I’m 75 yrs old. My twin and I had synchronized heartbeats. Of course back then they didn’t do ultrasound. Doctor didn’t know there were two of us. Everyone was surprised.
My sister had twin girls in 1976 & didn't know til she was in the hospital in labor. Surprise! In 1980, she had a son. In 1982, she had another son. People often asked her if the boys were twins. Her reply ... "No, but my girls are." For the longest time, I would mix up the boys' names but I knew which girl was which.
I gave birth to twins in 1985. They too had synchronized heartbeats and no ultrasound was ever done on me. I carried them full term and delivered them normally and being surprised does not even begin to explain what that night was like. 36 years later, and I am still surprised and stunned that we had twins.(twins do NOT run in either of our families) They had a DNA test done a couple of years ago to see if they were identical. (which I always felt that they were) and yes, they are. And in the words of my dear mother in law about them being identical or not "It does not matter if they are identical or not, we are keepin' them either way". LOL
My parents also didn't know that I was a twin, they thought it was one baby who's heartbeat was bouncing off my mom's ribcage. So they were surprised as well. Unfortunately my mom got critically ill and we were premature, and we had to stay in incubator things for a few weeks and the 3 of us almost died. We didn't have names for like 2 weeks. My mom said that if my dad hadn't of stayed with her she probably would have passed away...scary times but we are all here and relatively healthy now 🥰
OH CONGRATULATIONS !!! How wonderful a Girl & a Boy- I am the youngest of 10 children & I turn 70 this year- My Mum had 7 girls & 3 boys. Large families are just wonderful. When I was in hospital having my now 34yr old Son there was a beautiful lady there having quadruplets- she was just huge & couldn't get out of bed so all of us other mums used to go visit with her, it was an exceptional experience. I had two brothers that were fraternal twins and they were always close!! I unfortunately lost one of my brothers a little over 20yrs ago. Congratulations 👏!!! My parents had three girls.. Decided to try once more for the boy and got twins. No ulta sound and my sister was born first, consider the excitement when 20 min later my brother was born. Home birth by the way.. we have been home birthing long before it was a thing :) Love this channel, love these people and all they bring to the homesteading community
I worked w/ a lady who had one boy first. A few yrs later they had boy & girl twins. She said they were afraid to get pregnant again for fear it would be triplets.
Yahoo! I have boy girl twins and they are amazing. Jacob is 17 and in the Army and Rebekah is home working and going to college. They are so close, they talk daily in some way and they lean on each other for all things. Twins are womb-mates from the start! Such a blessing!!!
So so exciting!!! We have twin boys that are almost 4 and didn’t find out I was pregnant with twins until 28 weeks. Seeing you pregnant with twins makes me want to have twins again ☺️

I’m sitting here with my coffee, outside in my garden, listening to the birds, and I’m crying! Happy tears. I’m so excited for y’all. I have identical twin brothers, Reno and Shiloh ( two places my dad loves). I’m 46 now and they were born when I was 12 and it was an amazing time. They dressed them in Reno/red, Shiloh/Blue so everyone could tell them apart. This is going to be one epic journey for all the kids. Congratulations and God bless. 🙏❤️
Denise, I wish they would consider Joy for the girl's name. Wouldn't that fit in the family list of names perfectly. This episode has me tearing-up for I lost fraternal twin boys at 14 & 16 weeks back in 1983. We were low income, my husband was away & it was just me & 2.5 year old daughter. I am so thrilled Bri has Art, the kids, sister, & grandparents for support + the homestead community. GOD BLESS everyone!

I had seven children as well, one at a time. Because I started motherhood young, and had spaced them out some, by the time I had my youngest 21 years later, my eldest grandson was due only a few months later! Lol I didn't have to get a bigger vehicle.
@@PatricesProjects Mine are 17 years apart from start to finish. We only needed the van for a few years. I am not yet a grandma but I’m so ready to be!! Babies that I don’t have to get up with!!! While they were younger, I loved the spacing. Now I’m looking at how many years I have left and I’m finding myself wishing my husband and I had a little more time for just us! I still have five at home, my youngest is five. I’ve loved it and wouldn’t change it though!!
My youngest is 20 and still at home. I so don't look forward to him moving out. I have been a mom almost all my life. My husband owns a business and works long hours nearly every day, so I would be alone most of the time. Not looking forward to that.

My doctor didn’t do them. But, from 4 months on I said I was having a boy. He’s going to be 36 now.

Congrats guys I was rooting for two girls, as long as they are healthy , God Bless. I am an older sister to triplets two girls and a boy, they are in their mid fifties now, one just became a Grandma.
