Police shut down conservative conference while Farage and Braverman on stage

- Police officers in Brussels moved to shut down a conservative conference “with immediate effect” while Nigel Farage was on stage.
Officers entered the venue hosting National Conservatism to serve a court order that demanded the conference be ended on the grounds it endangered public safety.
The police document, seen by The Telegraph, suggested speeches by speakers including Nigel Farage and Suella Braverman could lead to public disorder or display racist and homophobic views.
While the event organisers mount a court challenge against the order, the police agreed to let the conference continue but have prevented anyone from entering the venue.
The conference was already forced to relocate over the weekend after claims of “political pressure” from the mayor of Brussels.

This decision was not taken by the mayor of Brussels but by one of the mayors of one of the 19 municipalities that make up Brussels. The event takes place in the municipality of Saint Joss, whose mayor is a socialist of origin Turkish and who is in the pay of Erdogane

So Belgium isn't the UK? Wow. The Borough I lived in was run by a far-right mayor who thought it fair to breach the human rights of anyone dissenting. She lost, an all-time first in Belgian history, the people in the Borough saw the case we built. It's now Green, and asks them what they want done. It's inspired others. Now, Kir and Sadiq Khan are very similar, although Kir is in charge of a borough with a huge Muslim population, spreading into Anderlecht and Schaerbeek, adjoining boroughs.
