I remember in splatoon 2, when checking more info about Main Power Up, the info explained what it would do to the currently selected weapon. For example, with bamboozler it would say "increase weapon damage" I wish they did that with special power up in splatoon 3. because unless you check the wiki or figure it out on your own, you have no IDEA what some specials do when combined with special power up. All it says is something along the lines of "Makes your special stronger" Sub power up has the same problem.

I mean, it's pretty easy for me to figure out what my specials do with SpPU. The Reefslider, for example, benefits from a longer track and greater blast, and the Tacti-cooler lets you stay energized for longer.

Now, if you go back and watch gameplay of splash being meta at the start of the game (before this patch) the UI to display splash looks slightly different Also, I forget what patch this was (7 or 8.0?), but they changed the shadow work or lighting or something in the equip menu. Go back and look at footage from the early seasons and then now and you’ll notice the difference
I literally just found out YESTERDAY that when you go to check someone's gear in the plaza or give their post a fresh, you can press zl to see what their badges are for. I HAVE PLAYED THIS GAME SINCE LAUNCH AND FOUND THIS FEATURE ON ACCIDENT. And this is a few days after I was thinking that that feature would be cool to have

A bit higher on customization options - Many shoes now can be worn with or without socks, many shirts have a regular and large size now, and many face wear can either be worn backwards if a hat or either on or above the eyes if glasses. Meaning a lot of the items in the game now give you two ways to wear it so it's not double the number you said, but it's probably around 1.5x... ...The customization option I most want that isn't in the game is decoupling shirts from jackets, so we can wear any (or no) jacket over any shirt rather than jackets coming with a shirt that we can't change separately - Similar to how you can wear any socks with any shoes in Animal Crossing, or the customization that's been announced for the indie life sim Paralives that's meant to be going to early access in 2025. But splitting headwear into multiple different slots in the same way Animal Crossing does it would be cool as well. (I feel like both of those would require fully decoupling the mechanics of abilities from the aesthetics of clothing, rather than the current 'you can fully customize what mechanics go on what clothing but the clothing is where the abilities sets are stored' semi-decoupling of them)
Another frustrating bit of geometry, is that the jump from the center railing to center wall on the stairs towards the lobby in the Splatsville plaza is just barely too tall for your inkling to make. You have to go up the steps and not the railing.
1,044,174,281,472 is the number for different octolings you can make. Add that to the 3,145,740,240,384 different inklings to get a grand total of 4,189,914,521,856 different characters you can make. I hope I did the math right for octolings. I just replaced the number of hairstyles.
The sub and special menu in S2 was actually how i found out about the squid beakons use. I would have never found out what the heck that thing is for without that menu

Did you know technically the most amount of matches you can make to 5 star a weapon (if you get freshness points in the match since it’s possible to get 0) is 16,000, if for every game you get KOd after the 1 minute mark but before the 2 minute. That way you get only 100 freshness per match which is the lowest you can get (again, not counting 0 which you can get if you get KOd before a minute passes) So who wants to get insta KOd 688,000 times to 5 star every weapon :D

The splash/sploosh one was definitely 3.0.0. They also slightly changed the rapid blasters in that patch.
