    I said in the video a positive point was that I liked how it felt on the lips, before I went into my other points, I do like Creme brule, but all the others I do not like! I dont have a problem with them being sheer, they are actually not sheer enough in some cases when the colour makes me look washed out! x

    I have some Korres ones yes =] - Its not just the colour of the YSL but the consistency, I've tried some others and they have the same consistency! Thank you though! xx

    I don't know which colors of the Revlon Lip Butters you've tried. But I have Sweet Tart and Strawberry Shortcake and they are really strong pinks. The pigmentation is a lot better than some of the lighter colors. Thanks so much for doing this video! You're amazing!

    I feel like you just dethroned the most hyped products currently on TH-cam, blogs and such. I loved it, it's refreshing to watch different opinions on products like this. Loved the video and love your lip colour! xoxo from Portugal!

    For the Bourgeois product, yes, you have to wash your hands after, with warm soapy water actually. Even if you use acetone or something similar to take off your nail polish you have to wash your hands: 1. because it (the liquid) affects your hands/fingers and cuticles and 2. because if you apply another nail varnish after that, that liquid will decrease its resistance.

    I love the Revlon Lip Butters! There are soooo many shades here. Maybe you don't have all of the colours there? The Peach Parfait seems to be a universally pleasing shade for a more natural lip look. I got some that are really bold with a TON of colour payoff. I know some of them don't have quite as much, but there certainly are some with a lot. Also, the formulas vary among the Lip Butters. Some are shimmery, some are not, some are sheer, some are opaque, some are creamy, some are glossy.

    I read this somewhere, but If you're using a water-based foundation, you need to make sure the products you use prior are water-based also. It would separate if you mixed them up as oil is lighter than water therefore it would all unsettle on your skin?

    I completely agree with you about the eos balm didn't like it at all, my fav Revlon lip butters are pink truffle, red velvet, raspberry pie, berrie smoothie they are a bit more pigmented than the one you have, would be better on ur skin tone and well...they smell great (hope those colors r available in the UK) and I love the lip color you have on

    With the nailvarnish remover, if you leave it on your nails without washing your hands, it sinks in after a few seconds and makes your hands pretty soft. You should try it out!

  • @Elyezabeth
    @Elyezabeth 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love my Revlon lip butters, but I only own a few, and I bought them on sale. I didn't understand the massive rush among so many girls to rush out and buy every shade in the line immediately, for full price, given how similar many of the shades look once they're actually on. They're nice, to me, because I like the more sheer hint of color, but they're certainly nothing astounding.

  • @TheSpillinator
    @TheSpillinator 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Weird how products can work so differently for everyone! I absolutely love the revlon lip butters! I currently have 5 shades, I bought 3 last night too. I know what you mean about them being very sheer, to make mine last longer and have a better colour I use No7s lip liner in nude or caramel and it creates a good dry base for the lip butter. You can make the colour more intense by building up the colour by running the lip butter over your lips a few times. You can also get them for £5 on ebay :)

  • @weezeable
    @weezeable 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Interesting I was about to buy the nail polish remover, I tried the Nailene remover jar and it removes polish reasonably quickly including getting the polish at the sides by the nail walls. Yes it leaves your fingers look dried out and a little white looking but once you wash your hands its fine. I tend to wash my hands after using any nail polish remover just to get all the remover off before I then apply the polish. x

    I know what you mean about the ysl rouge voloupte. I have quite pigmented lips and I find that the lipstick moves around but then I found is that you have to let it set before you smacked your lips together. The other colours are gorgeous in those though x

  • @msLanniee
    @msLanniee 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I totally agree with the ysl lipstick. It costs so much in Australia and it doesn't last long at all. I understand what you mean about the texture! I've only had it for about a year and took it out again to use it this winter but noticed it was grainy... didn't last long at ALL. so disappointed

    I'm not a huge fan of the EOS products but if you're looking for a better working, more tingly revitalizing type of this, try the light green blue version of these! It's much more soothing and it really feels like its working and it has the minty smell to it as well :) love your hair by the way, it looks amazing in that shade!

    I agree with a lot of your verdicts (especially the 1 sec remover, I just don't see the point) but really disagree with the EOS thing! I have about three just because they are pretty much the only thing to actually moisturise my lips properly. I always put it on last thing at night and first thing in the morning and it has completely eliminated dry lips, I love them! Maybe it's like with skin moisturisers, some suit some more than others. X

  • @Ulala6
    @Ulala6 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sammi definitelyyyy try a darker shade from the rouge volupte lipstick. My go to is the peach passion one I think you'd love! The trick is not apply like a mac lipstick, because it's much creamier. Blot so its like a stain, then use a lip brush to achieve your desired texture xxx

    I couldn't agree more about the Chanel Vitalumier foundation, EOS Chapstick, and Revlon Lip Butter in creamsicle none of those products worked up to the hype. However I do like the lip butter in strawberry shortcake.

  • @lacleo1
    @lacleo1 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love the Chanel foundation, it's my go to. It's not really a long lasting foundation(it doesn't claim to be), but you could try mixing it with another foundation and see if that works for you.

  • @etebrillant3573
    @etebrillant3573 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes the creamsicle color is super super pale! Also I feel like the lip butters feel moisturizing when I put them on but eventually dries up my lips!

  • @fashionablypixelated
    @fashionablypixelated 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I bought the YSL in the same shade as you too and absolutely regretted it, however I do own in in a darker red and its basically my holy grail! I think it might just be the colour because I'm around the same skin tone as you. Try it in maybe another shade? or test it out but honestly i love the YSL lipsticks they're amazing if you find the right colour x

  • @imlowiniron
    @imlowiniron 12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I completely agree about the Chanel foundation, it also turns orange after a short amount of time:/ and you're right about the YSL lipsticks they are overpriced for how long they last!

  • @kcat200

    I agree about the Loreal primer. I felt like my skin was suffocating. However, I love the EOS lip balms.

  • @Evilstepqueen
    @Evilstepqueen 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think the Benefit blush "Bella Bamba" would look better on your skintone than the Sugar Bomb. I have a lighter olive skin and Sugar Bomb shows up on me, but I have to swirl the brush in the brightest color the most (you can tell, I'm showing pan in the brightest color only). Have you tried the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation? I have oily skin and have really good results with it staying and wearing nicely :D

  • @RebekahLydia
    @RebekahLydia 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Have you tried using the YSL lipstick on top of a darker lipstick, or mixed with another colour? That's how I use mine and I like the sheen it gives. I agree it doesn't last, it's so creamy! But the packaging is so darn beautiful! XO

  • @vs818812
    @vs818812 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    i totally agree with the EOS balm, the hype is ridiculous when there are so many other cheaper balms that work 10 times better and when i first tried a lip butter i hated them too! but now i really like them for when i want to tone down my lip colors for school and i can build it up a little if i wanted to

  • @melanielove90
    @melanielove90 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think the main reason for the loreal smoothing primer is to smooth, not make your makeup last and apply a lot easier so much, like you mentioned. But as far as smoothing out the fine lines I think it's great..

  • @ThePomidor420
    @ThePomidor420 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Oh I definately agree about the EOS lip balms, but mostly because I live in sweden and they are much much MUCH more expensive here. While they cost about 3-4 dollars in the US, they cost about 89 swedish KR, which is a little over 13 dollars...

  • @claudiaa.mariaaa
    @claudiaa.mariaaa 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Definitely agree about the revlon lip butters! I wanted so badly to love them and when I tried them the colors really just didn't show up for me! They feel nice but are way too much for the payoff, or lack there of rather.

  • @AllChintzAndFluff

    awww so honest! thank you! i totally understand what you said about the chanel vitalumiere aqua - i DO love this foundation, however, it has gone patchy on me before! i am a dry combo skin so it works on me most of the time, but is has gone patchy on me after, say 5 hours, before.

    I actually really like the Revlon lip butters. I only have the Cotton Candy color, but I feel like it looks good on the lips, and 7 pounds in norwegian money isn't really that much, since Norway is generally a more expensive country. They don't have them here, but I bought mine in London :) But it nice to know what to buy, and what you should think about more!

    i have the vitalumiere chanel foundation, mac powder, ysl lipstick, lip butter...i love my mac natural powder a little goes a long way...ysl lipstick yes there are better lipsticks...my lip butter i rarely use as well..but i like the way it feels...ive repurchased my chanel foundation but when im done with it i think i will be looking for something else...but ive enjoyed it.

    I have the Revlon lip butter in Cremesicle I have to say that is my least favorite shade I have tried. I absolutely love Candy Apple, Red Velvet, Fig Jam, and Berry Smoothie though (I pretty sure those are the names)! I wear them all the time!

  • @vness760

    I can relate to your sugarbomb experience. Coralista by Benefit doesn't show up on my skin. My skin tone is more golden, but not very dark and all that shows up is the shimmer in it. No coral blush color at all. Disappointment! I wanted to try the Hoola blush, but if the coralista one didn't work for me, and the Hoola one looks like it matches my skin, I doubt it will work for me either... Sigh...

    REVLON lip butters, yes, I completely agree with you about theese! I wantd to get one for a while, but I couldn't find any nice color in their collection. they just seem too sparkly and the colours aren't very wearable. plus the price is quite dissapointing as well :(

I feel like you're being so truthful and I liked how you chose some popular products, it shows you're not scared of being critical. • @ratatat
    @ratatat 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    That's so strange that you also didn't like the lip butters. Every time I'm at the drugstore, I spend most of the time in front of the Revlon lip butter section swatching the products trying to decide if it looks good or not but either way in the end, I always walk away empty handed. On the other hand, that tutorial you did using NYX Sao Paulo lip creme. I bought it and fell in LOVE! It looks ridiculously better once its sort of faded and it makes my lips look so full. Thanks for introducing!

    @beautycrush re. Chanel vitalumiere... Have you tried switching your moisturiser when using this product? As it is a water based foundation you will need to be using a water based moisturiser. If your moisturiser is oil based then the foundation will slide off. Great vid by the way :-) love the colour of the ysl lipstick xxx

    I think I would agree with Bourjois varnish remover, I feels it's unsanitary too. Redipping into the liquid repeatedly... And I always wash my nails after using a moisturizing varnish remover to get rid of the sticky feeling. For revlon lip butters, I'm impressed with the formula but not the color selection.

    For the lipstick colours that you have bought that you find to be too light you should use a light brown lip liner and blend the edge really really well. It tones it down and its not like the awful 80's/90's dark lip line and light lip colour...it actually just helps it blend into your skin tone! Might help? Sorry Lip Butters are so expensive there! In Canada they aren't too bad, I like Lollipop :)

    More More please~! Try to use the primer only on your eyelids only...The cream one suppose to make your eye shadow stays longer and contrast. Use another type eg. liquid form primer for your skin before the foundation. Because it suppose to protect your skin and make it more easy to put the foundation on. Lancome is my favourite now, and chanel smells nice but kind of sticky XX.
