the blanket off while swaddled, at least for the first month. 😲 And I thought I had active baby who moved around the crib just few days old. 😂 Well, each baby is different. We also washed the clothes every 3-4days. For me 4 pieces of anything were enough. My baby pooped only every fifth day (which was ok according to the doctor) but when she did, it was a looot, but even if some escaped, only a little bit, I immediately placed it in cold water and washed when I had time and then boil or UV disinfectation. I did have a bunch of swaddles though, four or five. But close to second month she started to roll, then when I abandoned the swaddles and switched to socks and jumpsuits. At three months she started to roll on her tummy. Since then it was a very hard work to change her diaper. Footies would get me crazy. Inside I didn't give her socks because it was too hot thanks to heating. Outside she wore the footie and thick swaddle. But it depends on the temperature outside and how long you plan to stay. I always went in the afternoon when it was 5 to 10 degrees. She was always cozy and warm when we returned back home. I really can't imagine getting her into pramsuit all by myself. She was always on her tummy since she learned to roll. She refused to stay on her back. Diaper changes were nightmares. Until she was like 8-9 months and started to understand language. She did started to knock off the blanket when she turned 3-4 months old. But it was already spring. I would just rolled the blanket so it would under her too. Kinda like a loose swaddle.

But... My baby never took off the socks when she was cold, she only did it when she was too hot in them. Later when she started to eat socks. I bought very long socks. These she couldn't accidentally take off while nimbling on them.

One annoying thing about socks is... If baby poops... You have to take them off otherwise they could get dirty too. 😂 but if there's only urine, then no need.
