I used to be a Neonatal ICU nurse. My sister had twin girls and I took care of them when she delivered. I had to bag Baby B to get her breathing. I took care of them for a week during their stay in NICU due to their prematurity. My sis was a flight attendant and her husband a pilot, so they would stay with me when they were tiny babies!
The oldest twin, Lindsey, just got married this last weekend. Lauren gets married in Nov.
To me, they’re still little toddlers... they grow up so quickly!

Our twins shared for 7 months, at that time our twins got separate cribs/still same room because when they get to wakin' each other up I wanted the sleeping baby to keep sleeping. Wilder, his sweet voice as I'm doin' my "mom chores" makes my heart SO happy. Thank you for all you share, blessings all!

"I growed bigger and den I got strong." Wilder I raised a baby sparrow when I was Joyful's age too. That's cool she has this opportunity. I named the bird Roadrunner and trained it come to my whistle. It was so much fun watching it grow and it taught me a lot about birds. After it was flying I would take it outside to stretch it's wings and to eat bugs. It would fly from my hand to the fence or a tree and come back. Then one day it flew off didn't come back when I called for it. I saw the bird only a few times after that as it would chirp at me from the fence if it saw me come outside.

I am proud of you art my son didn't have to do this but after his dad died the pressure tank went out the hot water heater went out and we started licking water in the basement all of these actually happened on his birthday each year he does not any longer look forward to a birthday which is sad he says it's a little bit of payback for not wanting to learn when Dad was trying to teach him. It is truly amazing what you have to keep an eye on on a regular basis whether you are really looking at it or if you're just in that area and peek at it the pressure gauge on the water tank or the upkeep on things try to keep up we were behind. The worst happened it is dad passed away with pancreatic cancer and about 9 weeks not enough time to learn at that point. I love you guys take care do the best you can and pay attention that's all I can say

As a mom of twins- they'll share as long as it takes for them to start waking each other up when they get fussy. I always kept my twins on the same schedule -whether they were awake or not, time to get up and eat, change, etc. Kept us sane. lol. Once they start waking each other up is another story.

When I tried to save a baby bird I found feeding it by holding the food in a pair of tweezers and putting it into the mouth. This mimics the parent birds beak putting the food in the mouth. It worked well for me and maybe it would help someone trying to do this kind of thing.

Hi there, from western Massachusetts USA. When i was about 22 yo I saw a cat stalking something in my yard and it was a baby robin. I scared away the cat and watched from a distance but there was no concerned momma around for several hours. I raised it untill it was able to fly and fed it a bit for a few weeks after I let it go. Fed it tiny amounts of cheap canned cat food as well as worms. This is what a neighbor who asked a vet suggested. My worms were large so I had to cut them up. Yuck. That bird did well, hung out in that yard until late fall and would sit on a deck railing and talk to me. I think I saw it the next spring but was not sure. That was in southern NH. Glad you could help the little one you found.

When you spoke about the one goose, I immediately thought about The Goose Story, by Henry Clark Noyes. It can be found online in a PDF form. I was thinking about the ending part, "Finally, and this is important, when a goose gets sick, or is wounded by gunshots, and falls out of formation, two other geese fall out with that goose and follow it down to lend help and protection. They stay with the fallen goose until it is able to fly or it dies, and only then do they launch out on their own or with another formation to catch up with their group. ..."

I never thought about the fumes 40 odd years ago when my kids were babies. We took the car seats in the house in Alaska so we didn't freeze them and in Phoenix so we didn't cook them. Crazy how hot and or cold they can get. When my twins were babies I was at a mothers of multiples conference and one of the moms said her twins were 40 and in my 20 year old wisdom I thought to myself that they weren't really twins anymore. Now my twins are in their 40's and it's crazy how fast the years have flown...And yes they are still my twins! Love your littles while they are little, it passes faster than you imagine!!!

(things that you don't need very long like bassinets, etc. newborn clothes, maternity clothing, nursery things, changing table, walker. ) I love the knotty pine walls, we had this in my family cabin in the calif part of the sierras. it had a drywall ceiling painted white so it wasn't too dark. it was a old school chalet style cabin so tended to be dark. i need lots of natural light in my living space and kitchen.

Soak dog food in warm water. That's also a great way to feed baby birds. Watch "A chick named Albert" your kids will love his channel and very educational.

My sons cousin is a plumber. He always tells his clients that spending a bit more on connections and shut off valves will save money and time and inconvenience for years. PVC is good and can last a long time but it will crack and break specially at junctions and faucet connections. I used brass with all my faucet and shut offs after finding cracks in several places that were only 8 years old
