      @@maythamibrahim9751, I used dental decks part 2 and mental dental. I read another book but I do not recommend it cause everything important there is mentioned in the mental dental videos.

    I got my Pass for the INBDE this afternoon and I want to thank you doctor Ryan for all the amazing content you’ve posted, now I can attest that all these comments here thanking you are true! Your videos were my main source of content in the 2 weeks and a half of intense studying I did (besides his videos I used INBDE mastery app to practice questions and that’s it). I graduated dentistry in Brazil 7 years ago so your videos were a great help since some topics I saw in school more than 11 years ago. May Gos bless you and your family greatly!!

    Thank you so much! It wasn't very clear for me if a competent patient, a minor's implied consent is legal and the dentist can work upon?! Can we work for a 14 Y/O patient with their own implied consent(assent) without their parents approval?

    • @mentaldental
      @mentaldental  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say that depends if it is an emergency or not!

    • @ammoula2974
      @ammoula2974 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mental Dental sorry Ryan! this is confusing to me! Minors can give an implied consent, but dentists can use it ONLY in emergencies?! How about explaining a treatment plan for a 14 Y/Old without parent presence? Plz clarify. Thanks!!!

    • @mentaldental
      @mentaldental  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@ammoula2974 Minors do NOT have the authority to consent to any dental treatment including even a cleaning and radiographs. The parent or guardian must approve the treatment and cost involved. If the parent or guardian (or other family members) cannot be reached, the treatment is deferred. ONLY in an emergency or urgent situation, can the minor give assent (which just means verbal approval, it is not the same as consent) and the emergency care be delivered in a timely manner.

    Dr.Ryan, just want to ask. The same ethical standard exists no matter the financial arrangement in beneficence, you said treat the patient the same, isn't it under justice for fairness?

    • @mentaldental
      @mentaldental  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! I could definitely see that standard applying to justice as well. I have it listed under beneficence though, because the idea is to "do good" to every patient no matter their financial situation.
