aww this is probably the kindest "regret" type of review! i love that you dont bash the entire company and seem to be really honest about the individual product..thanks! (:
I really appreciate how well you explain why you do not like certain products. It helps a lot more than someone just saying that a product is "bad". I love Creme Anglaise for all of the reasons you gave for not liking it ;) Thanks for being descriptive!
I love your make up in this video, its has colour but isn't too colourful and it still looks quite natural and cute, love it. I'm going to try to imitate that tomorrow!
With the smudging eye-liner, try a make-up base that it can stick to well or even put hairspray on a q-tip and put it over the eyeliner. For the runny liquid eyeliner, go over it with a pencil and it usually won't bleed, and for the yellow nail polish, do a few coats and let it dry well between coats, or start off with a white polish before you apply the yellow. Sometimes with make-up new products you have to try a few different techniques before you get it the way you want it.
you're so pretty!! this is the first video of yours I've seen and I know already Ill visiting your channel a lot! I do agree with some of these products and I really like the lighting and how your mak looks, hopefully I'll find a makeup tutorial on your channel hehe :)
For the Aussie heat protectant: I had the SAME problem. I didn't want to throw it away, so I switched the spray bottle head with one of the Tresseme bottles, and it worked like a charm. For the yellow nail polish, I had a neon yellow one that had the same problem. Coat your nails with a white first, then put a couple coats of the yellow. Sometimes that works.
For the black eyeliner pencil you can press a black matte eye shadow with a angle brush over top the liner. This will help to prevent the smudging, but i can't promise anything! If it really smudges to the extreme then it wont help, but I think it could work, give it a shot!
I might be late in suggesting this, but about your sparkly red nailpolish that you wanted... have you tried Ruby Pumps by China Glaze? it is the most beautiful sparkly red, it looks a little pink-y on the first layer, but after the second it is a beautiful crimson-y sparkly red. It is my all time favorite nail color.
Also, look up Julep nail polish - they are starting to be carried in sephora - but they are releasing their summer line soon which has a very bright yellow creme and their nail polish is so opaque you could get away with one coat - I'm getting the yellow next month in june - the swatches on their blog look sooo pretty!!
for the yellow nail polish, try it with a coating of white nail polish under it. i had a really pretty pink nail polish that was extremely sheer, but i painted my nails one coat of white and then 2 coats of the pink and it looked awesome!
I love the aveeno scrub. The way I use it, I barely wet my face and that makes the scrub more grainy and exfoliating. At the same time, I like that it can be gentle when wetting your face before using it.
i use both of those aveeno cleansers and i have literally been using them for 3 years! they work great if you have semi-dry skin. removes make up like a charm and the scrub isn't too abrasive which i like because too much scrubbing is terrible for your skin. be gentle with your skin!
I recently bought the Aussie heat protectant/shine as well. The spraying aspect of it is correct, but it is not sticky. You're probably just using too much if your hair is sticky. I think it smells really good and my hair looks better after using it.
I had the same nail polish problem with one I got from Forever 21, BUT... Avon has a yellow called "Sunshine" that has an amazing color payoff. It is so nice, only one coat needed. I recommend it if you are still looking for a yellow that works really well.
If you're looking for a really sparkly red nail polish, try Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nail colour in "Red Carpet". It's my all time fav. ruby red sparkly polish and the good thing with that brand is that it's pretty durable. I can put it on and know that I have a few days of polish before it starts to chip.
Hey Ingrid! I love you videos and your shining personality! If you're still on the hunt for a "Happy Yellow" nail polish, try Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in the color Lightening. It's bright, fun and NOT sheer!!! I love it!
If you're looking for a great heat protector for your hair, I really love dove's heat defense. I think I got it from the dollar store. It smells really good, and I usually use it as a detangler when I get out of the shower. Keeps hair silky soft :)
With the Aussie heat spray, I agree you can't use t on dry hair without it becoming greasy. But it works WONDERFUL for me when my hair is wet! I use it after my showers, & before I dry my hair with the blow dryer, I apply the Aussie heat tamer all over my hair. & once my hair is dry, it is SO SOFT & SMOOTH. & what surprised me is that it doesn't let your hair look greasy afterwards. Maybe you should try it?? ( don't know if this would change the results, but I have thin, light brown, about mid-
For the eyeliner to prevent the running you should put on some black shadow on top of the line you draw, thats something that really helped me and also helps the eyeliner to stay longer and cleaner, hope it helps!! Natalia
with the MAC Smolder pencil it helps to take an angled eyeliner brush and dip it in a black eyeshadow and apply it over the eyeliner to prevent smudging and create and smoother looking line
wow... the Aveeno exfoliator is my favorite of all time. it does exfoliate very well and it removes all makeup, it leaves my skin squeaky clean - nothing but clean skin. What I like the most about it is that it doesn't feel like you already wore a moisturizer ( because I like to use my own moisturizer) and again squeaky clean but it doesn't feel like your skin was aggravated. bottom line: it cleanse very well and it doesn't hurt your skin.
I've used both of the treseme heat tamer spray and the aussie one. I have to agree with you. The treseme one had a better spray bottle than the aussie one but I liked both of them because they worked. I am using Aussie right now, only because Walmart didn't have the Treseme one. And so Yeah, I have noticed the spraying only gets one part of my hair too, where as the Treseme got everywhere. But as for the heat "protecting" part, I think it works fine.
I completely agree about the aussie shine spray! Ugh! I went to spray it on and expected it to be a nice mist, but ended up with a bunch of greasy wet spots on my hair!
I have a solution for the yellow nail polish! I have a neon yellow nail polish by China Glaze and it's veryyyy sheer. But I find if you put a coat of white nail polish on first, then apply a few coats of the yellow polish, it looks great! I'm not sure if it will work for you...but I think it will! You should give it a try.
If you like the Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray you should try the Tresemme Anti-Frizz Secret Smoothing Creme!! My hair used to be so so frizzy but now it is so soft and smooth!!!
you should try the dove style+care thermal replenishment spray. it leaves my hair soft and it smells awesome and the dry shampoo from dove is amazing too!
The easy & very cheap way to fix poorly pigmented nail polish is to buy some similarly colored pigment from Coastal Scents or another company that sells pigments & dump it in the bottle. Use a little, shake really well, apply, check the pigmentation. If still not enough, add more until it is. I've done this many times myself without any problems. You can even make your own custom colors like this.
have you ever tried lathering the squeaky green shampoo bar straight to the hair instead of on your hand? It works so much better and then you just have to give a good rinse to your hair.
i love that most of the products even tho you dont care for them you are saying things that are great about them. Thanks for not being 100 percent negative!
For the Aussie, I'd say to hit the sprayer as far as you can, and then if it still get's a patch of your hair, sort of rub it in to incorporate like you would for hair essence :) I'm sure you've tried that though! Thanks for the product review!
i use the aussie heat protectant.. it's only meant to be used on wet or damp hair... that may be why you found it sticky... it makes may hair feel silky and soft when i use it...
After watching the video where you went to Target and bought a ton of Aveeno products I decided to try the brightening cleanser. I'm really not a fan of it either. I like some exfoliation or at least some lather.
I have the aussie heat protectant and I completely agree it makes my hair sticky and odd feeling. I also don't like the weird sprayer it only gets a tiny little patch of hair. I am now going to try what you use, the tresame heat tamer spray.
the reason the heat protector spray squirted like that is because the opening gets clogged and if you let it soak in hot water for a bit it should help and spray the way its meant to. that happened with the pantene one i had. i know you dont like it but maybe somebody else has had that problem and this may help.
I really like the Aveeno gentle exfoliating face wash. I feel like it brightened up my complexion when it was looking dull. It's supposed to be gentle so it can be used everyday.
hi, heres a little tip: if you paint a coat of white on your nails before the actual color, that yellow will come out as vibrant as it looks in the bottle!
I use the Aussie heat protecting spray, but I only use it when I'm drying my air. But, if I use it when I straighten or curl it, I would run it through my finger then work my fingers through my hair (: but I do agree with you. Tresemme is WAY better!
I just bought the tresemme heat spray, and I would have to agree its great, it dos't leave your hair all dry feeling, and it leaves your hair so shiney.
I love the aveeno face scrubbing pads, they are amazing! Also the lotion is great too but that's all I've tried. I thought they really did brighten my skin and knocked out my breakouts.
I had the same problem with nail polish before. I bought a purple sparkly shade of Ice nail polish and I thought it would be bright color but it was just really dull. I liked your makeup in this video.
I love the aussie heat protectant, I usually just spray it in my my hair then brush through my hair so it spreads. Or ill spray it on my hairbrush then brush through my hair. I think it smells really good, and it makes my hair super soft
You can get the yellow to show better by painting your nails white first. of course the yellow polish will need like 3/4 coats to opaque. but it's worth a shot.
if you want a shimmery, glittery red polish, ruby pumps by china glaze is my favourite! although it may be difficult to remove sometimes, it's worth it to me!(:
"Panda eyes" haha there's a panda in the back!
opi makes a pretty yellow nail polish called cabana banana
your voice makes me happy. You seem like just a really happy person.
she's sucha sweetheart
omg the teal on your inner tear duct matches the scarf! so cute!
these makeup mayhem videos feel like your old videos to me! it's awesome
you're so positive, it seems like you can't say anything bad about a product! new subscriber right here :)
aww this is probably the kindest "regret" type of review! i love that you dont bash the entire company and seem to be really honest about the individual product..thanks!
(:
Ingrid, I'm so glad you're back to doing beauty videos! I love your vlogs, but your beauty videos are what made me fall in love with you!
And it is gorgeous on your nails too! It's my favorite red polish EVER
your eye make-up is so pretty here. love the colors!
i love how your inner corner highlight matches the color of your scarf!! :)
I really appreciate how well you explain why you do not like certain products. It helps a lot more than someone just saying that a product is "bad". I love Creme Anglaise for all of the reasons you gave for not liking it ;)
Thanks for being descriptive!
The eyeshadow ob your inner corner is super pretty! You should do a makeup tutorial using that mint greenish color and like a pastel pink
I love your make up in this video, its has colour but isn't too colourful and it still looks quite natural and cute, love it. I'm going to try to imitate that tomorrow!
I love when you make this kind of videos, they're really useful :)
your eye makeup is really pretty with the blue!

I'm really glad you said the Aveno Positively Radiant was a gentle scrub, because I have very sensitive skin, so I'll go check that out! Thanks!
if you put white nail polish under the yellow or any sheer color like that, it comes out a lot more vibrant!
you're so pretty!! this is the first video of yours I've seen and I know already Ill visiting your channel a lot! I do agree with some of these products and I really like the lighting and how your mak looks, hopefully I'll find a makeup tutorial on your channel hehe :)
your makeup looks gorgeous c: and you and luke look good together c:

You can also make the kohl liner last longer and make it smudge proof by dabbing black eyeshadow directly on it with an angle brush
I was actually planning on buying the aveeno scrub tomorrow, I'm glad I decided to watch this video before! Saves me from wasting cash :)

Ingrid! Please do a Summer essentials vid for both beauty and fashion and also a vid for ur fav beauty and fashion trends!! Plleaasseee!!
I agree with you on the scrubs. I like having a great scrub that actually feels as though it is exfoliating.
for the yellow nail polish, try it with a coating of white nail polish under it. i had a really pretty pink nail polish that was extremely sheer, but i painted my nails one coat of white and then 2 coats of the pink and it looked awesome!

a good tip for sheer polishes is to keep them open for about 10 minutes then shake them up and it should thicken the pigment more
with the MAC Smolder pencil it helps to take an angled eyeliner brush and dip it in a black eyeshadow and apply it over the eyeliner to prevent smudging and create and smoother looking line
I'm in LOVE with your scarf! So PRETTY! :D
I love the pop of turquoise in your inner corners!

Yes, i agree with the aussie heat protectant, it squirts directly at one area so used have to use so much just to cover one strand.
you look SO pretty in this video!
omg you hate my favorite eyeliner! i love it! that loreal eyeliner is really good for the price for anyone watching!
Bold brows look so good on you!
I've used both of the treseme heat tamer spray and the aussie one. I have to agree with you. can you show us ure favoritee liquid liners and probably how to use them ! plzz i know a lot of people needs this type of video
you should try the dove style+care thermal replenishment spray. it leaves my hair soft and it smells awesome and the dry shampoo from dove is amazing too!

I love this vid! Same complaints with almost all of those products :( ANYWAY, what lipgloss and/or lipstick are you wearing in this vid? I LOVE IT!
have you ever tried lathering the squeaky green shampoo bar straight to the hair instead of on your hand? It works so much better and then you just have to give a good rinse to your hair.
i loveee the foaming cleanser
i love that most of the products even tho you dont care for them you are saying things that are great about them. Thanks for not being 100 percent negative!
For the Yellow Brick Road, use a chalk white polish as a base and the yellow will pop.
I LOVE the lorea'l lineur intense! Its like one of my top 5 products.
Your makeup looks so pretty!!!!!

Your makeup and nails match your duvet! So cute :)
