@voodo0983 her bill gives the government sweeping rights to curtail the freedom of citizens of this country to protest. Her government also introduced rules around voting, that she was un favour of, which had the aim of making it more difficult for people to vote (as stated by Jacob Rees-Mogg).

If you actually watched the discussion, you'd know what was said contained nothing of the sort.
What was said is that it was amusing that Braverman had received a taste of her own authoritarian medicine.
But the view expressed was that the actions of the Belgian authorities has potentially given those involved the ammunition they were seeking, despite the hypocrisy of the likes of Braverman in particular, given the kind of things she has said in the media and her bill that has given the British authorities greater power to curtail the right to peaceful protest.

I don’t agree with the views of this right wing conference but even looking at it from a purely selfish point of view I would still want that conference to take place. Cancelling these events is an infringement on freedom of speech. It gets taken from these people today it might get taken away from me or someone else tomorrow.
