Can you explain why nitrous is contraindicated for COPD patients partly due to the fact that it’s delivered along side oxygen and the patients respiratory drive depends on decreased oxygen, BUT on the slide about oxygen delivery you say that oxygen is INDICATED for COPD patients?
Hi. I would like to add that according to the latest emergency protocols in COPD patients also , in case of emergency, oxygen can be given for a very short duration till the emergency episode resolves / patient reaches hospital .

The NBDE Part II videos are absolutely relevant for the INBDE. There are no plans to remake those videos for the INBDE as they are very useful as they exist right now!

i am confused about that too; I thought oxygen is contraindicated for COPD patients- this was a point that was really drilled in dental school;
